Today I visited a medical center for the first time in Canada. My child was very sick, so I emailed to inquire about a reservation, and I was touched by the quick response. Even though my language skills were very limited, they responded kindly in every way to the point where I could forget about the language inconvenience, and the doctor kindly explained things in simple language so that I could understand them well. Thank you so much to them.

Always a good experience. Staff very cordial and efficient. The doctor that saw my son was very patient, knowledgeable and helpful.

I highly recommend this clinic. I only had to wait around 5 minutes. Dr. Seo was great and fully addressed my issue.

The best clinic I've been to. Every single doctor that saw me was pleasant, courteous and knowledgeable. The receptionists are always friendly and efficient. It's a well run clinic.

Went here for the first time today because my doctor couldn’t see me. Their website says to book an appointment but I tried to call but didn’t get an answer so I emailed and received a response within an hour telling me I could just come in. What a pleasant experience! I went around lunch time and waited maybe less then 15minutes. The desk staff and doctor were warm and courteous (which I imagine can be hard to maintain at a walk-in). The clinic is also clean. Definitely recommend!

The building is run-down and you have to brave a pretty big set of stairs to get to the office which is on the 2nd floor. Not wheelchair accessible and definitely not senior-friendly-there is no elevator in case you can't do stairs so that's already no good. This practice was ok in 2019 when I saw Dr. Rajiv but it has significantly gone downhill in the last few years. Recently, I visited 3 times in less than 2 weeks for the same issue because the original Dr. I saw (Dr. Dishani), although friendly, under prescribed my medication so I ended up burning through the entire 10 day supply without any improvement. Came back to see Dr. Hu and he understood my concerns and adjusted my dose to the correct one, strong enough to actually fight the problem. Finally saw an improvement on the 14th day but I wasn't out of the woods yet and since I ran out of the Rx (14-day maximum) I came back on a Sunday 2 hours before closing so that I could have the issue re-examined and possibly start a new course of medication in case it was still necessary, without running the risk of developing resistance- a visit that would have taken 10 minutes at most. I also wanted to come on Sunday so that my husband didn't have to miss work to look after our daughter as he had to the previous 2 times.

The waiting room was completely empty and there didn't appear to be any activity in the examination areas yet the receptionist claimed they were fully booked and turned me away. Instead of admitting they apparently had no Dr.on site at the time, (why stay open then) they just lied through their teeth. Their website claims they have the means to help you avoid going to the emerg-I don't see how that can be since I am likely to end up there if the issue gets worse since they did nothing for me the last visit.

I am seriously disappointed overall-will not be coming back here unless it's the last place in the GTA (highly unlikely) and I can see Dr. Hu again and I can make it on a weekday morning. The 2 stars are for Dr. Hu because he is very knowledgeable, the weekday reception because they are accommodating and because the pharmacy is conveniently onsite and the pharmacists are friendly and knowledgeable as well. It's a shame they can't be consistently good across all services and on all days because they actually have potential to be efficient and effective with better management and consistent level of care.

Very efficient and kind staff. I really appreciate that they were able to squeeze me in at the end of the day, and right from intake to seeing Dr. Dong-Guo, to picking up prescription (which is in the same unit so it's extremely convenient) everyone was super helpful. Thank-you for the care!

I was looking for a local walk-in clinic last minute and would highly recommend this one. I called their office around 11am to ask how the wait times were, and the receptionist was kind enough to offer me a pre-booked appointment for 2: 30pm. When I got there, I filled out the patient form and was seen by a doctor within several minutes. The doctor was quick and efficient with his assessment. I was given a prescription right away. It was convenient that the pharmacy was in the same room, just across the receptionist. I waited for another 10 minutes or so to pick up my prescription. Overall great experience!

Been there 3 times. Seen both my kids there. Receptionists are very efficient, transparent, and down to earth. Dr. Hu was patient and thorough. Will definitely visit again if we need to walk in.

This is truly one of the top medical centers in Ontario. We moved to Canada 5 years back and explored this facility as walk in. We were very lucky to get Dr. Balasuriya as our family doctor. He is a brilliant doctor! The whole facility works amazing as one unit including the pharmacy. We have moved further west, outside Toronto and are now quite far, but even then we don't mind driving all the way to Yonge and Sheppard. Keep up the good work! Your reviews speak for themselves as I have rarely seen a medical facility with such great reviews!

The service is so good! The two guys at the front desk are friendly and flexible in mind, they even kindly remind us about the requirements of PCR time based on the flight policy. And the whole process is so fast, within 15 minutes including check in.

Haven't gone recently but have been a couple times over a few years, only good experiences:) One of the doctors suspected appendicitis and they were right, which I am very grateful for! Doctors are non-dismissive and try their best to help you.

Great experience! Everyone is so friendly, and efficient. I waited for 10mins and got in, got my prescription, and another 5mins, done! Clean, fast, love it!

This place is amazing. It’s like a boutique walk-in. Reception is always accommodating and friendly.

I switched my Dr to Dr B and he is always great. He answers all questions and takes his time which is abnormal for most doctors these days. When lab or blood results come in, they call me right away and tell me if it’s urgent or not and an appointment to discuss is made within days.

What’s even better is if you are prescribed medication, the fax is sent straight away to the pharmacist in the same walk in and ready within minutes. Saumil is the owner/pharmacist and again it’s like boutique service. Always fast and quick.

I can’t say enough good things about this clinic. It’s a well oiled, running machine. Always a smooth process. Not like other doctors office where you avoid to go unless absolutely necessary - rude doctors, staff and crazy waiting times.

Great clinic, doctor was nice. Line up upon arrival before opening, and secretary was fast, efficient and friendly.

Dr. Rajiv is really kind doctor who listens to your health concerns carefully and takes the necessary steps, awesome work!

The clinic is wonderful. Doctors and the medical stuff care about people. Dr Ted Dong-Guo is very patient, knowledgeable, compassionate and empathetic to you. You may sit long in a line though, but it’s worth it.

Front desk staff is very helpful and responsive. Dr. Balasuryia is excellent and very helpful and listens to concerns and gives great medical advice. The staff at the pharmacy are quite helpful. The only problem might be the waiting area where sometimes sick people show up coughing and the staff are too nice to tell them to leave, but they are promptly given a room (only happened twice last year during my visits.) Make sure you pay for the parking or you'll get a ticket even if you go over by a few minutes but the clinic has nothing to do with it. It's a private parking lot and very convenient for those who drive. All in all, an excellent clinic much better than some other walk-ins I've been to.

The only walk-in clinic I will ever go to. I never have to wait more than 10 mins which is extremely rare for a walk-in.

Horrible clinic! It is not walk-in one. When I came at 3: 00 pm (they close at 4: 30 pm), I was told that they reached the maximum of the patients and did not accept people. Seriously? ! How am I supposed to learn that if the clinic calls itself as a walk-in-clinic? ! They deceive people and waste their time. Do not trust, do not come.

Not ready to give an appointment, neither telling precisely when can we walkin.says "upto you".

The receptionist doesn’t Really know what she is doing! Really bad attitude poor scheduling kept patients waiting for hours and hours!

I went there since I had an ear problem. The doctor did not do a detailed check of me and instead prescribed antibiotics and an ear wax drop, which caused more damage to my ear and wasted my money and time when he could have just referred me to an ENT specialist.

A busy clinic, but the doctor is professional with a big heart. I witness a mom with 2 young ones, one with health card expired during covid. The receptionist was hesitated at the very beginning. The busy doctor walked by and take them in. The same location pharmacy is a convivence for patient. Would be better if they open for longer hours.

Very smart doctors over there, nice teamwork and excellent communication between patients. It is No. 1 clinic there. Love it.

Don't let the appearance deceive you - the real estate may be lacking, but the knowledge and skill are not. I was a walk-in in the late morning, right before lunch, and I signed in, saw a doctor, received my diagnosis, and got my prescription from the in-house pharmacy in less than an hour. The doctor was moving quickly, but when he realized I had further questions he slowed down and took the time to address my concerns thoroughly. His diagnosis was accurate, and I am feeling much better! The receptionists seemed overwhelmed, understandable given current circumstances and the nature of their work, but they were still polite, helpful, and thorough. Grateful for the assistance. Hopefully I will not need to come back, but if I do I know I will be taken care of here. Thank you to the entire team!

Kind and professional receptionist, both on the phone and in-person. Patient for working on a Sunday! The clinic was clean and has set up the hallway and waiting area appropriately for COVID protocols. The doctor was quick but answered all my questions with attention. I'd come here again for walk-in clinic needs.

This clinic is exceptional! It was my first visit there. The secretary kindly and quickly get me into walk in clinic schedule. The doctor called me in for my scheduled appointment before I even finished writing my name on the patient information sheet! The doctor was knowledgeable, kind, attentive and reassuring. Fabulous, kind and efficient team.

If you walk-in do expect to wait more than 3 hours. Forget what the receptionist tell you what your wait time is she isn't telling you the truth. Only to make you feel like you will see the doctor soon.
Even if you book your appointment do not expect that you will not wait too long. You also may wait more than 3 hours.
This clearly shows they need more doctors in this clinic or there is a huge demand for a new clinic nearby.

I recently moved in this area and my landlord recommended this clinic. I have been trying to call them for a family doctor appointment with Dr. Dishani and they always say we don't accept new patients. No other explanation!

Today I was unwell and I called for a phone consultation (as this is what they have on on thier website) and the receptionist told me we stopped offering phone consultation. And said we don't have any appointments left for today as we close at 1 and will reopen on Tuesday.

I am really disappointed that if you dont do phone consultation, why talk about it on the website that we care about covid and we offer phone consultation. Moreover, why is it such that "we dont accept new patients". I have been trying since past one month just because I had high recommendation of this clinic and Dr. Dishani

This is really disappointing when you have a clinic so close and they wouldn't help when in need (walk ins) nor take new patients. NOT FAIR!

Kind receptionist, informative doctors, helpful pharmacist. Overall great staff who really just want to help you as best as they can.

Went there on Friday Sep. 3/21 afternoon time.
No social distancing and there were an racist, old man sitting on chair, who never wear mask properly for 2 hours. It was under the chin, only wearing it when female doctor shows (The only person care about it) and
a female Pharmacist and receptionist were ignore him because they don't want trouble.
THIS IS WHY COVID VIRUS NEVER DISSAPPEAR! ISN'T IT?
Finally, I had to argue with red man and receptionist were just trying to stop me calling police.
She really didn't want to do anything and take it easy but
It is her job to insure all the people in clinic wears mask!

Same receptionist told me there's no charge for follow up treatment but doctor wants to charge some. He came to desk while I was talking to receptionist and he yelled, said "go go" go now! Then he shut the door behind me because he was rushing finish and go home. What a beautiful attitude of doctor! And staff!
If you don't mind touch by people, sitting with no mask person for hours, go there.

The most knowledgeable and caring doctors in town. They are always willing to help you get the best diagnosis and promptly treatment. The pharmacysts and the receptionist are super nice and efficient making them a perfect match with the medical team. It has been my health spot for nearly 4 years and I wouldn't change it for anything. I did not shift even though I moved far away from North York 2 years ago. Just be patient as it is a busy place.

Walk in clinic for when I'm unable to go visit my family doctor. It can seem a bit crowded at times but the doctor is efficient.

Overall, pretty good experience! Two-hour wait, but that's to be expected at a walk-in clinic. Really attentive, patient, and effective doctor. Also very convenient that there's a pharmacy right there! However, a little concerned that the receptionist had her mask down below her mouth.

Both the clinic and pharmacy provide excellent care. This is the way all walk-in clinics should be.

Important work of a fam doctor I was able to find and register with when needed.

They have on call docs 7 days a week, if needed for a phonecall. Wed night has extended hours.

I have been a satisfied patient of Dr. Dishani for over three years and commend her and her staff for exemplary care. She listens and follows up in a timely manner. Bravo.

Dr. Balasuriya and Dr Dishani are both very good doctors. Would listen to your concerns and never rush unlike other doctors. Dr Balasuriya follows up on me about my health and would really make sure he explains and answers my questions. Im so lucky to find them!

I found this gem when they opened a few years ago right across from my office. At the time as a new immigrant it was like running in to an Oasis: finding a doctor with cultural sensitivity and open to taking family practice for you. The wait time to find a family doctor in Toronto is unbelievable.
There were other factors, being able to run to walk in on lunch break, get prescription filled and be back at my desk.
Slowly as I continued to see Dr. G and B, the front desk staff Rashida and Natasha, I knew was in the best hands in medical field. Dr. G is not only knowledgeable, her empathy is beyond something I can describe for words. Dr. B has referred me over to medical tests for chronic back pains with so much ease, other practitioners have been amazed as my understanding is: people get habitually denied for tests that the doctors do not see as necessary.
If this does not convince you, here's something else that's fabulous: Dr. G is your go to for beauty and skin care. See her for your Botox and PRP facials! I love these guys, thank you for making this world a better place with your kindness and empathy.

Dr. Dishani Gunawardena, is in my opinion, hands down one of the best, if not the best, family doctors in Toronto. I feel so blessed that my family and I are in her care. Not only is she polite and with excellent bedside manners, but she actually cares. She is very sharp and can pinpoint the issue when she sees it. She is extremely attentive, and never dismisses nor belittles any concerns her patients have. She will book whatever tests she feels are necessary very promptly and with no delay. She takes the time to listen, provide excellent care, and smile. It is one thing to be a skilled doctor with a sharp mind, and a totally different thing to have the manners and service that go with it. Dr. Gunawardena manages to have both these virtues and is on top of it a wonderful and warm professional. I highly recommend her as a family doctor.

If you go here, make sure that the reception have your name on the list to see the doctor, ask half hour after you signed in, as I waited 1.5 hours before I asked and she forgot to add my name to the list. After she added my name, i waited another 15 min in the exam room. The doctor was nice and effrcient but the reception was incompetent, speak to each other so loud. It is like in an open market.

I am 12 weeks pregnant, hit by table yesterday, and worried about my baby whole day. Yonge Elmwood Medical Clinic is clean and fast-service! I waited only 15 mins and the doctor was really nice and patient. He helped me check the heartbeat by using a machine. I called the other 2 clinic before I came here, one is full-book, one has no machine that can check heartbeat. When I heard the heartbeat, I felt it is the most beautiful sound in the world haha, it helps me a lot, I give 5 stars here!

Friendly staff and knowledgeable doctor. Dr. Gunawapdena heard my issues and provided her opinion in detail and prescribed the medicine accordingly. It was nice to see doctor is given details about your health issues.

Just happen to drop by this walk in by chance. Dr fixed 15 year old high blood pressure problem my family doctor couldn't fix over 2 years in 2 hours by prescribing medication that worked for me. Thank you

I never thought I would say this about a medical establishment, but this place is the bomb. (By which I mean, it's very good.) Wait times were extremely short, despite it being quite busy, and yet I felt like I got good attention and care from all facets of the experience - reception, the doctor, and the on-site pharmacist. I feel like I was asked all pertinent questions and given a good examination, and yet the total time between arrival and leaving with the required medication in-hand (having opted to get the prescription filled on-site) was less than twenty minutes. This was on a day when the waiting room was nearly full.

The walk in is very efficient, the doctor I saw was very personable and helpful. And love that the pharmacy is great as well at explaining new medications. Definitely recommend!

Very helpful staff and doctors. My needs were dealt with in less than 10 minutes, and the doctor even phoned to follow up with alternative solutions since my needed medication was scarce in the area.

I think everyone agrees a walk in clinic needs no appointment, and your policy as per your secretary is no appointments needed for the evening shift. And wait time is not the issue as I said before. I just came and waited like all other patients and did not take the time of anyone else. Don't try to move around the main point. And again two of your doctors gave me two completely different diagnoses. And being that defensive in your responses to your patients' reviews proves and reveals (and sorry to say that) how non-professional the clinic is. You only expect 5 star reviews even when the service is not good. You have to listen to and understand the feedback if you plan to improve. Really shocked!

This is honestly the best walk in clinic in the city. Very little wait times, both doctors are pleasant and very thorough. My five year old daughter even likes the doctor's here. I would highly recommend this clinic.

I have been here twice, the reception is nice (not like the typical zombie receptionist at other walk-in), registration is efficient. They have a tv in the waiting room so it helps to make the waiting a bit easier when you are sick. The 2 doctors i met are very nice and friendly. They have a pharmacy inside the clinic, the doc can send the prescription directly to them. I haven't used them but its very convenient and reduce wait time. The location is on the subway line, so very convenient for me. Both visits I came on Saturday at 10am when they first opened, and there are already 5 to 6 patients waiting already, they are busy so if you want to avoid long line, come early. Good luck!

A follow-up review on the pharmacy - I finally used it (so unfortunately I was sick again!). The pharmacist was nice and despite she told me there were 3 people in front of me, my wait time was still less than Shoppers. It really helped to pick up the meds at the clinic so I don't have to make another stop while I was sick.

I went to this medical clinic several times and Dr. Dishani is the best doctor I've ever seen. She is so caring, experienced and professional. I was visited by other doctors in this clinic as well and was happy with the services. The lady at the receiption is also very welcoming, caring and knows everything. I can trust them a lot and would recommend them. There is also a pharmacy there, very helpful, fast and givng the best services.

I’ve seen two different doctors at this location and they were both great! The wait time was less than 15-minutes on both occasions without an appointment – amazing! There is also a pharmacy onsite with fast friendly service. My only concern would be the receptionists, they weren’t particularly friendly but standoffish and not very discreet if your handing over test samples. With such a small waiting area it would be nice if you could leave your samples somewhere else.

Waiting time is less than 5 minutes. Dr. Balasuriya is very patient and care about what I told him. A very nice walk-in clinic to go in North York.

Great little walk-in clinic with quick turnover and efficient service and diagnosis. The attending doctor was polite, friendly and responsive to my questions. Wait times are minimal to none compared to other clinics I have been to. The connected pharmacy is also very well serviced and polite. You definitely get a sense that the clinic is well organized and run when the pharmacist already receives your prescription before you step out of the office door. Keep up the great work!

Great clinic if you have a very simple problem or if you go in requesting a specific medication. However, if you have something slightly more complicated, forget it! They are very fast but it comes at the expense of the client. They often prescribe questionable medication that does not have much evidence behind it (do your research before purchasing). And if you have more than one symptom.get ready to make an additional OHIP swipe!

I was very well received by the clinic staff. Doctor was very friendly and helpful. I am a new immigrant to Canada and this was my first time visiting a doctor and I was very satisfied. I think this is one of the best medical clinics in the area.

The waiting time.is very short, and the doctors are very friendly. The only reason why I give 4 stars is they didn't solve my problem 100%. It would.be better if they can do those tests atvthe clinic.

Fantastic walk-in clinic! Doctors and staff are friendly, the wait time is short especially if you go first thing in the morning and they open right on time. The pharmacist, Shaumil, is also very professional and empathetic, it's wonderful to have a pharmacy right inside the clinic because if there is any issues with the prescription (e.g. If insurance doesn't cover it) he'd ask the doctor when they're free to see if it's possible to make some adjustments for the patients. Overall highly recommend!

This clinic operates on one of the most sincere and efficient methods I've experienced for a walk-in. The doctors are approachable, genuine, quick (without making you feel rushed) and even accommodates my annoying "I read this online. " pipings. I've seen Dr. Dishani a few times and she's very patient to listen to concerns and gives diagnoses confidently and quickly. The pharmacists are so accommodating as well; when my prescription wasn't available a few times, they delivered it to my place themselves within a day or two. Even though I live a little further up now, I make the extra trek to come here over other clinics - it's rare for a walk-in clinic to have such a welcoming atmosphere that doesn't treat you like an anonymous number through a revolving door.
