Haven't been here in years, only because of distance. Came in with a group of coworkers for appetizers and drinks after work.

The atmosphere is quaint and warm, reminding me of actual pubs in Britain.

We all ordered 1-2 apps each, and I found these tasty and a satisfying portion size.

The server was prompt with refills, and was polite and professional.

I'll have to come back for a full meal next time!

Came in after work and Had Brianne as a server-awesome service! She made sure my drink was always full and was super personable! Def will be back

This restaurant is steady. You can count on the experience being good. The food is always freshly made and tasty. The server was as friendly and efficient as always.the price was in line with other similar places. So why not 5 stars? 5 stars is reserved for very good.everything. This place is very close to that. Don't hesitate to eat here, you will be pleased with the experience. We will be back.

Highly overrated. Food tasted frozen, not fresh. Management was terrible and rude when I tried to explain, in a very polite manner. Don't waste your time or money.

Went for lunch today.the staff from the hostess to the waitress to the chef was so incredible. Friendly and always checked in on us. So nice to visit a resturant again! The Thai nachos are amazing! Keep up the great work!

Nice menu large selection of pub style food reasonable prices very good service freindly atmosphere parking can be a bit tight would recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a casual dinning experience

I had been to the sister restaurant on Locke street several times and was in the area of upper James and thought I'd stop in for a late lunch.they are definitely different restaurants. Locke is more a bistro and upper James a sports bar.service was slow, the French onion soup was great but the club sandwich was a disappointment after having had the one at the Locke street restaurant. I had to ask for silverware and had to wait for the bill. I may try again if in the area, but will definitely be going back to the location on Locke street.

Awesome atmosphere! We enjoyed our dinner on the cute patio - the buffalo chicken sandwich with sweet potato fries is yummm Our waitress Steph was super friendly, provided quick service and is all around wonderful? Cheers

Great food and awesome service. The caramel cheese carrot cake is by far the best dessert I've ever had.

Would have been 5 star if the ceaser I order had more than a cucumber slice and Lemmon on the rim. Come on! Pickled bean or celery or anything other than 1 slice of cucumber lol.

This was our first patio visit in 2021 and we loved it! Staff was happy to have us, there's a great vibe, good music, the perfect IPA and food didn't disappoint. Brisket mac and cheese and fish tacos (see pics) were filling and delicious.

Breanne is awesome. Always attentive to our needs. Drinks were there immediately. Food came out fast and was piping hot and was out of this world. Highly, highly recommend it.

Enjoyed liver and onions with veggies and mashed garlic potatoes. Large portion. No room for dessert. Inside dining. All covid protocols in place. Excellent server.

Good old fashioned pub with great selection of pub classics. Good vibes, fast service. Staff was very welcoming after re-opening. One of the best fish and chips in town, good portions and price

Taco platter was good, nachos were crisp and fresh, good salsa, chili & chicken included a meal for two. Ordered 1 Lb breaded wings w buffalo butter sauce.not very large wings but lots of flavour and celery/carrot sticks incl.good selection of draft and bottled beer served cold and not overpriced. Lots of patio space and we'll shaded with umbrellas and sails.located at the side and rear of restaurant vs facing onto Upp James. Satisfying pub style envory.staff were super friendly and attentive. Note the burgers and some of the salads coming out looked delicious so had we enjoyed those the rating may be 5/5.

Decided to try a new restaurant tonight with my daughter. We were seated promptly when we got there and the restaurant was very busy. Our server came over to our table and with no introduction he asked if we'd like a drink, we gave our order and he swiftly went off to retrieve it. He returned after 5 mins to drop the drinks off and without a word swiftly left again. 10 mins later he returned to take our order, he was friendly but not personable, his customer service was lacking which put a damper on making me want to return to this restaurant. It's a pity because the food was actually very good. Meatloaf and mashed potatoes were hot and well seasoned, side veggies were a bit hard. Fish tacos were very filling, good fresh flavor but could use some spice.

If unprofessional was an experience, it would look like this restaurant and it's staff. So unprofessional and rude behavior from the staff. Delivery drivers think thrice before accepting an order from this place.

Philly cheese steak was said to be enjoyable, I found the flavours of the fish tacos to be confusing (could be that I'm not too big on mayo/white sauces) but also I find there not to be enough fish. This place got a 4 because the service was great and the ambiance helped; was great to talk to a regular and it just felt comfortable.

Our waiter Carlos was excellent, especially with our friends' kids who are special needs. Accessibility is a huge part of how this location operates.

The fish and chips is so light, no oil taste.
The taco salad is amazing
And the brownies OMG is just the perfectly sweet.

Service was spectacular, even with how much of a pest I can be, server put up with all my shenanigans. Food and beer were really good as well ;-)

Been to all locations and its always consistent amazing food! Definitely well worth the money as portions are great and quality and service are perfect!

We try to support local businesses but this was terrible service. Went in to pick up an order, no one even looked at me. I finally stopped a young man after waiting 5 minutes and asked if this is where I get the take out orders. He came back a few minutes later and put my bags in front of me and walked away. I knew I had to pay so continued standing there. A gentlemen walked in for his order and a waitress approached him immediately to serve him. He left for a moment and she at that point asked me if I was taken care of. She took my payment finally. It has been a long time since I was treated like that. As a woman I was horrified and I will not be back. During Covid times I will tip extremely well except tonight.

Ordered fish and chips, they were fresh and hot and ready for my pick up time. The tarter sauce and coleslaw were homemade and delicious.

We tried Ye Olde Squire for the first time and the food was great. I had the fish and chips and the fries were so good! Hot, crispy and salted perfectly! The fish was excellent! Crisp and light! Highly recommended!

Love the upper James location. Food is always great and we always ask for Carlos. He is fantastic and always friendly. This location also takes COVID safety measures very serious!

Food was great. Place was safe and adhered to all covid 19 protocols. Blake our server was fantastic. My daughter loves their chicken tenders so we will be back

My husband and I were really just looking for some good comfort food. Seems like most menus these days look the same but we had lots of great options. Our server was Lisa at the bar. She was wonderful. Loved the atmosphere. Can tell they're taking covid measures seriously and it shows. Thank you for making our impromptu outing easy?

Good food, added a bigger patio now into the parking lot. Staff are friendly and I felt quite safe (masks and cleanliness). Had a club, other had burger and kid had grilled cheese. Drinks were great

Our meal was really good, staff was friendly and service was fast. But it was a little concerning at how many people they had inside.

I visited Ye Ole Squires a few times already and I enjoy the place very much. I never had a bad meal there, the service is excellent and the staff is friendly. This restaurant exceeded my expectation. I highly recommend.

Love the food here. Good delicious portions and our server Carlos was fantastic. Brought napkins and drink refills before we even needed them!

I've ate at Squires for over 20 years. The food is consistently delicious. A paddy burger tastes as good today as every other time I've had it.

The mash potatoes are the best I've found
