I need to attend unit 4 CCAC every other day. Today the nurse who was assigned to me, was so rude. I was greeted with grunting and pointing. No hi or good bye. Which set the tone right away. Not a word while I was with her. I felt very uncomfortabe in her care. When she finished, she turned her back to me. My indication that she was done. I could not get out of there fast enough.

Misdiagnosed by the doctor even when I explained terrible Chest pains I was diagnosed with an ear infection when I had bronchitis, terrible waiting time, wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone

Don’t even bother coming here, terrible clinic. Do yourselves a favour and find a clinic whose workers will actually do their jobs.

Waiting here with about 20 people in line. Sign on window says open at 11 on this exact date, yet still closed at 11: 50.dark inside. Calling gets reception at affiliated clinic who say it should be open. Another patient waiting here says this is the third time he has been here when the doctor and reception was a no show. How can anyone run a business like this?

The place is supposed to be open until 5 pm. I came in at 4 pm and it was closed… no explanation

Nobody is ever here, waiting with 7 ppl, clinic has been open for 45 mins.and all dark inside. I would comment about the receptionist and the doctor but I've come here 4 times during business hours and I have yet to see/meet a receptionist let alone a doctor.does anyone work here?

Horrible experience on multiple occasions, wanted to give them another chance each time, and each time I paid the price. Receptionist is rude and they only see patients as means to make more money, its very clear that they dont care about you or your health. One particular doctor especially, doesn't care, rushes every visit, spends barely 3 minutes with you and rushes you out, wont even make eye contact. I haf a question for him but he ran out the door, when I tried to find out where he went and to ask my question I was told I have to book another appointmentand wait 2 hours to see gim again, really? Disgusting cash grab. Had false diagnoses from him on 2 occasions for myself and for our baby, instead if getting better we got worse. I had to go to the hospital to get a real answer and proper diagnosis. Will never go here again, I suggest you stay away as well.

Avoid this place at all costs. The place is closed even though it says open on Sundays. Wasted our time.

The receptionist used to treat patients not in a truly polite way. But this time I see way better welcoming. It is a great improvement. The doctor however is not on time. The doctor supposed to be here at 10: 00 am, but showed up at 10: 25 am. Patients time is precious.

Beware. The doctor admitted to owning the pharmacy in the same building. Prescribed something that my regular pharmacy had never heard of just to clear out dead stock.

Claimed a rash was from a bug bite. Had no idea what they were talking about. Dermatologist the next day solved it with only one quick glance.

Stay away from this sham.

Website says it closes at 6. I showed up before 5 and they said they are closed for the day. Not really fair, especially since people depend on medical services to live.

Dont even bother calling them. They will make you wait half an hour and just hang up twice in a row.

I’d give 0 if I could. Took my 3 year old who had a really high fever only to have the receptionist tell me I might not be able to see the doctor in person and be super rude when I was asking her why not. The lady in front of me yelled at the receptionist and I felt bad for her but when it was my turn i understood why. Her attitude was very unprofessional. Never wasting my time again. They also don’t answer the phone ever!

Honestly, even 1 star is not fair to them! I wish i could give them 0 or minus!
The waiting time is killingly long! The pharmacist is soooo rude! They’re super slow and they would argue you when you complain about their speed! The service is super poor and i’m extremely disappointed with their service! For sure they don’t care about these revies unless their score shouldn’t be 2.0!

The Doctor are good here but the ladies out front treat me very poorly every time I call, they hang up on me, yell at me they have caller id at this location so they know who's calling, sometimes they make me wait an hour or more on hold then hanging up on me, then just now they put me on hold hung up on me after 15 mins I called back and the lady said you wanna keep bothering me then we're closed today now don't call until tomorrow good bye.
Like they do absolutely nothing and are rude to most patients it's unacceptable!

My family Dr. Was Dr. Behrouz.
While I was in extreme pain for months on end she referred me around to what seemed like every other Dr. They had at multiple locations! I had to outright demand to be referred outside of York Medicals obscenely twisted Sense of taking advantage of the governments money and to the detriment of the patients mental health.
I'm going to go so far as to explain that I am disabled due to several spinal issues and require weekly injections and heavy medication just to walk and do basic activities. So without any health care provided to any level of satisfaction, while I was in the deepest pain of my life she would ask me if I was cheating on my wife! I couldn't even get it up at the time without treatment lol
I believe this doctor had bias as
I received little to no care until I switched doctors. As soon as I was with my new doctor my health started getting better at a rapid pace. If you received similar treatment by this doctor please contact me.

Always disappointed with the service. But this time it was just the worst. Took my husband for a walk in doctors check up, which they refused to see him in person. The doctor just called over the phone and prescribed him some antibiotics, which made his health worse and he got a severe case of pneumonia. Worst hospital. The people there are so rude. Would not advise anyone to go here

This is one of the worst doctor clinics in the York Region. All the doctors that work here are incompetent and don’t listen to your concerns. They can barely communicate with their patients, talking over you when you are explaining your concerns

By far the worst clinic i’ve ever been to. Rude receptionist. No indication of how long you will be waiting to be seen and poorly organized.

They have not even bothered to fix their VM!
Today is Sep and their voicemail is giving us detail plan on their calendar on May and you have to listen for 3 mins!

It was bad experience. After waiting for two hours, the doctor didn’t want to help at all. She had no patience and didn’t care. She is there just for collecting money from the government.

A bad experience. I phoned the clinic ahead of time to ask they could take walk-ins. Even though I was the only one in line, the call wait time was incredibly long. The person who answered the phone instructed me to arrive before 11: 30 a.m. For a walk-in spot. I drove for thirty minutes, arrived at 10: 45, waited in line for the receptionist, and was then told that the doctor couldn't take any more patients. There were no more registration spots, the receptionist was extremely rude, and would not even apologize for wasting my time.

Worst walk in experience ever… witnessed the receptionists deny elderly patients masks saying they had none when I saw them tuck them in a cupboard so no one could see them. They also “don’t” have a key to the washrooms that are locked and will give you no help (even if you require to provide a urine sample)! Overall, poor conduct of a York region clinic and will be following up with the region about the neglect of patient care here.

I’m surprised with all the bad reviews. I bring my father today here on pain (I called before, and the receptionist was super nice and told me COME NOW as there is no too many people) once we get there, we waited about 40min, and then the doctor see my dad and spend almost an hour with us, give us advices and prescriptions!

Don’t even waste your time if Dr. Elham Ranjbaran is going to see you! I took my mom there for ovary and leg pain, she did not do any examination, not even looking at her belly let alone touching it to see if her ovary is swollen! And prescribed a painkiller only … when my mom insisted and wanted her to do examination on her ovary she said it does not have anything to do with the pain, you gotta go somewhere else for that! Seriously! Without even looking at it! Wow!
The worst thing about her is that she speaks Farsi (I found out later) but she did not speak farsi when my mom was struggling hard to communicate with her in English (My mom speaks Farsi too and She is not fluent in English)

If this wasn’t the closest clinic to me I wouldn’t be going here. Time and time again the receptionists are rude and inconsiderate, lacking empathy for the situation. The doctors are always showing up late and promising to call between certain hours and the call never comes. They make you do a screening form at the walk in and then SEND YOU HOME to wait for that call and then make you COME BACK and wait again in the walk in line if the doc wants to see you. These are not the kind of people we need in the medical field!

Don’t waste your time. Greeted by a non friendly receptionist you wait in line for a long time and then the doctor acts like they have no time to even listen to your concern. There was a female doctor on the weekend that was particularly rude, upon asking her for a referral she said she could not help (even though most online sources say walk ins can offer that) and then when I asked her about something else (since she was no help with the other matter) she tells me one request per visit and that I would have to come back another day. How absolutely ridiculous.

Terrible place for a walk-in clinic. Secretary is VERY rude and un accommodating. Do not recommend this place.

Imagine being told you will definately receive a call from the doctor the day you went in and NEVER receiving a call.do they just forget about their patients? Abhorrent.

The worst! Disorganized walk-in, irresponsible walk-in dr! The clinic opens at 9am and the dr shows up at 10.30 yet he spends 5mins with patients in the room, he doesn't explain his opinion about illness he just hands you a prescription and you have to drag the words out of his mouth, definitely would not recommend this wa-in to anyone!

If there was an option for a negative star rating that's what I would give. The front receptionists are rude and provide no guidance to patients as they enter the office. The front receptionist wouldn't let me see the doctor even after presenting a negative COVID test result due to me having a sore throat meanwhile she let the following 5 patients walk in without even asking for a test result. I spoke to a doctor over the phone who prescribed me antibiotics for a throat infection, they didn't take a swap or anything - never saw me in person. The antibiotics didn't work and a week later I was still sick. When I came back to the walk-in at 4: 30 I was turned away and told that the doctor was too busy to see any more patients - even though they're stated to close at 6? This Medicentre provided NO help to treat my infection and a week later I'm still in the same boat and all the front desk has to say to me is "try coming back another day when the doctor is less busy". If you can, avoid coming here at all costs. You're better off googling your symptoms on webMD. Fire the front reception please!

I was very pleased with the way a receptionist/secretary picked up my call (not just a ‘machine’) …& advised that they weren’t busy at the time, so I was able to drive down as a ‘Walk-In’.

A very polite AND friendly female doctor saw me…and spent as much time as needed, even though my ‘problem’ was really a family doctor type of thing! Dr. Ranjbaran *listened* (about the nightmare I’ve been going through since losing my Mom in March, much ‘thanks’ to Southlake’s nurse (s) taking her for an X-Ray with an EMPTY oxygen tank…& more/WORSE etc etc etc?) ; and showed understanding/*heart*/compassion etc.

Dr. Ranjbaran asked questions…explained things, & arranged for me to have blood-work…and even said she’ll call me with the results. I was also told that I could have her as a new family doctor, if I want…and gave an app’t to discuss everything etc!

A lot of places now don’t even pick up their phones…let alone ‘see’ a patient, but this clinic was excellent, on all counts!

Dr Kachooie’s staff, Shirly canceled my appointment without contacting me. When I show up to my appointment she straight up lies and tells me that she had left a message, which she hadn’t. Office manager, Karine Cheong, walks in and dismisses my concerns and says nothing can be done. I ask to contact the doctor directly, they refuse my request. Rather than offer to investigate, they both immediately blame the patient for their mistake! Only after I remind Karine to show empathy for the mistakes committed by the office staff, she the offers an half hearted apology! Absolute terrible medical service leaving the patient in ongoing pain.

To those complaining about waiting over half an hour to be seen: show some gratitude, please. You're complaining about FIRST world problems while many human beings in developing countries go without seeing a Doctor ONCE in their entire lives. Wake up and smarten up!

I've been an occasional patient here many years. It's a reliable neighbourhood clinic when your own family doctor is closed on the weekends or on vacation. Let's remember this first and foremost. For the most part, the staff and doctors have been excellent and they follow up after test results. I did come across the famous anti-vaxxer, Dr. Christopher Hassell as a patient shortly after COVID ballooned and after a 3 week bout with a lung infection. I recall he told me that there is a cure for COVID (wink wink) then proceeded to scribble down on a Rx pad the words "Ivermectin" and a link to Balanced Immunity.org. I've attached that original paper here. It was never intended to be a prescription, just informational in nature. I thought it was weird at the time and regretted not advising the ownership back then. I also didn't know whether York at the time, had taken on other physicians who were naturopathically trained. Other than that, I have no complaints about the care I have received there and I am thankful they are around when you cannot get an appointment with your own doctor.

A good local clinic that is usually open late. During Covid they are open at reduced hours. They tell you to wear a mask and your temperature is taken. It is a little busy. It took about an hour to see the doctor this morning. Dr. Rofael and Dr. Aliabadi were wonderful. They are knowledgeable and friendly. Thanks

Employs "Doctor" Christopher Hassell, an anti-vaxxer, anti-masker that was giving away mask exemption letters in the middle of the 4th wave. If you value your life, go elsewhere.

Sunday hours are not as posted. While it says 9am the receptionist will not arrive till 10am. The doctor will not see people from the waiting room till after they have finished their virtual/phone appointments, likely 11am.

People visiting a walk in clinic are likely not feeling well and are short of patience so waiting an unexpected 2 hours (if you arrived at 9 like I did) is frustrating. Correcting their hours would be a start in making for a better experience, perhaps the hours are different due to covid but we have been in the pandemic for over a year now and the posted hours need to be current.

The staff were reasonably friendly although not the best at calming the scared and frustrated, which I believe is very important for a walk in clinic. There are many small things that could be done to make this a good clinic rather than what it is. If you have a family doctor and can wait a day (since most doctors offices are closed Sunday) I recommend you do so to receive better care. If you cannot wait a day like I couldn't then you don't have much choice but to try and gather as much patience as possible and perhaps spend several hours here.

Sorry but Dr. Ali here is extremely dismissive and rude. He does not care to listen to your concerns. Don’t waste your time and energy here.

Today, I showed up at the walk-in clinic at 9am as their website business hours indicated. However, when I arrived, there was a note on the reception window that they are not opening until 10am! Other people were starting to arrive shortly after me as well, so I decided to wait. At 9: 50am, the receptionist came out and told everyone waiting that the doctor won't be coming until 11am! Definitely patients' time is not valued at this clinic at all! The worst part is that this isn't the first time that I arrived at this clinic at the opening time and a doctor wasn't there!

Not sure if even a doctor but his name is Ali Abadi, made us wait for over an hour and when i asked for referral for a specialist, he said he does not write referrals? THEN WHY ARE YOU HERE? Overall he is not in business of customer service and is all about swiping your OHIP card, making you wait an hour then bringing up excuses for the wait time and NOT address your concern. Any other doctor gives you a referral for any specialist you want to visit but this guy operates on his own. Pointless visit with unreasonable wait time and rude individual overall. Would look into reporting him to the board for being unprofessional and see if he is even qualified to be working at this position. STAY AWAY AT ALL COSTS

They don’t answer the phone to follow up with them. What’s the point of visiting the clinic and then they don’t answer at all. That shows the quality of the service.

Left me to sit in the waiting room for over an hour.with only two people there before me. Then they decided the next 8 people to walk through the doors where more important than me. Horrible Doctors Office!

I put 1 star as there is no option to put no stars. I visited York Medical On Nov 1,2020. This is during the peak of lock down so the facility was empty when I went. Firstly, no one was at the front desk which is understandably because it wasn't busy. I kept saying hello but no one would answer. So I had to call their telephone and that's when the receptionist came to answer the phone and then asked me what I needed. Fast forward to actually seeing the doctor now.

You could tell that he didn't care about seeing me. I expressed to him that I was having extreme abdominal pains that were unbearable and without any thorough checks or question persisted to tell me I had chronic constipation, then prescribed laxatives. The next day the pains got worse so I rushed to an Urgent Care facility. They promoted me to go to the emergency room where I was told I had an ectopic pregnancy that ruptured, my abdomen was being filled with blood and I needed to do emergency surgery.

It is Now Nov 24th and the York Medical receptionist is now calling me to say the doctor needs to speak to me about my urine test results. This is 3 weeks later! I will never refer anyone to this clinic. If you feel your symptoms are severe don't go here.

I hope my review gets taken to improve the service of York Medical, as I wish I could get better service in my local neighbourhood.

Since York Medical is a walk-in clinic, I understand the wait times can be long. Most of the time it is between 30-45 minutes, which includes waiting times in the waiting room and in the check-up room, which also takes a while.

As patients we wait very patiently with our health concerns and with hopes that the doctor can help us. I pay to get my grandma checked, so I expect to get the time for her check-up and talk about her concerns. Even if people covered by OHIP don't have to pay, the quality service is still expected from doctors.

However the 3/4 times I have been there, the sessions with the doctor is very rushed. I am not able to express all my concerns properly, and when I do in the limited time I was told they cannot write up while talking. I understand this may be difficult for the doctors but after this I was rushed while explaining, as the doctor was going to the next patient. This has led me to be more anxious than I already am coming to a clinic with my grandma during COVID-19, and sometimes forgetting to mention some points. I do not doubt the credibility of the doctors but I expect good patient service, even if it is for a walk-in.

I hope that management can convey to the staff members especially the doctors the importance of quality customer-service, getting to know the concerns of the patient and not rushing them.

Awful place, never told me if the x-ray I got came back as me having something broken or not. Didn't tell me how long healing would take if it wasn't broken, didn't even communicate with me other than "take ibuprofen". Though he did squeeze my potentially broken toe without permission.

The receptionist is really friendly, it's too bad she has to work with that jerk.

If you think you've broken any bone, don't go here, you'll be waiting days only to get no response.

Had terrible experience with dr. YOSTINA ROFAEL. Her professional credibility is a huge question.

Please do not go here. I took my baby there today for a walk in appointment. The doctor DID NOT wear a mask, I was in shock because we are in the middle of a pandemic and everyone needs to wear a mask, ESPECIALLY the doctor. I am in disbelief. I would rate this practice 0 star if I could. The doctor should be removed and stripped of his license to practice as a doctor. *EDIT*** after googling the doctors name, (because I asked him to put on a mask and the conversation thereafter was of course unpleasant and so he of course, did not tell me his name.) i am convinced his name is DR CHRISTOPHER HASSEL.

Work walk in clinic I think I’ve ever been to. Went in to get tested for something, one of the doctors misdiagnosed me and prescribed me medication for something I didn’t even have. Went in again to get re tested, waited almost two weeks for the results. Went in later on for re testing again, waited almost two week for the results only for the doctor and the clinic to NOT give me a call and notify me that THE LAB RESULTS WERE CANCELLED. I had to call myself and ask where my results were. Never going here again.

Dr. Hassel is honestly one of the best doctors I’ve seen in a while. I had this lower back pain for awhile and I’ve seen many doctors but he put time and he examined and helped me so much. He is very nice and experienced.

If I could possible give them a 0 I would! I never write reviews especially if they’re going to be negative because maybe it was a bad day and unusual circumstances that made my experience negative. However, this clinic should be shut down. I come here very often as it’s the closest walk in to my house and my family doctor works here.the problem is not even the doctors. There are very capable and excellent doctors that work here but the secretaries are horrendous. They act like they own the place and it is obvious they have very very poor management. They have no clue how to talk to patients. Instead of attending to patients and doing their job they are on their phone.absolutely ridiculous! They are so bad at their job and they are so entitled. I have never seen something worse than this. If everyone is saying this is an issue either fix it, change your secretaries and train them properly or stop wasting people’s time and shut down the place.

Doctor was okay but the receptionist was extremely rude and will never be coming back. She made my friend extremely uncomfortable when we asked to change her phone number in her account. She said it was not possible and after some argument she gave us the forms. Why could she not give us the forms to begin with? ANYWAYS, never returning.

Incredibly rude and unhelpful. Spent the last week trying to get the pills I need and they have been incredibly difficult for reasons unknown

Dr. Hossein Aliabadi is horrible and very rude. Doesn’t listen to you properly and rushes you out without doing a proper checkup. When my mom tried to talk to him he walked off. Would not recommend going to this walk in clinic. Do not waste your time.

Worst experience ever. Receptionist was very rude and instead of answering her calls, she was using her headphones and eating dinner. Even talking to me, she had her headphones in which I find rude. She took her sweet time to do her job which is very frustrating to watch in the waiting room.
The doctor I saw (I dont know his name but he was one of the older male doctors) was so rude. He didn’t even look at me in this interaction and gave me very unhelpful responses. When I asked him if I should come back to see him if the medication didn’t work, he replied “obviously”. All I wanted to know was if I should be more concerned about this health issue and take more action than just going back to the walk in. I’ve been to this walk in before and had a previous poor experience with the doctor as it seems they don’t care about what the actual problem is with you. They want to rush you out so they could go on with their day. Definitely not fit to be a doctor.

I would recommend to everyone that if there is something wrong with your health that may be very concerning, do NOT go to this doctor because they will not properly examine you and will want you out of there ASAP.

Dr. Khorsand is excellent family doctor. He is caring and flexible in hours. Only wish there was email and website available so I don’t have to call for every small questions or appointments Booking.

I came to this walk in clinic after going to two other walk ins and the emerg for an ear issue. Three other doctors told me there was nothing wrong with me and sent me home (I was deaf in one ear). The emerg doc referred to me an ENT but I had to wait while I endured loss of hearing. I decided I would try one more walk in and I'm glad I did. I was able to see Dr. Hassel and upon hearing my experience, he examined my ear and was convinced he could deal with it. He felt the same way as I did, that those other doctors did not do their due diligence to try to alleviate my suffering. He ended up irrigating my ear over 10 times because he felt that he could fix the ear blockage. After much perseverance and effort, he cleared my ear and was able to restorea my hearing. If I hadn't come and seen him, I would have had to suffer through a few more days of hearing loss, loss of productivity, anxiety and stress. He was very professional and patient and really helped me. I can tell he has a lot of experience and knew that I needed help. Thank you so much, I am grateful for his help!

Drove nearly 15 minutes to get here. Arrived @ 845. Clinic closes @ 10 according to their hours. Walked in and was refused to see a doctor cause "he had left early" for the night. Clearly other people's time isn't a factor for this place.

Drove here because it was open until 10: 00pm we got there just before 9: 00pm and the doors were locked. They had decided to go home early. We had tried calling a head to ensure it was open and just ened up in a voicemail loop say hours were until 10pm and the could not advise wait times.

Honestly the most unprofessional place I have ever been to. Place opens at 8am, but none of the staff or doctors were in till 9.
