The store has diversified products for several embroidery/yarn crafts, and it offers yarn in many colours and sizes.

Some products show a great sense of humor/good taste from the owner/purchasing officer of the store.

I couldn't find the yarn I was l looking for, and I didn't feel particularly welcome, but I must say that the store is a great place to find supplies, some of them we didn't even know existed before we entered the store (photos attached).

There is a discount/sale corner with good deals, but it could use a change regarding the way that yarn is displayed, as it is confusing as it is now.

Always fun to go in here! People passionate about crafting, knowledgeable about product and an almost overwhelming amount of stock! One of my FAVOURITE places in Ottawa.

It makes me so sad that the staff in this store are now more interested in themselves, and the customers are treated like an inconvenience. I'm an avid knitter and have shopped here for over 20 years. The customer service has really changed in the last few years, and this is no longer the friendly and happy yarn shop it used to be. Recently, I was in to purchase some needles, a transaction that requires a salesperson to go behind the counter to get the needles. I waited nearly 10 minutes for someone to help, and the clerk that reluctantly helped was impatient and unhelpful. She spent most of her time speaking to a colleague about a display they were setting up, and was clearly annoyed that she had to stop and help me, a lowly customer. Unfortunately, I have also seen this type of interaction with customers many times here, and I find it's a shame to see people be treated as unwelcome in a yarn shop of all places.

Stopped by with my family knitting enthusiasts and even I was impressed. So much product and helpful staff. If I was a knitter, I'd go here.

They have the largest selection of wool, all companies and all prices. A must stop for all knitters

Had an absolutely wonderful time here! A large store and very well organized and labeled. Also a large "tent sale" section. Lived all the knitted garments you could touch to see if you liked the feel of the finished product. A great variety of yarns, in a huge price range, so you didn't break the bank to get a good quality yarn. Absolutely loved it!

Fabulous. I did get lost finding my way there. Well worth the trip. Found more than I was looking for. Thank you ladies for your help. Will be back for sure.

I really tried to give this place a shot, thinking maybe that the staff just had an off day the first few times I visited. Unfortunately, this last visit was the straw that broke the camel’s back.

Now, I understand that knitting is predominantly seen as a craft done by women. However, I am a man who knits and who has been enjoying the craft since early childhood. Yet, every single time I’ve visited this establishment, I’ve been called ma’am, miss, referred to as “she”… And even when I correct the staff, it continues. They simply don’t listen or don’t care.

Then there’s the condescending attitude. When I was searching for yarn, I was repeatedly directed to the discount area despite stating I was looking for a specific yarn by a specific brand I knew the store carried. On one occasion, I was looking at a set of circulars, and the staff member stated that I should opt for the cheapest set because I couldn’t afford the Lykke set I was looking at. Half of the time I’m spoken to as I don’t know what I’m looking for/talking about, and the other half I’m completely ignored when asking for assistance.

I genuinely don’t know if I keep running into the same few awful staff members, but I will not be returning. It’s just not worth it.

The staff here is amazing. They are so helpful, encouraging, and knowledgeable. They've been providing me help with my first crochet projects- picking the best yarn, supplies, and tips for improving my skills.

They have an excellent selection of yarns. My favorite part is how well all the sections are based on yarn weight and very well labeled.

The best yarn store in Ottawa!

The only small downside is that it would have been nice to have been acknowledged sooner when I got to cash. I ended up waiting for several minutes while the associates talked among themselves. Totally understand Saturdays must be a busy day, but a simple "be with you in a second, you can put your stuff down there" would have been nice.
