Marbles loves his hospital family. Doctor Chui was wonderful, and the vet techs are amazing. Highly recommend them for pet parents in the area.

Excellent care, from staff at the front desk (Jordan comes to mind) to expert and compassionate care from Dr. Beauchamp.

Horrible experience at this vet clinic. Deleted my previous, honest, and transparent review, but people deserve to know the truth.
My family and I have been loyal patients for years, however they really let us down with their unprofessionalism.
Don’t take your pet here, they are money grabbing psychopaths who don’t care for you nor your pet.
Every time I took my dog here for a simple nail trim, the psycho vet techs would take her and make her feel extremely anxious causing her to YELL and SCREAM. Do you realize how badly you must be doing your job for a dog to scream?
My new vet clinic btw - my dog is CALM and just sits in their laps when they trim her nails. So what was wrong with your vet techs that they couldn’t simply do that?
The vet adamantly advised that the remaining course of action for my senior dog was to cut her open for an unnecessary surgery to physically check her liver for 6000$. Disgusting and unethical.
I am now at a new vet clinic where I’ve been told that that is absolutely not necessary and was incredibly ill advised. Do your jobs better or find something else to do.
They also failed to pick up the phone repeatedly, day after day, not returning phone calls. And have the nerve to keep emailing?

My first time at this clinic! Great experience! I was there for a full checkup of my 14 week old kitten. The vet did a very thorough checkup. She explained everything patiently. The vet, the nurse and technician were professional and very kind to my kitten. Everyone is very respectful and caring. I will definitely stay with this place.

A wonderful experience! I'm a first-time cat owner and I had a lot of questions. With COVID restrictions, I couldn't meet the vet in-person, but I got a call before they saw my cat asking what I needed, I got a call after the exam where I could ask a billion questions, then another call when my cat was ready to be picked up. Staff was friendly and caring and my cat was very comfortable around them (even demanding cuddles!) To top it all off, I got an email with answers to a lot of my questions on it! Absolutely great experience, I can't thank them enough.

Post-Covid update: finally met the staff a couple of times now, and they're great as ever. My cat got enough time and I continued to ask a million questions and they were super patient with me. My little guy is doing great, and likes the staff too.

Got us in for an emergency when our normal clinic could not, and provided great care for our pup!

We brought in our dog (Kiwi) with kennel cough (we were not 100% sure what it was at the time), and Emily was great with Kiwi and explained everything to look for going forward and how to best take care of our dog!

A mixed bag of experience at Yonge Sheppard Animal Hospital. Giving a rating of three stars was a challenging decision for me as my experience with their service has been mixed. While the quality of animal care provided is good, the communication aspect of their service can stand significant improvement. In numerous occasions, I have found their responsiveness to be lacking. Lengthy waits of email responses and return phone calls are far too common, creating a frustrating experience for customers who are already anxious about their pet’s health. While I understand that the clinic maybe bustling with activities, a prompt communication line should be maintained for anxious pet owners who are in need of guidance or information. Furthermore, I found the atmosphere of the clinic to be impersonal and business-like, as opposed to the warm, community-focused vibe that many pet owners, myself included, find comforting. In times of worry for our beloved pets, a personal touch and a sense of belonging matter immensely.

They have taken care of my 2 cats for about 3 years. They have an amazing team with highly skilled vets and friendly staff. Every time I had to go there, they explained all the treatment options, and did not offer unnecessary or expensive procedures. They are compassionate and always try to accommodate our last minute calls for a visit. I highly recommend this place.

I brought my two cats to this vet for vaccination and neutering/spaying. This vet provides you great quality service with lots of cares. They are pretty much organized in terms of scheduling, processes and communication. I understand the prices are a bit high compared to other places. But good quality service doesn’t come cheap specially in GTA and specially in pet services as there is shortage of everything in Toronto.

My dog Rocko loves to visit this vet hospital. It's the only vet he's ever been excited to come see. Highly recommended.

This was our first visit with our dog Stella and we were so impressed with the care given by all the staff. Tech Lisa and Dr. Emily were so patient and kind with our shy dog. Lots of space and time for her to acclimate, and lots of treats and praise. Transparent cost structures, nice, clean space, and a super cute report card for Stella at the end of the visit. Thank you!

I believe their staffs have good intentions when it comes to helping your pet. But sometimes that’s not enough.
If you have a pet that has an on-going health issue, it’s my personal opinion that this hospital is not the best option. In short, they are too busy, and some of the staff can be inexperienced with certain issues. Some details below if interested.

-They are always overbooked.
Their margins can’t be so low that they have to be this booked up all the time. My male cat had a serious emergency and I had to take him to an emergency clinic during regular hours. The earliest appointment they offered me was 3-4 days ahead, for an issue that could kill a male cat in a matter of hours. Even then, they failed to make it clear that it would be a drop-off appointment. Meaning you would have to drop off your pet, go home, and wait for a call. I would have never done this to my cat if I were informed properly.

-Lack of experience
They couldn’t take blood from my cat after poking him with the needle many times. Said my cat was being aggressive (first time I heard that in his12 years). They had put a cone on him full of hair from other animals. Any cat would be stressed. I think they’re not confident enough to take the blood in your presence, where your pet would be much calmer. I could be wrong regarding the reason they take your pet in the back to take blood. But my cat’s new doctor/technician took his blood in my presence with the first try, no sedatives, no cones etc.

After Yonge/sheppard animal hospital managed to take blood with sedatives (on a separate visit), they suggested to increase his medicine dose and do another blood work soon (with sedatives). The new clinic suggested to reduce the medicine dose and do less blood work, to reduce the stress on him. Which made more sense and he seems happier/healthier.

-There were also other smaller issues, like the clinic not ordering the specific dose of the medication that my cat needed daily. For years we had to break his pills into halves because that’s the only dose they had on their shelf. I asked them for the right dose but I was told it was not possible. But his new vet ordered the right dose after the first request. Yonge/Sheppard animal hospital saw my cat every year for more than 3 years but still didn’t know his gender (kept on calling him a “she”, even though I corrected them multiple times. Makes me wonder how thorough they were with examining his file and past issues before suggesting any treatment.

I wouldn’t recommend this clinic to people with pets that have/could have on going health issues for the reasons mentioned above.

The doctors and staff are amazing. Dr. Beauchamp is knowledgeable, kind and empathetic. She always takes whatever time is necessary to assess my cat, answer my questions and thoroughly explain all results and treatment options. I'm very happy with Yonge Sheppard Animal Hospital and would not hesitate to recommend it to anyone. Most of all they make it clear that they understand how much my pet means to me.

Excellent treatment of our sometimes difficult cat. Our Vet noticed something off recently and ensured we were offered an extra test to rule problems out and updated very quickly when completed. The reassurance and commitment to the care of Jax is superb!

Highly recommend this clinic if you are in the area. We have been much happier with her care here than where we were when Jax came to us.

I don’t recommend this clinic because I have found another vet who’s more accommodating and really cares about my puppy. When my puppy was 16 weeks he has to get his last DAP and rabies shots. After doing a lot of research I’m convinced that I want to separate the two shots by a week, simply because I don’t want to put too much immunization on a 10 lb puppy in the same day. This clinic said even if I bring the dog back in a week I’ll have to pay another $75 examination fee. I called other vets in the area and another clinic heard my concern and said “Oh I would not do that to you, if you bring him back in a week just for the vaccine we won’t charge you another examination fee” Now you can tell who cares about you and your pet.

Everyone here is amazing! Such a caring team. Would not trust my dog with any other vet clinic
