YI RYO pan fried buns 一两生煎

Ordered a surprise bag with them on the TooGoodToGo app. It was scheduled to be picked up today and there is a 20 minutes time range that you are allowed to pick it up. Went all the way to the store to find out that they’re closed. I changed my schedule for the day to get there at that time. Very unprofessional. Should’ve updated time on the app if you won’t be opened. Note: the order is pre-paid. It’s very frustrating

The food is excellent! My boyfriend and I have been there twice, and we like the food very much! I don't think other restaurants in Ottawa can compete with them for now!

Fantastic food, some really legit pan friend buns and noodles. The last time I had buns like these was 10 years ago in Shanghai! Did not disappoint.

Walked in on a Tuesday, was served so fast! Which is great, because I was starving.

Small place but growing. I encourage you to try. Decent pricing, good food, original approach. We did a take out and will go back.

Popped in on a whim-so glad I did. I got the pan fried buns, and the meat and broth inside were seasoned so flavourfully and perfectly. I had a couple sides, too. They have a focused menu-so what they do, they do really well.

I've been craving soup dumplings for months and haven't been able to find ones that had the right amount of soup in them. This spot satisfied my craving.

Relaxed and casual environment. The noodles were quite good and service was fast. Doesn't have a very big menu, but that's perfect if you just want some good noodles.

Small menu means they know what they do and they do it well. Those four pan fried buns are very filling. Crispy yet fluffy bun that's bursting with a flavorful broth and tender meat. The ratio of bun and fillings is on point.

Also, don't be afraid of a little color on the bottom of the buns.

Yummy pan fried buns! We went at lunch time and there wasn’t a long wait. Buns were crispy, juicy and delicious. Definitely try this place out.

The food taste good, the staff is very friendly, overall a damn good experience and place for food.

Nice little shop. The buns were tasty and full of soup! Noodles are filling and are more substantial than it looks in a picture. The chilli oil one came with meat and potatoes and some veggies too, not spicy (which I like). Add the vinegar to cut the oil because the noodles are heavy. The eggs in it are delicious.

Dumplings were amazing and the wonton soup was delightful. Not alot of room to eat in so I recommend picking up if you're not sure of the wait times.

I am glad to finally have found a good Asian restaurant in downtown Ottawa, after trying a bunch of "meh" restaurants offering typical mundane "Asian" food. We ordered the noodle and 6 fried buns. Both were very good. Some reviewers mention too little filling but that was not my experience. The buns had plenty of meat filling, fried to perfect texture and contained yummy juice. (But steaming hot in the beginning!). The noodle was very good as well. We would go back. Price was very reasonable as well.

Great little independent restaurant, just starting up. The pan fried pork buns are delicious. Going back for the homemade wonton soup. Not even expensive.

I ordered take out from this restaurant and was told I had to wait 40 minutes. I asked if they could give me a call when it's ready and they said they could not provide this service, which was fine as they seemed quite busy and it was lunch time on a weekend. I returned after 40 minutes for my order, the dumplings were 100% burnt and overcooked with half of them turned upside down to hide the burnt surfaces. Very disappointed and will not be returning.

The buns were so tasty! We also had the noodles with chili sauce.very delicious. Nice and bright inside.
