Excellent congee and steamed rice noodles. One of very few Chinese restaurants that will accept credit cards. Open until 1 am, so good for like a late night light meal or snack.
Definitely good for rice noodle rolls! Not too pricey and make sure to come early around lunch time, there are usually a line up for it during lunch hours.
Sorry, I did not take the photo I was very disappointed this time as we will Come sometime in the past It seems to me the boss is change, all the waiters are different with strange faces. I wanted to sit at that table, but the waiter said he had to clean it and ask us to sit another one And it is near the door and I feel cold After that, he let other customers sit on The table that I want We order the congee, which is very low ingredients. The 腸粉 is hard to eat With too much soya sauce and with a hair in it. We will not come back again for sure.
Quality of the congee and rice roll are very good. The skin of the rice rolls are thin and they are very crispy, and yet chewy. We had the chive with beef rice roll, we also had chive with duck meat rice roll. Both are very good. The restaurant follows COVID protocols, they checked for proof of vaccination, and they clean the tables after each customer left. Will definitely go back again.
Haven’t had fresh steam rice noodles for a while so we came here for brunch on a Saturday morning. The restaurant is about to get busy, it’s clean and the staffs check our vaccine records and photo ID, all good until the food arrived. The rice noodles are served on styrofoam plates, hot congee is served in a thin plastic container, and of course the cutlery provided is all disposal ones. It feels like eating in a food court. Food was ok, but I won’t go back for sure!
They check your temperature at the door - reassuring extra safety measure for dining in! Portions seem more generous than the downtown location where I usually eat 2 different rice roll dishes for lunch. Here, I was full after one and packed the entire bowl of pork congee for later. Service was efficient, courteous and attentive.
Went my first time this past Thursday, Nov. 11th with a family member. The food was really good. Ordered deep fried fish skin; rice roll with beef, shrimp and chives; fried doughnut and congee with pork slices, liver and kidney. I did not expect the pork in the congee to taste so good. It was fresh. The congee was also very good. Price was good and service was great. *Note: beware of the photos on the menu. They may not be as depicted.
For congee and rice rolls, definitely top quartile. The congee (pork with thousand year old egg) came boiling hot and stayed hot the whole time, dunked with a fried dough roll…excellent comfort food. Tried the 3 different rice rolls (dry shrimp, pork& shrimp) all very tasty. The rice skin was the perfect texture. I will be back.
Came for some late night congee after our flight and arrived near closing time. The lady still let us order even though she was preparing for closing. She was not only polite, but also super friendly:)
Perfect for a late night snack or meal. Traditional Hong Kong style comfort food. They now also accept credit Pay with cash for take out and get 10% off.
The rice roll is their claim to fame and is very good. And alos the congee is not bad. It's very busy during lunch on Saturdays and Sundays but the line up wasn't bad as most customers just have quick bites here.
Very authentic rice noodle rolls. They are much better than ones in dim sum restaurants! They have a lot of servers which is a rarity in Chinese restaurants. The service is friendly and very quick. The inside of the restaurant is very clean too.
Great place for congee and Cheung fun. Prices are very reasonable, and there's enough seating even though it's not smaller unit. It can get pretty busy during peak times, so be aware. Food is definitely good however, and I've returned sever times already.
Today, Nov. 26/18. Yin Ji Cheng Fen opened another location at 4981 Hwy 7, Unionville (MARKHAM). By the corner building which used to be Quiznos Sub. The servers are very friendly and make us welcomed. The restaurant is some very convenient for parking and confortable setting area. The congee place offer varies of congee soup and deep fry chinese donuts. This location also offer three different chinese deserts soup. Like black sesame soup to peanut sweet soup and almonds sweet soup. If you have a sweet tooth like me. I enjoyed the quality chinese cheng fen very smooth and just right. The service are great. Thanks
Great authentic Guangzhou cuisine. Its serving sizes are small compared to other Chinese restaurants because of their tradition. Service is very fast and polite, they really make you feel welcomed and thank you a lot. Prices are reasonable, though could be a bit cheaper.
Still a great place to eat or take out despite the quality of the rolls being worse than when they just opened. It is less packed than before but the seats by the door are freezing in the winter. I highly recommend the rolls and congee with fried dough sticks.
Best rice noodle in Toronto. Crazy line up though. I don't recommend bringing kids here. Not much line up after 3pm so maybe come for an afternoon snack?
This place apparently has one if the best rice rolls! I agree its great but I can’t say if its the best I ever tasted! This place offer quite a bit of variety! The food is excellent but the service is OK! They actually remind you that there’s a minimum you need to tip. This place also closes quite late so its nice!
This is definitely one of the best rice noodle rolls that I have ever had - way beyond the dim sum staples. The dough stick, anything with beef, and the shrimp and chive versions were out-of-the-park types of delicious. Definitely coming back and ordering more - come early!
Yin Jin Chang Fen appears to be new at the former place. Good selection of cold hot beverages, any congee, any donuts, any rice rolls, and other sides are provided at good prices. Good congee, donuts, and rice rolls are highly recommended. For first time, we like types of congees and rice rolls. The restaurant does not include barbecued meat, desserts, vegetables, other items at all. (2018 August).
It was really good for lunch but unfortunately everything is made with peanut oil. Me and my family had to visit two restraunts since one was allergic to peanuts.
I’ve never had this type of food in my whole life. About a month ago, I visited this restaurant with my husband and it was just amazing! I can’t get it out of my mind! I want to eat chang fen everyday, seriously. The only thing is, there’s a huge lineup every time. I guess it’s all because their food is amazing. Love chang fen ️
Quality has been lowered when comparing with that of the beginning. Not that outstanding. Wonder if it's due to cost inflation of everything in general.
