Very let down in the overall outcome. I first felt comfortable leaving thinking I would be alright, and didn't worry and had confidence that things would workout and I would be in a better position with WSIB behind me every step of the way. I was told I would end up with a job of equal pay and something I would want to do. After 2 years of not physically working, My worker had to let me go if not returning. I was Encouraged and felt comfortable with letting go of my place of employment after 20 years of doing what I was passion about. I loved my job, D I site the face it made me ill. Shortly afterwards, unexpectedly freezing my wages at 80% less then my earnings. Now on OW (welfare), have to go back to doing the same job, dispite the health problems it causes me.
What was the point of the last 2 years and going through all of this, to in the end loose a great job, I went to school for. I had senurity and good benefits etc. To now have to go back and do the same work but start at the bottom.
During the 2 years I was off work, suddenly without explanation or warning, my worker changed, so didn't have an understanding of me or my history. I always Had a hard time getting ahold of someone and getting any response in a timely matter. Things not full explained, never seemed to get my questions answered properly, so never did I have a full understand or knowledge of going on what was going on (When after 2 years my wages were frozen 80% decrease in my income) Therefore was not prepared for what was I was about to face, my huge loss in income. Would not pay for me to go back to collage and do something I was interested in “we are not reinventing the wheel”. Things were never explained my questions never answered fully or accurately. I have become extremely depressed.
If I was to go back in time, I would of chosen to suffer with my illness until I retired (already worked through it for 20 years) then to have gone through and trusted WSIB. Only to be left in a position where I am on welfare unemployed, with no jobs that I am interested or qualified for no medical/dental benifits for me or my children, on the verge of getting my utilities turned disconnected, mexed and behind on credit cards payments on the verge of losing my house. I have gone from living a comfortably, with my children being able to have what they needed and wanted, now I am desperately struggling to stay afloat. Biggest mistake that costed my life and happiness.

Words can not describe how betrayed i am with WSIB. I have been diagnosed with PTSD fallowing a major workplace accident.the referral from my doctors office to get diagnosed and treated was 16 months where I live. I was denied WSIB because the application window is apparently a max 6 months.when i was still waiting 10 months for a diagnosis.when the condition was putting me in a cationic state where I COULD NOT FUNCTION to apply.

Never seen and witnessed so much injustice, unprofessionalism, in humain case managers that keep treating people on the impression that they are beneath them. All of that in one place is frustrating considering they are supposed to be doing the opposite especially when you are injured.
Bad experience despite having won my case after two years of having to go through all lawyer to get my rights back.

Definitely working to ensure that workers' safety is paramount. They follow up on injuries through telephone calls, guidance, documentation and treatment with all parties, where necessary.

Couple of burps but got done. Very efficient thanks. Well changed banks and now my life time pension is missing. WSIB says they sent it and Bank of Montreal says they didn't receive it. Turns out changing your account info 9 days ahead wasn't enough and they sent my pension to the wrong bank which I have no access to

In 2019 I suffered a workplace injury which has left me in a permanent wheelchair and also with a permanent permit and unable to work there has been no support from this company at all financially or anything to do around my injury this company is all about the employer and do not care about the INJURED Worker this place is a joke

As a former case manager I can assure you that this place is awful and corrupt. If a case manager isn't shutting down claims and bullying people back to work fast enough then you're a goner. Your managers success is dependent upon stats. I once got in trouble for listening to an injured worker for too long while they vented.

In 2018 I lost my leg at a work accident. They pay for all my medical bills, but my issue is that they only gave me $30,000 then they cut my paychecks down to $400 bi-weekly from $950. Without me finding a job.
And now I feel abandoned.
So yeah they are garbage.

I injured my back at work, my wsib claims representative wanted me to return to work full time after my injury despite the fact I could barely move, after my X-rays came in and proved I was actually injured and had a herniated disc in my back, my wsib claims representative Adam Lyons refused to pay me for time I had taken off specifically requested by my doctor. He told me there is no “proof” of my injury and basically said I had no reason to feel hurt because I wasn’t.lol.
After months of doing physiotherapy, I am still not 100% but he took it upon himself to cut off my benefits saying that I should be back to normal without consulting me, my doctor or my physiotherapist. I seriously hope I never get Injured again because I never want to have to deal with wsib again.
