Had my 9.5 years old daughter do 3 walk in sessions, with the same therapist who was nice and acted professional. The first two sesions I was there too, and the last one was just my daughter. During these sessions, my daughter shared details about phisycal abuse and menthal abuse that occured when she was in her mom's care, abuse from her mom and the mom's boyfriend. She was talking about slaping over the face, punishments, she was given to smoke shisha and other things. After the third session, my daughter did not want to continue and I requested the notes so I can get the court look into what hapened. The notes did NOT mention any of the abuse from her mom and when I asked why, I was directed to a manager. The manager also refused to adjust the notes because " would not be a good representation of the brief, goal driven model". I wonder if my child said that the abuse was hapening at my place, the father, Yorktown would also refuse to put that on the notes? ! How long does a child have to suffer before someone who has the posibility to do the right thing, will do it? Or this is okay and acceptable ONLY because it hapens at the mom's?
I am very dissapointed in the way Yorktown sees "a good representation and goal driven model"! Don't waste your time taking your child here, especially if you have a sensitive situation.
