Woodlands Campground

Covered in poison ivy. Everywhere and I mean everywhere. COVERED.campsites and paths everywhere

This campground is surreal! The sound of the wind blowing through the tall trees will make you feel so good, you’ll forget the world when you’re there. The campsites are well maintained with access to electric sockets & water taps. Comfort stations are close by. It’s almost a mile away from Dunes beach, either you can hike, bike or ride on your car.

Très beau site de camping avec services. L'eau est à quelques endroits donc pas à tout les sites. Prévoir nettoyer la tente ou la roulotte si vous aller à la plage, le sable entre partout. Les plages sont magnifiques. Les douches sont gratuites et avec de l'eau chaude (au propane). Prévoir la réservation 5 mois d'avance jour pour jour et dès l'ouverture.

Part of Sandbanks Prov.park. Access to great beaches. Woodlands has big camp sites, some treed but a lot are open field, 30amp hydro available. No water hookup but there is a potable water filling and sewage dumping station at the entrance. Also bike trail runs through the grounds and the roads are paved witch is good for kids to ride scooters skate boards etc on.

Sandbanks est mon camping préféré. J'y reviens constamment. La beauté des plages, les sentiers à vélo ou pour la marche.
Les sites sont propres. Le personnel est présent et aimable. C'est un camping en parc provincial et non un parc d'attraction. La nature est la priorité.

I personally visited this campsite, it was an excellent experience living in a tent and doing a campfire. There are different level trails that are loop trails. I recommend bicycles for long trails that give you an amazing experience.
There is an entry fee and registration is required.

Very good site, amenities were fairly clean, dune beach was nice to sit and soak, not a long beach due to big drop-off but also not too busy compared to the other side of sandbanks. The firepits need to be reinstalled they are cracking down and have holes, no parts on top to grill from though

Site 732 is a great camp site for families with kids. It's big, flat, open and quite spacious. It's an easy walk to the comfort station and in quiet area of the campground.

732 is not in a forested area of the campground, so does get a fair amount of sun, however the bulk of the sun exposure is morning and early afternoon, in late afternoon and evening the sun is blocked by some small trees on the SW side of the site, and your trailer.

Looking forward to returning to Woodlands next year!

Sandbanks. Great Provincial Park. Sites with electricity and water. Lots of trees. Beautiful Outlet Beach.

It was our first time camping in Sandbanks and we enjoyed Woodlands Campground. Bathrooms were clean, water was easily accessible.

Nice campground. In Woodland, most campsites are surrounded by maturer trees and offer share. Facilities are maintained, but could use renovations. Not the cleanest bathrooms i've seen. Landscapes are BEAUTIFUL. The beaches are splendid with fine sands.

Camped here with a 19' travel trailer for a week in two different spots - fantastic experience! All of the spots are great and it's very serene on weekdays (there were middle-aged partiers on the weekend we were there, but they weren't too bad - I'm guessing they left their kids with the grandparents and were trying to feel young). The hiking trails, the beaches and the facilities were fantastic!

Sandbanks Provincial Park is a gem of a park with some of the nice beaches Ontario has to offer! No wonder this is one of the most popular parks in Ontario.

Really fun! It was my first time camping too, so it was nice being eased into the experience with this location.

Additionally, the beaches were pretty nice!

Nice campsite.get you firewood early. Brochure said they close at 8pm. We were there at 7: 30 pm and they were closed. Soooo no campfire first night.: (
