WARNING! *STAIRS*

I took my dog to Woof for grooming based on a neighbour's recommendation. Everyone I talked to there seems really nice but I wont be able to go back due to the stairs! (and, honestly, the lack of transparency / concern.)

I asked before the apt where the grooming was, because human customers can't go behind the desk - I was told "just back there" and a door was pointed to. I said that was good because *my dog can't do stairs*. (note: there are a few wide easy steps, carpeted, indoors, into the shop she can manage.)

I find out after her grooming, completely by accident, that the grooming is actually *UPSTAIRS* through the door. SECOND FLOOR, stairs are just linoleum, no traction.

Shocked, I pointed out again that my dog *can't do stairs*.

Person I spoke with smiled and said my dog did fine on the stairs. I very blunted told them that she will hurt herself on stairs. Person was confused. I was too upset to engage further, so I just paid and left.

*The going rate for IVDD (aka spinal) surgery is over $15,000 these days, without rehab or wheelchairs, etc. *

Please educate your staff that just because a dog *can* do stairs, doesn't mean they *should* do stairs. And please let your customers know BEFORE their apt that grooming requires the dog to go up steep, slippery stairs, or be carried, so the owner can decide if that's safe for their dog or not.

WOW! The groomer did an amazing job, the pricing is perfect. Edgar came in for a bath & tidy. He came out a distinguished teddy bear. Don’t hesitate to try them out!

We have been sending our dog for country daycare and boarding for over a year now and have been very happy. Our dog is high energy and an “enthusiastic player” as they say, and they take great care of him. We love the daily pictures and thorough end of stay updates we receive, and our dogs always come home exhausted. Would definitely recommend if you’re looking for someone to care for your high energy dog!

I work a busy schedule and send my dog here every day of the week. These guys essentially have raised my pup. They tire him out and notify me when something is going wrong. I could ask for a better dog nanny. Would give 10 stars if I could. I am a “woofer” for life.

We have used many services at Woof for our dog including daycare, boarding, grooming, and utilized their shuttle on numerous occasions. The team is warm, welcoming, and express the utmost care and concern for our dog’s well-being and safety and are very communicative. Our dog always comes home tired, and happy. We would recommend Woof to anyone without hesitation, it is by far the best dog service we have utilized.

I love this place so much. We’ve been coming here with our Aussiedoodle for grooming a few years now and they’ve always been great. The staff are super warm and clearly treat him well. Thank you!

After a morning at Woof my wonderful dog Sari leaves prancing with a smile on her face. Sari lived on the street in Turkey for 5 years. Shopkeepers would sometimes feed Sari and her brother. Both were stabbed. Despite her sometimes challenging life Sari is a loving pup. She is my one rescue who is hesitant to leave my side. That is until she met Amy and Amanda at Woof. Woof is a place that really cares about the dogs and the people who bring them in. They have a great deal of expertise and oodles of love to ensure that your pup is well cared for and loved. I know that every consideration is made to make their time safe and fun. Woof strives to make the world a better place for the dogs.

My dog is a bit anxious, but what I’ve learned from Woof is that he’s picking up a lot of that anxiety from me. Not only has everyone at Woof been super patient with my dog, they’ve also been so patient with me, and have gone above and beyond to make sure we are BOTH happy. I appreciate the time and care they put into their clients (human and dog), and couldn’t be more grateful to have them in the neighbourhood.

We just moved and there's a daycare and groomer a 2 minute walk away from our new home, but we're sticking with Woof. We've taken advantage of most of their services - city daycare, country daycare and boarding and grooming - and couldn't be happier with them.

The country daycare and boarding location is hard to beat for our high energy Aussie mix. He loves to hike, he loves to play, he *loves* Ash, and it's really great going out of town knowing that he's getting a vacation of his own and being well taken care of in a home environment instead of a kennel. The city daycare is also great, and it's really handy to be able to book a grooming touch up while he's there. Both locations regularly update you with photos and Ash keeps in touch with thorough updates during boarding. We love it and would recommend it to anyone.

We have been bringing out two Italian Greyhounds here for about 6 weeks now and they have adjusted so well and very quickly. Within a few sessions the crying stopped and they happily walk in.

One of dogs has mild anxiety and struggles to make friends, the other is selective but we have had reports of both snuggling up to other dogs and playing!

They come home happy and tired.

I also appreciate that the team post loads of photos throughout the day so you can see your dog.

Staff is friendly and will email or text you if they notice any changes in your dogs behaviour to keep you looped in.

Lastly, recently I noticed they decorated the space the dogs are in for the holidays! So cute!

My dog has anxiety and can be quite difficult. I started taking him here to get his nails trimmed, and the staff here are wonderful with him! Not to mention, their prices are very reasonable. I highly recommend Woof!

The staff at Woof are fantastic and very professional. Unfortunately my dog Stevie can be a bit sassy to say the least and she always comes out of Woof with a perfect hair cut! I couldn’t recommend Woof enough to anyone who needs a dog groomer on Bloor west!

Let me start by saying we took our dog to woof for grooming several times before and they always did an amazing job at an affordable price (that is why I'm giving two stars instead of one star).

However, unfortunately not only did their prices increase recently but it also seems like they've lost the care and attention to detail they used to have. When my wife brought our dog in for her groom this week they immediately warned us she was very matted and would have to go short, which we thought was weird because she was probably the least matted she has ever been and they were still able to keep her fur relatively long the other times (even post lockdown!). When she came out we were shocked to see her completely shaved almost to the skin, including her fluffy tail! We've had our dog for 6 years now and they've never had to shave her tail off no matter how matted she was. And the most concerning thing is this was done with zero warning, not even a call to give us a heads up or ask if it was ok. When we asked them about it they didn't even let us talk to the groomer and just told us she apologized and "forgot to mention it", which is a pretty upsetting answer given the drastic decision she took on her own. It just seemed like the groomer was in a hurry and didn't want to take the time to work through the matts so just shaved it all as the fastest easiest thing to do. The length of the rest of the fur also seemed very uneven like it was done in a rush. This is by far the worst grooming job she's ever had. Not only that, but our dog seemed extremely nervous when we walked in and was even whimpering, which she's never done before not even when we take her to the vet. She refused to go with the groomer when she came down and didn't even take treats which is extremely unusual for her.

We didn't want to leave this review because we thought it was just a one off, but after our dogs reaction and reading a similar review someone else left we think it's important to share our experience

We have used them for daycare and grooming and have only had good experiences with both. The staff are extremely warm and caring. They really understood our dog's anxiety and made sure she was ok. We would even get updates from the staff when Abby would make new friends. They really care and it shows.

All the staff at Woof! Daycare have been incredibly patient with our dog O’Malley. He is slow to trust new people and for the first few months he was apprehensive about going to daycare and now he leads the way to their door and inside! It’s a great feeling knowing our four legged guy is comfortable there and we’ll taken care of.

People are super nice. Booked a Covidtimes nail trim for my 60lb dog who doesn't like to be manhandled. Will come back for another nail trim!
