Yo Amo Tacos Bar 'n Grill

Came here on Friday for a Halloween Event. The girl that was working the front door entry was absolutely awful! She was screaming and being rude asking us if we had bottle service as if that was required to enter their establishment. Not quite how you should be treating patrons at your door who are arriving to spend money at your place of business. It honestly was so off-putting to us that it set the tone for the entire evening.

Employees keeps on forgetting the order. Had to send back items 3 times for correction.

Ordered veg.chimichanga and veg cheese queasidilla. It was average. The place is good for a Halloween themed party.

When I went there I noticed it is only one person operation with an assistant. I did order fajita, absolute waste of money! I think was pre cooked and just served in hot plate, very dry and tasteless. The menu very pricey. You need to remember, 15% tip is included, still the cash mashing asking for tips! We ordered coffee, we were told the coffee mashing was off. No COFFEE! Ordered dessert, but no cutlery and napkins, one of us went upstairs to get!

Our first time here. Our server Laura recommended empinadas and flaotas. Incredible. We had dinner here for Father's Day on the patio. What a beautiful place so homie. Our servers were excellent. Our second server was adam. They both treated us so nicely made a great father's day. I really do love this place. Especially now that I live 2 kms away.

Went here for an early father’s day dinner.terrible service.they were hosting a private party and were too busy with that than their customers.ordered items were missing & the service was not there at all.half items on the menu were not available they should have just closed for the night tbh

Everything was great, the food was was great, the customer Service was phenomenal. My friends and I had an amazing time and met new people. We're most definitely going back there. Thank you for your amazing support and customer Service experience. I can't wait to go back there and try more variety of foods and yummy tacos.

The tortillas are great - although they arent made in-house they are picked up fresh every day. We went for our date night. It was early but it seemed like a band was coming in. We went on a Saturday. We are definitely going again. The El Pastor was great and soo many other things. Our server - she was amazing too. Great experience/ great establishment. Thr calamari was soggy. We do want to go back again and give it another shot.

Nestled amidst the chaotic city, this Mexican restaurant is a true hidden gem that takes you on a flavorful journey. From the very first bite, the food impresses with its delicious flavors and delightful cheesy notes. The menu offers a variety of mouthwatering options that cater to every palate.we ordered the nachos, and they were a perfect introduction to the meal. The chips were impeccably crispy and had a freshness that elevated the entire dish. The generous sprinkling of cheese throughout the nachos added a delightful richness that I couldn't get enough of.

For the main course, I opted for the chimichanga, and it was nothing short of amazing. The dish was a harmonious combination of vegetables, and spices, all expertly wrapped in a golden-brown tortilla. Each bite was a burst of flavors that left me craving for more. My friends' choices, the fajitas and enchiladas, were equally impressive. The fajitas sizzled with succulent meat and colorful vegetables, while the enchiladas were a cheesy delight. It was a feast that satisfied everyone's cravings.

While the food was exceptional, the service left a little to be desired. Although friendly, it took longer than expected for our dishes to arrive after we placed our orders. Nevertheless, the wait was worth it once we savored the delectable flavors.

However, it's worth mentioning that the prices are a bit high compared to similar restaurants. While the quality of the food justifies the cost to some extent, it might deter those seeking a more affordable dining experience.

Additionally, I found the practice of including the tip in the bill for a party of three a bit off-putting. The freedom to determine the tip based on the quality of service received is an important aspect of the dining experience.

Order 3 different types of tacos from pork to beef and chicken.they all looked and tasted the same. The service was horrible it took 1/2 a hour just to get a beer to the table. Make sure to check your bill cause the waitress added extra food and drinks to the bill and then said it was the machine fault? Not hers. Do waste your time or money going here. I'm not sure how this place can stay in business. I would give it no stars if possible! Plus if you go in a group the waitress says she can't give you separate bills? For some reason which make no sense. Would never go back to this place ever! Taco bell has better tasting food at least you can tell what food your eating chicken or beef. Just a horrible experience two thumbs down

This use to be an amazing place. Prices went up, food became half of the portions. Service taking double the amount of time and automatically giving themselves an 18% tip?

Booked a reservation for 15 people for may 13. I wanted To bring my family and friends. 2 of them were 18 which was my brother and sister and I called that morning to confirm if it’s okay to bring them, and the lady on the phone (Jessica for something with a J” said she was gonna check with the manager and confirm. She put me on hold for a minute and she came back to the phone and said the manager said it’s okay. I came at 10: 30 with my family and friends and the bouncer which was on his phone the whole time said we weren’t allowed. I asked for the manager, and he said they had no call regarding my siblings being 18. Lol the host came and she also acted surprised and said I never called. In conclusion no one took accountability and this place is a disaster. The owner doesn’t know his job along with this whole place. I would not recommend anyone to come here. I should’ve saw the 1 star reviews first before coming. A lot of other people tend to agree.

Always an amazing experience, fantastic food & even better service when we visit. The Mahi Mahi tacos are out of this world! The reason we keep coming back is because of Laura - she treats us like family and never forgets even the tiniest details. She is an asset to this business! We'll be back soon & this time I won't forget to bring my mom!

Yo Amos is an incredible place in every regard. The food is delicious, the atmosphere is incredible and the staff is exceptional! Every time I’ve visited I’ve been lucky enough to get Laura as a waitress and I couldn’t ask for better service. She is perpetually joyful, is attentive and funny, has an amazing memory (she remembers anything I ate or drank previously) and is honestly a stand alone when it comes to excellency in the service industry. As always, I’ll be back again soon! Thank you Laura for making every visit special and memorable.

100% don’t recommend. Service was terrible, and food was terrible. Small portions for big prices with out the satisfaction. DON’T FORGET TO READ THE 18% TIP ON THE MENU! Will never be going to this restaurant again.

Had dinner with Work colleagues Saturday evening. Food and drinks were fantastic. Staff was amazing and music was great!

HORRENDOUS EXPERIENCE!

If I could give this place a zero I would! From the beginning to the end, it was a disaster! We waited 30 minutes for drinks when the restaurant was dead - I ordered a 4 ounce margarita that came with absolutely no tequila and even when I sent it back, it came back exactly the same. While waiting for food, which took over an hour to arrive, about 10 different servers came with food we didn’t order and at the end one person at my party didn’t receive her food at all. The manager came to check but ended up being extremely rude and unprofessional, and just walked away from the table. The other owner just made excuses about it being busy and showed no care or consideration that we weren’t able to enjoy our meal together because of all the confusion. Another 45 minutes for our bill, which includes an 18% gratuity which they did not deserve at all. My party and I did not get to enjoy our meal and sat there for 3 1/2 hours! And on top of it all for a Mexican restaurant, the food is so bad and flavourless! It also becomes a club afterwards with a much younger crowd and cars parked everywhere. If you want an enjoyable evening with good food and atmosphere and good service, STAY AWAY FROM HERE! I’m still sooooooo mad. YO AMO TACOS, you ruined our Cinco de Mayo!

Local neighborhood gem. We live close by and visited for thr first time. The food is amazing, large portions and delish, service was great. Can't wait to go back

Beautiful place. Food is alright. Service was TERRIBLE. We reserved for 12 people and the waitressing vs.customer ratio was way too understaffed & not trained well. It took an hour to get utensils for our meal. Or anything really. I waited another hour for a refill on my drink, no one ever came to check up on us and then 18% tip was included with the price? I would have liked an option on tipping because the service was horrific. I hope you guys can learn from this review.

On May 13, I reserved a spot for a gathering of 15 people, comprising of my family and friends. However, I had two underaged siblings who were 18 years old. Wanting to make sure that there would be no issues, I called the morning of the event and spoke to a lady named Jessica, whose name might have started with J. She promised to check with the manager and confirm if my siblings could attend. After about a minute of being on hold, Jessica returned with the news that everything was okay.

Come 10: 30 am, we arrived at the venue, and the bouncer, who seemed more interested in his phone, prevented us from entering. I demanded to speak to the manager, and he informed me that they had no information regarding my siblings being 18. The host eventually appeared, but she acted surprised and disputed my claims of having called earlier. No one took responsibility for their lack of coordination; the whole experience was a complete disaster. The venue owner and staff have done a poor job, and I would not recommend this place to anyone. With so many negative one-star reviews, I should have been more cautious. Other people seem to be in agreement about the poor service provided by this venue.

The venue, staff, food, drinks are fantastic. However, all this goes to drain when one learns that they forced consumer to pay 18% tip without verbally advising or making it clear on the receipt, because they do not give one time to look at it properly. They are standing, looking over on the customer waiting for the card to be swiped. It is tactic so one does not examine receipt properly. And it works because I personally gave another 18% tip on top of the forced 18% they automatically charge.

Never visiting this place again. Stay away

Dined in during Valentine’s weekend and the service was horrible and this made everything else not enjoyable. It wasn’t busy at all but they still managed to be disorganized. We had three different waitresses ask us if our order was taken and still our food took long to arrive, I guess they didn’t know whose order it belonged too. So sad because this place does have some good reviews by others and its been very good in the past.
