Yi Fang Taiwan Fruit Tea

I bought the Saturday special, pineapple green tea with 50% sugar. It was super sweet with no fruit flavour, it literally tasted like syrup. Please note it was syrup and not sugar water, it was so damn sweet. The drink was sweeter than a 100% sugar drink from any other store, super not worth. Wasted $6! Went back to the store to complain, the staff refused to remake the drink. I just gave her the drink and told her to throw it away. Complete waste of money, avoid!

Had the Brown Sugar Milk Tea Latte with tapioca and the passionfruit yea. They were not bad though the passionfruit was a little too sour. I do like the tapioca as they are softer than many of the other places. The service was great and the atmosphere was nice. Overall, it was a good experience.

Ordered peach fruit tea, but not too good maybe because of my personal preference, I like green tea better. The staff said the tea is 青茶… then I ordered another Yakult 益力多茶, taste much better, but it’s way too too sweet… wasted the drink. I can’t drink too sugary at night hours. I trash the drink when I got home. The night staff was very patient and polite. It was a Friday night. Only the drinks were not too good. That’s why I only give 3 stars! I was too thirsty and no photos taken!

I love their large selection of ginger drinks, especially during the winter months, or wet/damp days, as well as all the alternative milks (oat and soy) to choose from. I was expecting average service, but I went when they first opened and the guy in there was super friendly and had no problem with me ordering in English. Service was great, drinks were made quickly, and tasted good. Tapioca was chewy and done perfectly

The specialty fruit tea seems to have very common fruits, just a few slices of apples, oranges, and passion fruit. 30 sugar still has a slightly sour taste, a large cup costs 7.49 before tax. It’s not as good as other fruit teas priced at NT$9.00. There are many types of fruits, including watermelon.

The peach latte has a very light fruity flavor. The girl’s habit in the kitchen is to wipe her hands on her T-shirt after cutting the fruit, and wipe it on

It was a regular day and no one ordered in front of me but still took me over 20 minutes to wait. Extremes disappointed

Never went to this location/brand and wanted to try. They had the mango pomelo slush on promo that got me in the door. When ordering the cashier was rude, I asked for adjustments on the sugar and ice level she said it couldn't be adjusted, etc. Other people ordered the same drink after me, they were able to.could be language barrier, her English comprehension whereas other customers spoke to her in Chinese. I told myself, fine whatever. When the drink was ready I had to ask for a bag for takeout, she knew it was the promo special which came with a 'nicer' red takeout bag, instead she gave me a normal plastic bag. It did make me feel discriminated, other customers ordered the same drink and got the bag. I asked her what's up, doesn't this come with the red promo bag? In response she replied, "yes sure" and roughly handed me the takeout order. I know she was trying to pull a fast one on me, saving the cost for next customer assuming I knew nothing. I tried the drink back at home, it was bland and watered down, I doubt I will visit again or recommend to friends/family.

I love coming here after a long day of shopping. They have a wide selection of fruit teas and slushes. The place itself is quite small and often packed so be prepared to wait for your drinks. Highly recommend the winter melon with lime if you want something fresh and herbal and the mango pomelo with sago if you have a sweet tooth.

The service is the slowest I’ve ever had. Do not come if you are running low on time. 1 drink took us 30min for takeout.

Honestly gotta be the slowest bubble tea store across GTA. There’s only 2 staff working and the cashier doesn’t know how to make any drinks so there’s only ever one person making drinks. The person in the back seems inexperienced as well, she’s always looking at the paper taped on the wall for the recipe it seems. Waited at least 30 minutes……. Still waiting. Got here at 2: 20, it’s now 3: 03. They’re only serving #37, we’re 39.

Unless you’re willing to wait 30 mins for bubble tea that doesnt taste that great, dont come here

This location’s drinks are decent, good even, but it is overshadowed by their very bad customer service from the employees. Some employees are okay, but there’s been too many repeat incidents with slow, rude, and unnecessarily snappy customer service. You also can’t make any accommodations to drinks even if they seem doable. The price point isn’t that good either, but that’s the price for bubble tea nowadays. If you’re impartial to your bubble tea, check out surrounding locations first.

Hope they could have better staff training. The male staff was very rude. I’ve ordered from this location many times, as well as from the ones in downtown and YF, this was definitely the worst one I’ve ever had. As much as I love Yi Fang’s drinks, there is no way im returning to this place ever again:) There are many other good fruit tea places with nice staff and good service, I’d rather not to spend money just to ruin my day.p. S. There have been so many bad reviews all about this one rude male staff with long hair in the past months. The description matched with the same staff I met today. If it really was the same person, I’m very surprised he’s still around after all these months. Looks like the store owner/manager just doesn’t care about all these negative feedbacks:)

I ordered pineapple yakult and my husband ordered mango pomelo sago slush
Both taste really blend.

Pineapple is not fresh, don’t know why it’s marinated with sugar. I guess it’s can pineapple.

Slush supposed to be icy, chill, make mouth freezing. But this one was luke warm, no icy at all. Just watery. And where is pomelo?

They continued to open during lockdown. The price is not cheap but their drinks and service were great! There was no long queue. They offered some Winter specials (can be served hot or warm according to your preference). It’s worth a try!

We went back for their new promotional drink. It was a very good deal at $4.99 (Regular Size). The Mango Pomelo Sago Slush was very refreshing. We enjoyed this fruity drink very much.

It was great to visit again! Their drinks were always consistent with good quality. We were happy with our drinks.

Recently, I came to this Yi Fang location at First Markham Place for bubble tea and fruit tea again. It wasn’t busy and no long queue. The drinks were still very good and the service was efficient.

Nice place with great drinks and friendly staffs!
This place gets pretty busy on the weekend.
Staffs are working their best to provide good services. Not sure why there were so many bad reviews about the male cashier with long hair. He was always super nice and welcoming every time when we were there.
Stop complaining about why staffs aren't able to "accommodate" or "customize" based on your request. There are standards that they need to follow to ensure the taste and quality of the drink. This is global franchise business like MacDonald, not just a random bubble tea store.
Last but not least, sugar cane series are the best. Peach fruit tea is unique and a must try. Bring back guava fruit tea please!

I was here today. I ordered a mango pomelo sago slush and a customer came way after me ordered the exact same drink. The staff served my drink to this new customer. That is not right. When I made the server aware of what happened, he gave me a shrug and said “your drink is complicated”. I don't even know why it has anything to do with serving the wrong customer.

I recommend you use a better system to organize your orders and your customers such that there will not be these kind of incident in the future.

Side note* the drink tasted pretty good!

I never heard of a bubble tea place that won’t let you add a topping unless you get a large size. I ordered the Yi Fang fruit tea and I found the tea was too strong to compliment the fruit. The cashier girl was also snappy when I assumed they had coconut jelly, which they don’t. I ordered one drink and it was $9.55 (large fruit tea with aiyu jelly), never again.

I feel like, this place is better for fruit drink. And for sure, it is more healthy, if you consume fruits vs tapioca.

Great spot with lots of drink flavours & options in a well decorated space. They seemed to be having some technical issues when we visited but they still offered great service and worked quickly, definitely recommend?

Too bad I only can choose 1 star, if I can I will give it a negative 10 star for the male cashier with long hair and with his rude attitude.

I ordered a medium size pineapple green tea with sago.the drink was not good.here are the reason.
1.the green tea just too light and cannot test grrn tea at all.
2.very few pineapple can be found from the drink.
3.the sagos are just too soft.the total drink is not good al all!

Worst service and flexibility ever!

Simply asked them to not add passion fruit, told me not possible and staff keeps on selling me to take other drinks. Rather than accommodate customer needs they just decided to sell you on something that you don’t want.

Worst service ever today.i have always been visiting this location, however just a minute ago i got the very worst service ever.whoever the onwer should fire this tall guy with long hair and does not understand any Chinese.he has nooooo patience and I was the only one ordering at that time. He even not willing to give me two single bags.how cheap it is. He treated me like I am the virus. No respect, very bad attitude. Fire him pls! This guy should go back and learn what is customer service before find a job.shame on you!

Don't complain about the wait times everyone, they make them fresh for you with real fruit and all the good stuff! I love this place. The price is a bit on the higher side but it's all worth it for the quality and the fact that it's always fresh.

The staff was super welcoming and patient with taking our order. We decided to get the brown sugar pearl with soy milk and the red bean sago milk slush.

Brown sugar pearl soy milk (comes in fixed ice and sugar levels) - We got one of our go to orders of brown sugar but instead of getting regular milk we tried it with soy milk instead! We really enjoyed it and the soy milk paired well with the brown sugar. The brown sugar pearls here were smaller in size in comparison to regular pearls and were rich in flavour but we would've preferred them to be more chewy. Overall the drink was really good and we would definitely get this again!

Red bean sago milk slush - This was basically their take on the classic Hong Kong dessert 紅豆西米露 (red bean sago) but in drink form. We were really impressed with this and loved it! The coconut flavour was strong and there was lots of sago and red bean in the drink. Although we did find it to be a little pricey, we would definitely get this drink again.

I visited the first Markham location today and ordered my usual. The cashier did not want to handle my cash, and gave me a hard time for paying with it. I had my coupon from my last purchase and they took it and did not apply it. The male cashier didn’t care at all. Horrible service and never coming back.

The drinks are delicious and authentic! I have been to multiple Yifang locations in the GTA and this is the best one by far. I don’t get where the bad customer service reviews are coming from though - I’m a regular of this place and the male cashier is always very friendly and helpful.

Bad customer service. The guy cashier has some bad attitude. He acted as if he was forced to be there and treated me like I'm dumb for not knowing their menus and asking question. When I was working my credit card with their machine, he went to the far back of the shop and yelled from there and, when I couldn't understand what he was saying or if he was even talking to me (there were 6 people standing there), he walked back to the cashier and said sarcastically "I thought I was loud enough". At that point I already wanted to leave but my friend's drink was already being made and I did not want to go through all the trouble of asking for a refund etc.or to talk to him even one more word so we stayed and got our drinks. They do have great menus but my grass jelly tea was not the best and their drinks are overpriced. Thought I'd help out small businesses in time like this, but definitely not going back.

Drinks are great but didnt really have the best experience with customer service. Guy with long hair needs a course on customer service. Asked for just regular sugar for the strawberry tea and he said that didn’t exist and I asked him what he recommends and he said he doesn’t know and was a bit condescending in my opinion. I understand everybody’s tastebuds are different but I think cashiers should have the knowledge to make good recommendations for customers.

Longest waiting time ever! I waited for 40 mins and I am not over exaggerating. There was not much people in the store. The taste was okay, but not worth waste your time for.

Love their aiyu jelly and matcha! And they are super personal-cup-friendly

20minutes waiting when there was no other customers ahead and another 15minutes to make 3 bubble tea. If you have nothing to do for the day, this is the place to go. Worst customer service.

The decor is really calming with the use of almond wooden colour for the prep and serving area. The bench and interior were all done with a light brown colour as well. Mandopop was played to set the mood. The servers were all quite friendly. Unfortunately, no more $1 per drink option since it was only for the first 200 customers. I can live with the 20 percent off. I ordered the Yifang fruit tea with aiyu and 30 percent sugar. It was a really refreshing drink for the summer. It is a good place for a cool drink.
