Please be beware of this dealership for your service needs due to misleading billing practices. I will share my experience to let you shape your opinion. I had scheduled a prepaid 2 year maintenance at this dealership for today. Since my vehicle has now done 31000 kms/2 years, I was told I can opt for 3 more but paid services primarily, wheel alignment, brakes service and cabin filter replacement. The Service Advisor printed out a sheet of paper with all these offerings. He promptly told me how much the first one and second one is going to cost but did not specifically mention how much the third one (cabin filter replacement) costs. The paper he was holding had a figure of CAD 48 printed at the bottom right hand side of the cabin filter replacement item. I was surprised to see such a low price for cabin filter replacement at a dealership and promptly said 'Yes' to this one. Much to my surprise, once the service was done, I was told to cough up CAD 237 for it. Bewildered I could not wrap my hand around the figure and asked the Advisor to clarify the billing. He promptly brought the sheet of paper back and showed me CAD 209 as the charge which was including some foam cleaning of the air vent. Now this amount was inconspicuously hidden within 3 lines of text describing what air cabin filter replacement is about while what was conspicuously visible was a meagre CAD 48- the cost of parts. What a gem of a business practice!

Failure on so many counts, first- the Service Advisor not explicitly spelling out the cost of the replacement, second - hiding out the actual total charge of CAD 209 in service description verbiage and not mentioning it along with the parts cost (CAD 48) thereby letting the customer assume it was just the latter, third- not handing over anything to the customer to let him/her understand the actual cost of the service. The service advisor was holding the sheet all the time and kept it to himself. While they can easily hand over that sheet to the customer to let them be better informed. I know advisors are under immense pressure of increasing the billing amount but this is simply not acceptable. I know it is my fault as well and I did learn from this experience!

On top of that, I asked my advisor why my car went through a simple point check (service 1) instead of the recommended more comprehensive Service 3 that Toyota recommends at the end of year 2 or 32000 km. All I got was since the last one was service 2 this will be service 1. To those who are not aware, Service 3 is more comprehensive in many ways like engine oil change etc. Now since I took a prepaid package of maintenance and the dealer was not getting any extra money from me for this service appointment, they did not follow the Toyota recommended maintenance schedule which clearly spells out Service 3 at the end of 2 years/32000 kms. What a way to serve your customers!

Went for a tire and oil change. They said I had to change the control arms and it would cost $4,000! Went to another place for a second opinion and there’s nothing wrong with the car! Definitely won’t be going back to the dealership for my services. Don’t go and if you do, get a second opinion always!

We had two issues with Tacoma, the key/remote was not opening the door and wipers did not work. I went there and told them about both. Guess what, they charged us for two diagnostic fees of $165 x 2 for wipers and for keys, no repairs. We decided to repair the key, it come to almost $700 or so, disaster. Avoid these people.

They really helped me out when my battery died and I had to get back to NY for school. They were able to squeeze me in last minute and take care of my battery very quickly. I'm grateful for the service team for helping me out when no other toyota dealer in the area did. The service providers were extremely polite and professional.

There is some kind of fraudulent or criminal activity happening in the service department here, and I suspect at least some of the service desk people are in on it or receive kickbacks. Choose another Toyota location instead.

I came in for a routine tire swap (low cost) and was told that I needed an urgent repair (high cost). They tried to pressure me by saying the repair was a serious safety issue.

I recognized this tactic. So I took my car directly to another location and asked them to give me a quote to repair it.

They said they couldn’t give me a repair quote…because there was nothing to repair. It was completely made up. I now have written proof of this scam.

Avoid this location, especially the service department. If the Toyota head office is reading this review, please launch an investigation into the service department here.

Frustrating experience with service today. Service rep committed to contacting me, I had to call three times for update. Left messages that were unreturned and if not for coordinator Jonathan, I would not have had my vehicle back today. Does drop off at 9: 30 and pick up at 6pm for regular mtce check make sense? Not in my experience! Too many new faces who are not as committed to service as previous crew.

I wanted to provide this feedback to the manager but everyone left for the day so here it is! Not impressed.

Id give this place zero stars if it was available anyways so tired of the untrained employees always giving wrong information and having to waste our time due to this! Take day off work Booked appointment for Friday go to the place they tell me they make mistake and it was booked for next week Friday. Upset a little bit said ok and went back the following Friday advised it will take 2hrs by service representative but 3 half hrs later car gets taken in for inspection.called service rep who won’t pickup our calls then spoke to manager and had them check our car asap and decided not to do anything and leave to another Toyota dealership. The manager Antoñio raso, is very good but his delarship definitely needs to retrain it’s employee David beener for his lack of knowledge of the job he’s to perform as a CUSTOMER SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE.

This was one of the worst car purchasing experiences I’ve ever had and I’ve purchased a lot of cars. I called the dealership, spoke to a salesperson and drove to the lot. On arrival, I’m told the salesperson has left for the day. I get passed off to someone else. Then I finally get to test drive a car advertised on the lot. After speaking with the nice salesperson (Wei Wei - used car sales), and making a firm offer, the manager (Yuri) waltzes over and tells me - in the most ignorant, condescending manner that even if we want the car and pay for it, it’s not yet certified and he can cancel the purchase if he finds the certification costs are too high.

What a ridiculous way to manage a business and a paying customer. He blew the sale for the salesperson and I will never set foot on the lot again. I doubt he would have treated a man the same way. What is this, the 70’s?

I wish there was ZERO STARS! First, got transmission fluid change, they did it incorrectly which almost damaged my transmission. Got oil change from here and they did not change the oil filter as it was promised. On top of that, they just made stuff up and tried to sell me $400 of work that simply did NOT need to be performed! Used to be good place, NOT ANYMORE!

Major SHOUT OUT to Ahilan [on the Used Vehicle Sales team at Yorkdale Toyota] for all his help with my recent purchase of a used car purchase. When we first met all the vehicles I was interested in were either over my budget or already sold and so he took down the details of what I was looking for in a used vehicle (condition, budget, service history, etc.) and promised to be in touch if anything came up. Honestly, I have so little faith in humanity that I did not expect him to ever call me back. Less than 24 hrs later I got a call from Ahilan and, as they say, the rest was history. He talked me through the entire process as a first-time owner, and he made everything super simple and seamless for me as a busy professional with major time constraints. Came in with a flat tire. Paid for one and was told it'd be 2-3 hours. Waited 8 or 9 hours and the next day the tire was flat. Went to a local tire shop and they changed the air valve with a new stem and said they reused my old leaking air valve. Literally the place is a joke and they have no idea what they're doing.

This place has Awesome Staff, I particularly would like to personally Thank “Greg” and “Angela”, who helped me choice out my new Car. After visiting 2 other Toyota dealerships and having gotten below average customer service I decided To go to Yorkdale Toyota and I felt the value for customer. All I can say is I was well explained about the different models of the Car I wanted, I was offered a test drive which I wasn’t at the other 2 places. The Sales Representative was patient with my thinking and helped me with my car selection. I felt valued at this place and I feel proud to have booked my car from here. Received the worst car service, I brought my Rav 4 beceuse I hear a loud noise from my break, they charged me to diagnose the problem and they told me that noise is normal and nothing wrong. However my car didn’t pass the safety at another Car mechanic and they fixed my breaks and the loud noise was gone. Toyota doesn’t even understand the problem of their own cars, what a shame and sending me home with an unsafe car to drive.

I've called many dealerships talking to sales for many months. Many of which were quick to sell me on cars that have clearly been through an accident. Although I have not actually purchased a car here (as there is a shortage), I received professional service from the team. Specifically Assad had helped me over the phone by giving me in depth details about the cars they got and comparison between them. He wasn't pushy at all and was 100% honest with me about the pricing and value. Assad is very respectful and I wouldn't be surprised if the rest of the team is like that as well.

Happy Monday and a good service experienced! Well organized when I enter today for my booked 8AM appointment. Feel safe and clean when i enter the facilities, they put a cover to driver seat, and plastic wrap to steering wheel. Thank you for the advisor Mark Butihen for the well explained needed service for my Toyota Corolla. Since, 2008 I used the service of Toyota Yorkdale. I had bought a 2nd hand Mazda 6 2014, in Nov 2021. However the dealership failed to check that there is a Open Incomplete Safety Recall on the car which relates to the Brake! Now I have to run around trying to solve the problem! Brake is about life and death! How can a dealership miss this when selling the car?

Here, you get friendly people who don’t try to “push” anything on you. They’re helpful. They listen. They’re accommodating.

First time going here. Had to get an oil change. People are nice when you walk in. Had troubles contacting them over phone. They don't get to you right away. So I found out when we have an appointment with Yorkdale Toyota they give us an option to get a ride free of charge somewhere there and back to their shop while they service your car. If you're only in their range of travel. They text you when the car's ready and the driver is coming to pick you up. It was quite relaxing to go there when I don't have to wait for 3 hours for them to service my car.

This review is for the service department. I have been to this service location twice - once for a broken windshield, another time for an electrical problem, plus an issue with the bumper. On both occasions I got exceptionally good service. They provided expert advice, did everything quickly, and exhibited excellent customer care. Not only that, but the prices were extremely reasonable. They only charged the bare minimum to do the job. Tony has been exceptionally accommodating and professional. He also put me in touch with Brian (I think that was his name) from the bodyshop, who was also exceptionally accommodating, and again recommended the most cost-effective solution. They are a good bunch of people! I have found my new service garage!

The staff at Yorkdale Toyota is wonderful and polite and I haven't had a poor experience with them over many appointments and many years (including today).

However, I brought my car in for service today with a scheduled appointment (with email confirmation). They couldn't find it in the system (later confirmed there was a glitch) and were unable to make it right. I've been a repeat customer at Yorkdale Toyota for years, even after moving to Whitby, but will now be switching to another dealership.

As first time new car buyers, going into a dealership sounded intimidating. The employees at Yorkdale Toyota were all professional, super nice, knowledgable and not pushy at all. They explained everything in great detail and helped us pick out a great car for my family and I. I'd like to especially mention Mario (Marian Alpopii) for all his hard work. He responded to all inquiries (which we had A LOT OF) quickly and had SO much patience. He also made sure all paperwork was in order and had the car ready for exactly when he said it would be. When picking up the vehicle, Woo gave us a full tour before we drove off. He knows his stuff, and was also super funny! If you are looking into purchasing a Toyota, I highly recommend Yorkdale Toyota.

We just bought a Toyota Tundra crew cab. First the service we received was exceptional! Welcomed when we walked in. Wait a very short time for a sales rep. The sales rep was thorough and very knowledgeable. When picking up our new truck they walked us thru every contract and every feature of the truck. We were very confident in our choice of truck and dealership. Everyone was lovely!
Now the truck is AMAZING! Drives like a dream, has amazing features and overall my favourite vehicle to drive. My husband and I fight on who is going to drive it that day! ;)

The worst Customer Service I have ever faced. I booked an Appointment over the Phone for 17-Nov-18 1: 45 pm, received an email confirmation the same day and received a reminder email on 14-Nov-18. I tried calling 3 times to confirm if my Stored Tires were recalled but the receptionist transferred all 3 calls to the Service dept which all went to messages. I never received a callback as promised. I even went to the Appointment site and left a message. When I reached Yorkdale on 17-No-18 1: 45 pm for the appointment I was told they did not have any booking for me. They had no answer as to how I had email confirmations for the same? And No apology! Never going to Yorkdale ever - Disgusted Customer.

Great service from sales! Purchased my car here and went into early labor and the salesperson that was helping us was very accommodating and very nice. She helped speed up the process and made it super easy for us to purchase the vehicle.

The financing person on the other hand was very pushy selling us extras, insurance, rust proofing etc and it just was not the right time to do it. We were in a hurry to leave as i was in labor and he even called while we were in hospital. We already told him that it was not a good time to talk about extended warranties etc as i was in hospital, in labor. Oblivious to things, he was just not cluing in that it was not a good time and just kept talking and pushing for sales. Other than this sales issue, the car we havw purchased is great and they made sure everything was in great working order, new mats, brakes and even added a back trunk cover as i requested.

Went to this dealership to transfer a lease. (Monday) transfer fees were paid for by the my ex girlfriend at the time, close to $500. The finance manager Zubair told me all fees realted to the transfer was complete. Few days go by and my bank account was debited the same amount as the transfer fee. (Friday) Tried calling the finance manger on duty named Alex 10 times and left a voicemail for a finance manger to get back to me. They closed for the day without anyone reaching out to me. Its wouldn't have been a big deal if I wasnt going away for the weekend and was counting on the money. Now my weekend trip is ruined and my problem is still left unsolved.

Update: Finally got a hold of Zubair. Was upset I left a bad review.

I was expecting an apology for his mistake.

Excellent response in conflict resolution from management. Lie and blame the potential customer to cover for it's staff.
First off.i was the one that approached the reception to get a brochure after lack of service. And only then, on the way way out i was approached by one sales person, and it was too late as i explained in the first comments. Who are the other 3 people you are claiming that approach me? If you want the end all to your claim.check you camera recordings and we'll see who is making false claims!

Went in to see the new minivan and after half hour not s single sales person approached us. I was there with 2 kids.so it wasn't like we were not noticeable. Only when I was leaving then a rep approached. Too late. Took a brochure and left. Should have gone to Ken Shaw in the beginning. Wish there was a no star option for a review.

“ Exceeds Expectations! ”
I went in expecting to purchase a used vehicle. I didn't even want to consider a new vehicle thinking it was out of my price range. Sohail Aman took the time to give me all of my options and was never pushy. I ended up getting a brand new car that I LOVE and can afford. He even took the time to make sure I knew how everything worked and was set up properly as far as connecting the blue tooth with my phone, etc. I highly recommend Sohail Aman at Yorkdale Toyota. My experience definitely exceeded my expectations.

I will try to make the story short and informative for anyone that looking for a vehicle either new or pre owned Yorkdale Toyota is definitely the place YOU SHOULD VISIT.

I actually live in Europe and purchased a pre owned 2017 Toyota Sienna from Yorkdale Toyota.

I have contacted numerous dealerships that had the vehicle in stock that I was looking for 2017 Sienna, and when I called to speak to someone about purchasing the car they didn’t take me seriously as I wanted to have the vehicle shipped over to Europe and was told they are not familiar with these type of transactions and don’t do them. Slowly realizing that I probably wont be able to buy the vehicle I always wanted for my family as we take a lot of family trips through out the summer and this was the ideal vehicle for us I came across Yorkdale Toyota so I decide to give it a last try. Called the dealership and they directed me to a Simona Kahanek the business manager to answer questions about how can I purchase the vehicle and have it transported to Europe. The conversation took 15 min with all my questions answered to the greatest details and I purchased the car that moment! I couldn’t believe it!

Everything was arranged for us, including the correspondence with transport company arranging the drop off of the vehicle precise details of how to register my car in Europe as well with all my documents filled up accordingly by Chris. Guys you are fantastic! Thank you!

I was amazed with the service, and best part was that our Sienna arrived 1 week earlier than expected!

Simona is a rarity. An example of a hard working, passionate individual who genuinely cares for those she meets. Shes professional, kind and whole heartily cares for everyone around her. Shes the first to greet you with a sincere smile and will make you feel like you're in the hands of a trusted friend or family member. If you are fortunate to get her as a business manager you'll never want anyone else. Simona, it is a pleasure to know people like you exist.

I visited this dealership on July 31st 2018
I was amazed by the costumer service experience. From the time I walked in I felt welcomed and the front desk lady was very professional. She told me to come back to her when I am ready to talk to a salesperson. A while later, I went to her and she welcomed me back looked for someone to support me.
I usually don't like individualizing my review, but in this specific case I wouldn't be fair if I dont do so. I was lucky enough to have Janet Doan as the salesperson who answered all of my questions. She even went above an beyond what a great salesperson would do. She cared for what I am looking for and provided me with what I would consider the best customer service experience I have ever received (this coming from me personally is a HUGE DEAL, especially that I work in customer service in the not-for-profit field)
Janet has exceptional interpersonal skills, high ability to make you feel comfortable and welcome. She has shown the care that a customer would enjoy and help them to make a decision. She is very knowledgeable, and highly skilled (again this coming from me is really a BIG deal! I have never individualized my experience nor I have wrote in any review about a staff member.)
I would definitely recommend them. I haven't purchased a vehicle yet but planning on doing so soon. I will be editing this review based on the next steps in terms of punctuality, follow up and how competitive their prices will be.

Appointment need for an oil change and when your car is getting serviced it still takes them over an hour. All Toyota's have different pricing, so shop around. My oil change costed more then when I take to Ken Shaw on St. Clair, they do it faster. At Ken Shaw, if you don't get your oil change completed by a certain time, the oil change is free. Ken Shaw Service and Pricing is way better than Yorkdale Toyota.

Bought a Tundra 1794 edition from Yorkdale Toyota.
Sales rep Fabro did a great job and was friendly, however there was another salesman called Zubair which was rude and was forcing me to buy extended warranty and some other options, and I refused. Another day he called me to ask if i changed my mind about extended warranty and I said no, he told me that Toyota cars are not reliable as old days and he hung up the phone when I refused to purchase the extended warranty.

THE 5 HOUR OIL CHANGE! Went in for regular maintenance and get a slow leak patched. Arrived [3pm] and explained the 2 things that I needed done, service rep typed up the work order and quote. He had forgot to add the tire patch to the work order. Talk about ADD, I need 2 things done and immediately after the conversation the guy blanks on 50% of the work required. Service Rep quotes 1 to 1.5 hours for work, I leave to go occupy myself while the work is done and receive a phone call 2 hours later stating work finished in next 20 minutes so I should return. I arrive back at the dealership to find that the technician didn't read the work order [he literally said this to both the rep and I] so he hadn't patched the tire and only did the regular service. Back in the car goes, its now approaching 6pm, I decide to wait in the lounge while the tire is patched and let the rep know I'll be waiting in the lounge, they can call or find me there. An hour and a half later I ask another service rep to check on my car because it's been way too long. What do you know, the work was already completed but no one had bothered to call me to let me know!

In Summary, their service reps have the attention span of a fruit fly, the garage techs don't read the work orders, and they may or may not decide to let you know when the work is actually completed. Not one apology from anyone at any point, which means ZERO ACCOUNTABILITY, COMPLETELY UNPROFESSIONAL, and entirely INCOMPETENT from end to end!

It's one thing if they were fixing my dishwasher, it's another when the livelihood and well being of friends, family, and loved ones is riding on the quality of their workmanship. Think about that for a minute. Your life, and the lives of the women and children that ride in your vehicle depend on the quality of the work these folks do, and they're completely incompetent. Scary thought, life is precious, don't bring your vehicle here.

They have state of the art facilities with a great line of products that is reliable. Their staff are dynamic and they will do their best to give you a wonderful experience! Management are very professional and knowledgeable!

Wasn't impressed with some of the staff both when purchasing the car and when we took for routine service. Haven't returned. Had a more positive experience at the toyota on front.
