Dr. Cecchini was the fifth dermatologist that I was consulted to address my problems over the years, but he is the only one who was able to help me. Great knowledgeable specialist that I would be highly recommending.

Excellent doctor and staff. I came in to see Dr. Michael Checcini in April 2023 in despair as I was losing a lot hair and was afraid that I might have alopecia. He prescribed the right medicines and several months later I’m in great shape. The hair loss has stopped and am really happy with the course of treatment and his very pleasant and friendly demeanour.

It will be 2 years in February 2024 that I had Michael remove 4 cysts from my back, they were not infected and this was for cosmetic reasons, he asked if I wanted to pay in cash, that should have been the first red flag coming from a doctor! I went through with the procedure and I was hoping that the scars would blend in over time, well it will be 2 years soon and I look like a stab victim. I was butchered, I know it’s on my back but I paid over 1000$ and I look like I was attacked with a rusty knife. See pictures attached, I took them today December 5,2023.

They left a voicemail asking me to call them back because they processed my referral and wanted to give me an appointment. I've been trying to call them for 2 days, nobody answers, their voicemail is full so i can't even leave a message. Goes to show how careless their customer service is.

I was fortunate enough to find out about Dr cecchinis clinic and get a referral for myself. He and his nurse took a detailed history of my 20+ year history of skin conditions. Then he was able to correctly diagnose Hidradenitis suppurtiva unlike any other doctor or dermatologist ive seen before. He started me on treatment plan giving me a positive outlook on my future with this disease.

Fantastic facilities, very clean and modern. Staff are super friendly and very knowledgeable. Pharmacy in the building which is convenient.

Dr Cecchini really cares.

I've had HS for 9 years now and I have bounced from one dermatologist to another since then being unsatisfied with the care I was receiving and struggling with my condition. This year I was referred to Dr. Cecchini and have been receiving the best care I have had since being diagnosed. It's clear that Dr. Cecchini genuinely cares for his patients, that combined with his expertise in HS has helped me progress and heal more then I thought I ever would. The reception and nursing staff at the clinic have always been welcoming and my questions/concerns are always addressed promptly.

Very disappointed with this clinic. Had 2 appointment here and twice i waited for hours to be called in as they simply forgot about me.
Dr. Michael Cecchini was supposed to send a referal so i could do some allergy tests, and i guess that too was forgotten. As its been over 2 months and i have yet gotten a call from a clinic to have my tests done.
Go elsewhere if you want good service.

A well oiled machine on all fronts! Dr. Fleming is great and a fair and reasonable person. The staff at this medical office are amazing. Keep up the great work! I will be bringing a thank you card and gift card on my next visit.

Receptionist wasn't friendly.
My appointment lasted less than 5 minutes. I was trying to asked some questions but Dr. Fleming was in a hurry.
He did not give me answers, instead he prescribed me a prescription. I felt like I wasted my time and my concerns were not answered.

I had two cysts removed from Dr. Cecchini. The process was quick and easy. The staff/nurses were extremely friendly and they made sure I was taken care of every step of the way. (I was quite nervous). Everyone made me feel very calm during the entire procedure and I felt 0 pain! It's been over a month now and the incision is completely healed with 0 issues.

I also had to initially rescheduled my appointment and the front desk staff was extremely helpful over the phone and provided me with an alternative date right away.

Disappointing Service and Lack of Patient Care:

Dr. Michael Cecchini was my doctor. I was referred to this clinic by a hospital, and I expected a better quality of service but extremely disappointed.

During my first visit, before making a payment, I showed the receptionist a paper from my insurance, specifying that I needed a breakdown of the service date, including the cost, provincial procedure code (s), and patient diagnosis in my receipt (the same information submitted to OHIP). The receptionist assured me that this would be provided. However, when I later checked the receipt, I noticed that the codes were wrong and the table was not properly filled out! As a result, my claims were rejected.

When I contacted the clinic to explain the issue and request a correction (I had to be persistent to finally get a response), they treated my request disrespectfully and even demanded an additional $50 for each corrected document they would send!

I really regret to see such behavior. It looks like they are looking at their clinic as a business center. (this view point is even reflected in the about us page of the clinic where dr. Michael Cecchini feels proud as he could fund this clinic right after graduation and they have a lot of patients! (Well done! But as a potential patient, I would prefer to see a commitment to patient care.) This attitude ultimately results in treating patients like customers or mere sources of income. The doctor didn't even take the time to explain why he prescribed antibiotics during my brief visit and declined my test request. I had to visit another time after learning that if I asked, the doctor should have performed the test. Though, I still haven't received my test results after 3 months. (Supposed to be 4-6 weeks)

I think I should also mention in my second visit I encountered a very caring nurse who carefully responded to all my questions. She even came out to the reception area to explain my diagnosis from the previous visit and why I should use my medicine, which I deeply appreciate! I wish to be lucky enough to encounter more of such people in my life!

Travelled from Winnipeg Manitoba to see Dr. Cecchini for HS. Such an amazing doctor. Provided us with some instant treatments as we were from out of town. Staff was super friendly. Highly recommend this clinic. We will definitely come back again if needed.

Dr. Cecchini and his staff are all absolutely wonderful. I've struggled with both HS and psoriasis for over 4 years and it felt like no treatment would work; my diagnosis of HS was only recently determined by Dr. Cecchini. During my first appointment I met both Dr. Cecchini and his nurse, Kayla, and they were both very accommodating and made sure I was comfortable as they set up a treatment plan in place. HS is a truly debilitating disease which is so underdiagnosed, there needs to be more doctors and staff which are so compassionate and knowledgeable on not only HS but other health concerns out there. Thank you so much Dr. Cecchini and his wonderful staff for all that they did.

Appointment went smoothly and relatively on time (15 min delay). The waiting room was packed when I arrived. There were no empty seats in the waiting room.

The biggest upset was the receptionist. She has a bad attitude and has no respect for patients. She sticks out her hand and yanks your health card without a word. She seems like she really hates her job.

Dr. George! Amazing! Love love love his bedside manner and how he makes you feel so comfortable. The team is pleasant and lovely. No complaints.

Wait times are longer than an hour. In the reminder email they state “Please expect longer than normal wait times when scheduling your appointment. ” This is their way of protecting themselves because they always overbook patients and are never on time. The answering machine also states that they will not answer the phone from 12: 30pm-1: 30pm when in reality, they don't answer the phone ever.

Employees are respectful and polite but Dr. Cecchini is nervous, angry and not respectful. It was my the worst experience.

Amazing! A huge thank you to 3 key professionals at this incredible clinic! Tianna, Anique, and Dr. Cecchini. They saw me on an emergency appt and truly exceeded my expectations. The friendliness I was met with, the professionalism I was shown and the quick surgical action that was taken, was phenomenal. They were all compassionate and caring of my needs. I 1000% recommend getting a referral to their stellar clinic!

Waiting in pain for my appointment, hoping for solution as it was really painful walking and stepping on my foot, Dr. Fleming rushed the appointment, telling me the problem I have is not what I think it was and that he doesn’t deal with what I have. He sent me off with a moisturizing cream and told me to come back in 2 more months if it didn’t help. Guess what, it didn’t help because he was wrong with his diagnosis. I was crying for some solution. He just didn’t care enough to help. Luckily, I went to Dr. Cohen at the Foot Institute who not only knew right away what I had but also was able to help me and in 2 weeks my problem was gone.
P. S.my aunt had an appointment recently at the same clinic. When she described to me the arrogant attitude of the doctor, I asked her who the doctor was. It turned out that she had an appointment with Dr. Fleming.

I'm so glad that I found this practice. The staff are polite, and appointments are on time.

Dr. Fleming, who takes care of me, takes the time to explain things and give me different options. I'm very happy with York Dermatology.

I live in Markham and go the extra distance to come here because the dermatology office in markham which is run by someone else, is simply a horrible experience.

I have been suffering from Hidradenitis Suppurativa in extreme for 14 years. I've seen many doctors and so called specialists that would literally glance at my condition and push antibiotics.appt after appt, after appt.
I found York Dermatology and got a referral. Never in 14 years have I had better and more treatment in a single appt. Dr. Cecchini is incredible, the nurse Kayla was just as incredible. They were kind, personable and to the point with such a caring approach. I am so happy to be in their hands now, I finally feel that I'm getting the proper care. Thank you!

Hello I have been working with my DRS Cecchini and George for a year now and I drive hrs to see the 2 of them! I have bad HS and have for over 40 yrs I've been through the gambit of DRS but this is the best dermatology clinic I have ever been to from all over the world. I had to get in immediately and they made my Cysts a priority they were massive. I've never felt so welcome and had anyone listen to what I had to say not just tell me what is wrong without looking.thank you very much for listening you will without a doubt be in the best most capable hands in 5he field. Dr George has performed Major surgery to incredible success on me to remove troublesome massive grapefruit size Cysts. Do not be worried about your service with this clinic the nurses are gorgeous I've never had such loving and caring nurse's before.
Oh one last thing if you have HS do not go to the clinic in Barrie Ontario ever worst I have ever been to in 45 yrs I'd say more but.not nice

Went to see Dr Cecchini today, I have struggled with HS for over 15 years. From Dr Cecchini, to his nurses to the reception staff we beyond helpful. I would recommend to anyone with this issue. Top rate service all around. The only Dr who gave me options

I have been a patient of doctor Cecchini for months now and he is an amazing dermatologist but every visit starts the same.

His receptionists book multiple patients for the same time slots which results in extreme tardiness and delays in being seen. I’m talking hours after your appointment time. Very unprofessional to say the least and it is absolutely not an isolated incident.

If you value your time and peace of mind, I would highly recommend seeking another dermatology clinic.

I have had Hidradenitis Suppurativa since I was a teen and am now almost 40, and finally receiving the kind of care I have dreamed of getting from a doctor. No doctor has EVER been as kind, as supportive or as affirming as Dr. Cecchini at York Dermatology. His partner, Dr. George, was also wonderfully compassionate, but I only met him once. Their care has not only gotten my Stage 2 HS under control to the point I can say, I'm in remission, but also they got my blood sugar in check, too! I know the clinic is busy, but that's because HS is a monster of a condition and most doctors do NOT know how to treat it, at all. This clinic on the other hand, is extremely knowledgeable about HS and because of that, they are constantly booked. Just be patient, they will get to you and when they do, they will work so hard to make your life better. The nurses are also just so kind and patient. Trust me, give York Dermatology a chance and have a little patience because they truly do care to help you.

I have nothing but great things to say about everyone at this clinic. Everyone is SO kind, helpful and made me feel really comfortable, taken care of and listened to. Dr. Cecchini, Dr. George and Amanda were so efficient without compromising the quality of their work. Extremely attentive and caring. I have had several appointments. Dr Raj didn’t keep me waiting and explained my procedure thoroughly before proceeding. Very gentle with amazing follow through. Joanna was a delight also. I look forward to my next appointment with her.

Made several telephone appointments but Dr. Cecchini never called back or responded to emails sent to his office. We really needed to see a dermatologist and it was urgent but he never called us back. We called several times and the receptionist said he would call but he never did. Prior to this, Our second in-person appointment that was made via telephone, they didn’t document it in their system so when we showed Up for our scheduled appointment they didn’t have it in their system. Disappointing office. Front desk staff a bit unfriendly. Will never return. Good thing our family doctor was able to help us urgently and responded quickly.

If you need a doctor who cares a little try find a one doctor practice. In those places doctors care a little because they would care about reviews and referrals.
This place just a conveyor belt. Patients come patients go. They don't care about the results. Front desk personnel will book you with the dermatologist who needs his day filled. I needed Friday appointment, but was told they didn't work on Fridays. When I came the dermatologist told me that center is open Fridays. Anyways, the dermatologists here - just young kids who did the research and have no clinical judgement. And, frankly, they don't care. Because they are there for 1 or 2 days per week. They would not care because they are not likely to see you some time later.
Save your time and book the appointment with one doctor practice. Avoid the name "center".

Dr.cecchini and nurse Karen has done more for my fiance then her own family doctor has done in 15 years they are a remarkable doctor and nurse team and after the first meeting you could tell that him and his staff really care I highly recommend coming to this place for compassion and caring and looking to help and heal.

After years of suffering with HS and feeling hopeless, I can finally say, I feel hopeful. Upon walking into the clinic, the receptionist was welcoming and efficient. Hardly any wait time, and was then met by a wonderful, caring, and extremely friendly nurse. Nurse Karen made me feel at ease instantly and Doctor Cecchini did more for me in 10 minutes than my family doctor has in 15 years. I highly recommend York Dermatology to anyone suffering with HS

I have been coming to York Dermatology Clinic for the past year and have had nothing but positive experiences. The doctors, nurses, and the entire staff have been friendly and knowledgeable. I see some reviews bring up long wait times but in my experience I'm often in and out of the building in 45 minutes or less. I would recommend this clinic to others.

Rushed interactions and poor medical care. Pharmacist had to correct prescriptions and advised against what we were instructed to do by the dermatologist.
History of condition wasn't inquired about to determine potential causes and in one interaction the doctor tried to leave before even letting me know the frequency and duration in which to apply the treatment. In the end, I find multiple variations of the brand name he mentioned with different active ingredients in each for different purposes. The dermatologist did not bother trying to specify which one was applicable to the issue as the condition wasn't even fully investigated.

Friendly people, but poor medicine. Never accepting a referral to here again.

Dr. Cecchini is an amazing doctor! He is very understanding and accommodating. Extremely knowledgeable and specialized his field. I highly recommend him anyone suffering from a debilitating skin condition. The staff and nurses are compassionate and friendly. Their office is also aesthetically pleasing.

Dr Cecchini and his staff are amazing. My daughter was referred for a very debilitating skin condition. The appointment we were given meant waiting for a few months. I thought I would call and ask to be placed on a waiting list. I was desperate and explained that we would take anything. The receptionist was so friendly and kind. She was so sympathetic to my daughters suffering and helped us get an early appointment. Dr Cecchini himself has been a blessing. He ended my daughters suffering, she's healing and feeling postive. Dr George is very kind and makes you feel so comfortable. There isn't one single staff member that we can say anything negative about. You don't feel rushed, they take the time to listen and answer question.visting the clinic means a two hour drive for us and is well worth it. I could write paragraphs on how they have changed my daughters life.if you are suffering and need help Dr Cecchini is worth visiting.

I want to say Thank you so much for sharing your talent with me. I am so pleased with the results on my face that I have been experienced lots of painful pimples and redness of Rosacea on my face. Now my face is clean and soft, without that awful pimples, that I owe it all to Dr. Cecchini’s expertise.  Dr Cecchini and his nurses are awesome, super friendly, they are very patient.
Dr. Cecchini does not give up. He tries different approaches if one doesn’t work, he goes to another one.  Thank you all for making me feel better about my face.

The staff was friendly (reception, and nurses) and the wait time wasn't anywhere close to as bad as all the other reviews mentioned. Dr. Cecchini is very personable, and knew what he was talking about. If you have HS, he's probably the guy to be talking to. I have a follow-up in April, and will update the review.

From the reception to Dr. Cecchini, the service was exceptional. Not only was everyone highly efficient, they were extremely pleasant - making an unpleasant procedure almost enjoyable. I have no hesitation in recommending York Dermatology to friends and contacts.

Dr. Cecchini is AMAZING! He is so fun, and doesn't make you feel dumb for asking 1500 questions. Dr. C listens to your concerns and life fluctuations and adjusts his treatment plan accordingly. He is a fabulous dermatologist and I look forward to the monthly check-ins! My skin has never looked or felt better, and I get compliments on it all the time now. 11/10 would highly recommend.

As a person suffering with HS and acne since I was 9, it’s hard to find a place that will take care of you. Personally, I have been coming here for 2 years and it’s been a while since I have been back. This morning, I was introduced to a whole new team and all I can say is that I am BLOWN AWAY by Dr. Cecchini, Karren, Susan, and the rest of the staff. The atmosphere is very different from what it was a year ago, and it is all for the better. The whole time I was there, I was talked through the process so I can understand what was going on with my body and how we can move forward. We spent about 30 minutes going through options and figuring out what was best for me. I was there for HS, and ended up getting everything else checked out too! For the first time in a very long time, I felt heard, comfortable, and cared for in an office. All of the attention was on me and the team is a true testament to what a clinic should look like and how clinics should treat their patients. Highly recommend!

Was very skeptical about accutane at first, after being on it for 6 months I don’t see why I didn’t start earlier. The Staff is great and doctor is well informed. Would record to anyone suffering from severe acne.

The reception was so rude and disrespectful, I’m so disappointed, it was the first and last time I go there.dr Ceccini was so good and polite but reception not at all, even they said its normal that ur appointment is delayed for 45 min, for some people is 2 hrs, if u don’t want to stay more then you can cancel it! Shame on you! U are the rudest reception in richmond hill that I met! She was even rude to my pharmacist when my pharmacist called her to let her know the prescription she faxed was only a cover letter. This lady will bring the whole clinic down and even if the doctors are great, no one will go back because of the 2 receptionists.
