Ye's Sushi Waterloo

Arrived at 9: 10pm, restaurant closes at 10pm. I was directed to order takeout as it was close to closing time.

Food was delicious and quick. Service was good, hard to track someone down to pay though. Worth the price

Worst and truly disappointing customer service I have ever seen! The customer service was subpar with servers struggling with basic English and showing no responsiveness to questions or suggestions. The method of serving, using trays with dirty dishes from other tables, raises serious hygiene concerns. The quality of the food was terrible, and was shocked to discover an additional charge for taking leftovers home. The staff's behaviour, speaking in their own language, mocking, and constant stares made it an uncomfortable environment. Every moment spent there felt unpleasant. Should not be in the food business at all. PERIOD.

Terrible place. They literally scam you with their "All you can eat" offer and charge you if you don't eat everything you ordered. I never been to a restaurant that you need to take your food to the bathroom in order to clear the plate. Terrible service, they seem not to like people, and are unhelpful in terms of suggestions or basic politeness. The food is also bad, not the worst, but small portions and doesn't seem fresh. I'm a huge fan of Asian good and traditions, but these restaurant is an embarrassment to the name "Asian restaurant". Just evade at all costs.

Worst experience at this restaurant. Went for a birthday and sat for an hour and a half at the restaurant and received a quarter of what we ordered. Less than 6 dishes. Hot food was cold. Dishes never cleared from our table. Restaurant was busy, but this was unacceptable and has never happened to its before. It was our favourite restaurant and we will never return. Overpriced and left hungry.

Do not come here. Service is horrible and they rip you off. My wife got a bone in her gums because of their negligence and she was being careful because she had gotten one before and still got stabbed. Keep in mind we already had a bad taste in our mouth this visit because they gave us someone else's order and told us to eat it anyway. After the bone we tell management and as we leave they charge us full price for it. My wife is still cleaning up blood in her mouth at this point. Did I mention we come here about once a week because it was our favorite spot. Never again.

Came for daughters birthday. The allure? The chocolate fountain, which they no longer have. Very disappointing for her. Brother is picky eater.they used to have pizza and fries at buffet but no longer have that so tried to order steamed veg and beef shish kebab for him but meat came out burnt to a crisp and steamed veg was covered in gross sauce so he ended up with only bowl of rice, some fries and scoop of ice cream. Asked for discount on him due to very little food coupled with burnt food we had as well as slow service, nothing was allowed as compensation for bad experience! Bathrooms not attended to. One with pee all over seat, another clogged, third closed. Soap dispenser empty and paper towels/toilet paper on floor. Will not return

So disappointed…. Been coming here for years and was here today and all I got to say is DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY PEOPLE! Waited 1hr and 15mins for 4 dishes. When I complained they deleted my whole order and acted like I never ordered food and still made

They give more food than what you order to try and force you to leave food behind so you have to pay extra.i received at least 6 pieces of extra sushi i didnt order

"crispy dragon roll" is coated in heavy sticky rice meant for desserts making it a very heavy for a 5 piece roll

Decent AYCE sushi! Quick service and good sized portions. Always consistent. They don't have the salad bar anymore

I don't know why some of the reviews are so rude; this place was amazing.my boyfriend liked it so much he insisted we go back again the very next day.the deep fried dragon rolls were like.ascending to the heavens; fantastic.everything we ordered was great and the service was good.

I was with my family, the food was good, but the service just awful. We were sitted at our table, our waiter didn't explain how to order and just left. The plates just came without telling us what was each. And our waiter didn't came back to our table during the whole dinner, not even to ask if we needed anything else at all.

Food was so good we had to go back 2 days in a row.even thinking about going there a 3rd one in a row x3
The service was impeccable, no issue at all, they even remembered we had a mango smoothie the day before, deep fried dragon roll were just perfect, smoothie are perfect too.

If you are considering going to Ye's Sushi, definitely visit. It is an amazing resturant best for it's all you can eat options.
Althought the pictures on the menu slightly portray the meal you receive, the food always matches the serving size and consistant delicious flavour.
Their service has always been amazing and I would never hate.
The atmosphere looks upscaled but their seating, tables, and layout is still a standard resturant such as a Boston Pizza or Craby Joes.
All things considered if you enjoy asian food or want to try it for the first time Ye's Sushi is the right place for you.

It was horrible. We used to come here often. But I don't think we will anymore. They changed the crab meat it's pastey and if they give you the wrong order and you say something about it they make you eat it or pay for it and this short woman comes out of the kitchen and glares at you the rest of your visit. Not to mention it's super humid do not visit on a hot day they don't have the proper cooling for a sushi place. You will stick to the seats and your sushi will sweat.

Great place, came here for my boyfriends birthday with my family and had a great time. We went on a Tuesday when the prices are the best. The cheese wontons are the best I’ve had, great sushi and spring rolls. Loved the edamame and the chicken. Good selection of beer as well, my mum got the strawberry daiquiri which was huuuuge. Great place!

Really good place and very cheap (lunch is $25?), been going here with friends for a very long time!

The food is literally outstanding with by far one of the strongest and greatest serving team I’ve ever experienced. The only thing that makes me cringe a little is how non personable the servers are and how they just plop your food on the table almost rudely at times without saying a word to you then venture off to the next table to quickly plop and bail to. As a Manager at a fast food restaurant, we value personable and friendly service… I really think some of these servers you have need adjust their serving styles to be more friendly-like. That is the only suggestion/recommendation I have for your team to improve on, otherwise you guys rock!

Went here for lunch buffet on a Sunday. Overall great experience, atmosphere, and wide selection of items on menu. Especially loved the cheese wontons, ice cream, eel sushi, and dragon roll. Impressed by fast service upon ordering, although the waiters could have been a bit more friendly. Price was reasonable at $25/person. Would recommend!

Love the sweet potato and tempura crab rolls the most. Service is great. Missing the buffet part though, they should bring that back especially since it's expensive now.

We’ve been several times to this restaurant and the food has always been consistently great. Their bento boxes are delicious. The only downside is the service as it always takes forever to get a table and the servers don’t speak English very well

Food was good, service was great, I find the lighting annoying. Sharp track lights in your eyes. They keep the food moving!

Had the AYCE sushi. $33 per adult plus tax and tip. My wife ordered various rolls and sashimi and enjoyed them all. I ordered various tempura and other Asian dishes. Tempura was crisp but very oily. Service was fast, pleasant, and efficient.

For the price, it's pretty worth it. The dinner was around $40 which I found much cheaper than many other places in Waterloo and pretty decent quality
