Woodlawn Bowl / Splitsville Guelph

Ever since Woodlawn bowl transitioned to splitsville, the prices have SKYROCKETED and the food is terrible. Used to love coming here for $2 games on the weeknights but it is now simply unaffordable. Like $60-80 an hour a lane plus being rushed by a timer… sucks.

Say goodbye to your student population, it’s too expensive. Even with the late night $25 lanes when you add shoe rental the prices are still double what they were.

My son had his 6th birthday here today. I cannot explain how wonderful the service was. The two girls working were amazing and so accommodating. They were so busy and yet happy, fast, and so helpful. The kids had so much fun for a very reasonable price. I will definitely be coming back in the future!

Very disappointing.compared to last years new years bowl! This year the price was $70 more expensive, they did not do the count down, and you had to request party favors.

The bowling balls were so greasy and felt disgusting to touch. I don’t understand why they are so oily. Every shot the ball was sliding out of my hands. Would only come back if they fixed this.

Had a wonderful time, staff was helpful, but the atmosphere was another thing. Music was way too loud, and some of the music videos were a bit inappropriate as we had young children with us. Lanes were shut down without warning during our play. Other than that, it was just ok. I've been to Cambridge, and the outcome was exceptional.

I've only been a handful of times but they have good food, lots of lanes, and it's usually not very busy.

Unexpected customer service in my life. Person was very rude he told us that no more lanes available we reserved already and still they don’t gave us lane and told its sold out. Please improve the service we wasted our time waiting there.

I had reservations at 9.15, I went there at 8.45
They said have to wait for 30 minutes. When I reached them back after 9.15, they said no more games allowed.

What is this? If they don’t want us as a customer, let us know before so we could go somewhere else.

Nice place to go with your family and friends. It’s a bit pricey but worth it. A lot of fun mini games are there along with bowling. Had fun️

We went for New Year's and we had so much fun. The staff is fabulous, the place is clean, the festive cocktails were delicious, so much so that I drank my way through the entire list.
We've decided this is going to be our new year tradition.
Also, they have a photo booth, we took photos at the beginning of the night, middle of the night and at the end of the night. So funny!

Very much family oriented. My girls had a blast and we are going back to throw bluer birthday. Staff are kind and smiley.

Great family fun.around $45 for a family to bowl for an hour and then $30 per child for arcade tokens (best value.still pricey.but kept them busy for another hour)

As an employee of CLGW I attend the Wednesday night special Olympics bowling with a client. Wednesday's are now my fav day of the week! Staff is so nice and my client has a blast

Excellent place to bowl, modern lanes, reasonable price with shoe rental. Good fun for all ages. Modern arcade is a hit for the kids, perfect venue for a birthday party that won't drain the wallet.

Everything was clean and it is a nice environment. Decent music playing that was family friendly. Good priced entertainment when we went on a discounted night. Thanks!

Extremely good atmosphere, very clean, and friendly staff. The connected bar and arcade are a huge bonus as well. Will definitely be coming back!

Took advantage of the kids bowl free promotion that they are a part of. My two boys and myself enjoyed two strings each and shoes and it came to just over $27 which wasn’t bad. Having said that, there were for guys “working “, but only one of them was working. I went up after our game to purchase an arcade card but waited for five minutes while no one wanted to acknowledge me… I was literally waving my arms and the guy continued to stare at his computer screen. Unless the older lady with glasses is working there, everyone else seems to not really understand their position in customer service.

Overall it wasn’t bad and will be back to take advantage of the half decently priced bowling, but they need to start spending money on new shoelaces, or learn how to untie the knot‘s that have accumulated over months or years and learn how to stitch as well.

The bowling and arcade is nice here, but i think the man who runs the bowling and arcade makes any hiccup smoothed out and is always nice. Even if a game malfunctions the owner? Fixes it right away or explains what might have happened nicely. However I gave 4 stars because of the restaurant attached to it. I had asked a girl at the ticket stand about the food - then she told me about the mozza sticks and that 7 come in the order. I went there to get them for our group and they were very pricey there. I ordered one order to share with our group, The guy behind the bar wasnt very warm - I paid 11$ for 7 tiny mozza sticks. I didnt tip as I was a bit in shock I was about to pay 11 bucks for 7 mozza sticks - the bartender looked at the reciept noticed I didnt tip and when our food came he only gave me 6.
I hope it made him feel better taking one over priced mozza stick away from kids. Now when we go back we get lots before or after and I will never book an event here as the food comes from the bar aswell.

$80 for 2 games for 2 people is way too expensive. Food was overpriced. Bartender can make good drinks

We came here for my daughter's 11th birthday party. Purchased the Platinum Package, which included 1 hr.of bowling, $10 arcade cards for the guests ($20 for birthday kid), pizza & beverage, and use of the party room.

The girls had a blast. The location is wheelchair accessible, which was necessary for one of the guests. There was a problem with the arcade cards, but it was solved promptly.

The arcade money doesn't go far, BUT the prizes are much better quality than at other establishments.

Overall, we would do this again.

Came here with some frends for a bowl very amazing experience had a fun time not to mention this is my very frist time at this location friendly people.

So disappointing on this place we came all the way from Kitchener and to spend some time here but have to turn back, so discriminatory. No coming back and won’t definitely recommend this place.

Bob the owner is so rude and disrespectful. Worth the drive to a different city or country to bowl.

The owner was extremely rude. My boyfriend and I came in and he didn’t have a mask because he forgot it at home. Expecting that they would have a box with some when we got there we just went in. When we asked if they had any he just said no and that without one we’d have to leave. When he tried to explain that he’d wear one he was just asking for one as he didn’t have one on him the owner rudely responded again saying “no. It’s been two years come on”. You’d think after 2 years he’d understand that sometimes things happen with our masks. He completely ignored us after that.

This place dont deserve even 1 star but had to post review. Strong racial discrimination was practicesd. The staff was misbehaving and enforced to put on masks while having meal. No recommendation to this place.

Best place to experience racism by the staff and the management. Mask rules only applies if you are not white. The staff will ask the people of color to wear the mask to the chin while having food and not to take it off completely. While the white guys in the next lane are comfortably bolwing without the mask on. Wonderful experience just the day before the mask mandates ends 20th March 2022.

Kept having issues with both of our lanes, ended wasting 20m of our lane time waiting for the balls to return.

My fiancé and I came here to bowl for two hours and had a great time! The colour changing lanes were really cool and fun. I think the only downside would be that the pins are attached to strings, so they don't fall like they naturally would and that often made it so that pins that would have fell did not. Overall though, it was a fun experience!

The place was very discriminating. First time i Have been badly disrespected that to on my birth day.
They want us to put on mask on our chin even while eating but at same time there were white people roaming around without mask.
When one of my friend pointed that they wanted us to leave. And didn’t even gave us refund for almost half of our time. I have never been to a Canadian establishment with Zero customer service.

If there is any place where you pay to ruin your evening then this is the perfect place.
We tried to talk to the staff and there was one guy (white, tattooed and wearing specs) was rude and looked like he was more interested in fighting even though there were ladies in our group. They make you pay up front and ask you to leave without resolving anything and don’t refund anything if this is not theft then what is?
I won’t step a foot in this place ever again.

Had a good time, but they are kinda slimey. Only give you the discounted extra hour, if you book it before you start playing.ie. You haven't used up your 1st hour, the place isn't busy, and they want to charge you like you just showed up $40 as opposed to $10, for 1 extra hour. Their loss though.

This is a great place to bring friends and family and have a few hours of fun for a pretty reasonable price. When you're done bowling, you can visit the arcade, there's a ton of fun games to play. Something for everyone. Ask them about their discounted evening rates.makes bowling so much more affordable.

It's a wonder these places can stay in bussiness the restaurants stay open no mater what's going on when they have to reduce nbers they do it.
Screwing your customers who has supported them for years it's your own fault if you end up closing down.

I spent ton of $ there with kids since 2019 I wish they would provide refunds for all money spent at such place with zero customer service!
This place claimed during my ON visit my wax sheet is not real and cannot be accepted. So I went to Service ON and they said it is fine, I guess guy who works there thinks he is his own Service ON department I visited 4 Guelph Restaurants and they said it is fine.
Trying to explain that person there how do you get passport ON forced through while we do not have those in effect yet was just waste of time.
Ironically enough I took couple kids to different arcade and had no issue with my piece of paper.

Had a blast with the family, It was nice to get out and do something "normal" again in this crazy, contagious world we live in. Woodlawn bowl has done a wonderful job with keeping things sanitized safe and fun

Rude staff, i had been compared to special need children because i brought my mask down to my nose when not in the middle of bowling and sitting at our seats. Manager came up and swore at us and we went concerned at this point. I stated hey if you need to see my anathema inhaler i dont mind getting it. Then compared me to special needs children saying if they could do it i could. He offer to sell me a face shield and i said okay so we can keep bowling. I had informed him hey you cant compare me to children and he got flustered and told me to get out we paid for two hours and left after 1. I would not recommend this to anyone that has concerns about health issues. Youll get berated and treated like trash. Please e if your going to comment on this post dont give the generic we were in orange stage. I get that. You know what you not supposed to do trying and fight and argue someone over not wearing a mask. Acknowledge that they have health issues and treat them like adults. Super unprofessional

Great place. Lots of fun for me and my little munchkin. Great staff/team. A d yummy food. Felt really welcomed and comfortable. Will definitely go back. P.s. Daughter loves the arcade games with guaranteed prizes.

Amazing place for bowling. Has league bowling and public bowling for great prices. 10 and 5 pin with many lanes. Arcade area and group/party area is also great.

Has covid precautions in place and is good an enforcing the rules.

The manager was extremely rude, disrespectful and unprofessional. He threatened to call the police on 20 year olds and kick us out while we were barley 2 minutes into the game. No one got to play once and we were kicked out with no refund. It was only 2 girls out of 6 people not wearing the mask one of which was playing (you do not have to wear the mask while playing) and one of which was standing in back. Both mentioned they will happily wear the mask and were ready to apologize until he came which a horrible manager attitude saying to get out and no refund. In the meantime a drunk girl came towards us and called us slu*s while he was standing on the side and smiling.

Never seen a more disrespectful manager before.he was super rude and was not understanding what so ever, definitely affecting the business with that kind of attitude.never coming back.

Great place to bowl! They check you in with a few questions and a temperature check, and you have to wear your mask for the entirety of your stay. The lanes are spaced out (every two lanes vacant). Cosmic bowling was a blast. Lots of fun features inbetween shots (chat with lanes, take pics, change vibe, etc). Thanks for the fun night! And thanks to all of the great staff who are working during a pandemic on a Saturday night. They are amazing.

Someone over stepped on covid restrictions and management laid down the law. Very happy to see. 6 out of 5 stars

The problem with this place is the Manager Jeremy. Hurts the business. Bob needs to learn what Jeremy is doing and replace him. Alot of missed opportunities! Give me a call Bob and we can chat about what ive seen!

The bowling alley had new machines and is very clean, inviting environment. Friendly staff with good covid protocols. Reasonable prices, haven't been bowling in awhile so have really no idea what the price should be. Definately would go back.

This place was amazing and friendly before covid, and they are just the same in the middle of it. As well as they have tackled the challenges of being open with covid and social distancing better then anyone I have seen. Go check them out!

They didnt want to give us glasses for our pitcher because they were closing in an hour and a half and didnt want to do the dishes again. They offered us plastic but we didnt want to make waste. They told us we werent allowed to drink from the pitcher. Finally 30 minutes before closing they slammed 4 glasses down on our table aggressively and didnt even look us in the eye when we said thanks. Was very strange.

We just wanted to watch the grudge, played VR then played bowling then watched the Grudge, all in all a good night

This place is so cute! A great option for a wholesome night out with family or friends! It was clean and they had bowling shoes in a range of sizes including super small and super big adult feet.:)

Owner is an absolute douche bag to the employees, disgusted by what I witnessed. He needs to either improve himself or get someone else to run the place.

Lanes constantly needed to be fixed and didn't get all games we paid for in. When we asked about any reimbursement the boy working was unbelievably rude. Told us we didn't clean up after ourselves, asked if we put our own balls away and has a brutal attitude towards paying customers. Very dissatisfied and disappointed with the service of our only bowling alley in Guelph.

Bowled here late Sunday evening.there were problems with the scoring system as soon as we started.our game.the girl we tried to speak with at the counter was ignoring us while she played with her cellphone before switching to rolling her eyes and pulling faces while my girlfriend tried to explain the problem.incredibly rude service, I can't believe the way these people behave.avoid this dump unless you enjoy being treated like garbage!
