I was little nervous, as I'd never had general anesthetic before, but the team answered all my questions and made me feel very comfortable. The chair was cushy, they gave me a blanket, and Dr. Meisami basically tucked me in before I went under. Considering it was surgery, it was really quite pleasant!

Every time I’ve had an appointment it has taken them 45 plus to call my name. Why book someone in at 1: 30 if u can only see them at 2: 30. Ridiculous and unprofessional. Nothing against the staff when they r helping u but this is no way to run a business.

What amazed me with Dr Meisami is not her beautiful office in the heart of downtown.
It is her professionalism and her artistic work.
As a dentist myself, I am pleased and proud to be her patient and confident on her work to refer my patients and family to her.

The team here is excellent! I was quite nervous coming in to have my 4 wisdom teeth removed due to them being impacted, however the nurses made my experience comfortable, pleasant and it was over before I knew. Cannot recommend this team enough.

Dr. Meisami and her staff of nurses and administrators were all amazing. From the time I was admitted to them handing me off to my husband. The nurse that was assigned to me stayed with me the whole time and talked me through everything she was doing and made sure I was doing ok. After Dr. Meisami extracted my wisdom tooth they called my husband to come and get me. When he can up the nurse gave him a bag with everything I needed for my recovery, which had my prescriptions, extra gauze, monojet and after care instructions. I also got a courtesy call the next day from one of the nurses to ensure so was doing ok or if so had any concerns. I had my follow up appointment a week later and the nurse was surprised when I told her I was in any pain and didn’t have to take the prescribed pain meds and said I was healing perfectly. My experience was amazing and would recommend this place if you ever need a wisdom tooth extraction done!

From pre to post operation, Dr. Meisami and her team have been extremely helpful, supportive, and attentive to help me through the surgery and recovery process. Had to have emergency wisdom tooth removal and I was able to get an appointment in a few days. The team was fantastic, Doctor Meisami was especially brilliant. Very informative, quick and easy. Absolutely great experience at Yorkville Oral Surgery, Dr. Meisami is such a great surgeon! I had 3 wisdom teeth removed, two very impacted and I'd been putting it off for years. I explained my major anxiety to Dr Meisami in the consultation and she made sure the day of surgery I would be feeling comfortable and very comfortable indeed I felt. Very little swelling. And received a follow up phone call the next day after surgery to see how I was feeling.

Overall, I had great experience for my wisdom teeth removal. There were three different sessions: initial consultation/x-ray, the surgery and a follow up around after a week. Everything went very smoothly.

I would recommend Dr. Meisami to all my friends and family for oral surgery. I saw Dr. Meisami in 2019 to consult about double jaw surgery that would correct my jaw anatomy that was causing severe sleep apnea. Before the surgery I had several other surgeries to ensure the greatest success and in April 2021 I was able to undergo surgery (maxillary le fort osteotomy advancement, mandibular bilateral sagittal split, genioplasty and genioglossus and geniohyoid muscle advancement). Dr. Meisami was patient, kind, friendly and compassionate. I never felt like I was rushed and she happily provided in depth explanations for any question I asked without making me feel that the question was stupid or that I was wasting her time. I felt comfortable going into surgery knowing that my surgeon was highly educated in performing the surgery and that recovery was explained in detail. Dr. Meisami ensured that I understood all the side effects or alternate options that would be best suited for me and my condition. Dr. Meisami's team is always helpful over the phone or in the office. I live 4 hours away from Toronto and they always accommodated me to ensure that I was receiving the best care. Without Dr. Meisami and her team, the extensive surgery would have been much more difficult.

The staff is professional, friendly and did an excellent job! All my questions were answered with expertise and the procedure was performed perfectly and painlessly. They took the time to follow up multiple times, days and weeks after the procedure. Cannot recommend this place enough. Dr Meisami is one of the best!

I went to Yorkville Oral Surgery for four wisdom teeth to be extracted, an experience I was very anxious about, but didn't need to be!
The office is a nice clean, modern space. I had an initial consultation where they explained the whole process, answered my questions and sent me for a CT scan to check how close the teeth were to the nerve. They did say initially the results would be reviewed the same day of surgery but for me personally I wanted to know ahead of time what was going to happen/risks. They were very accommodating of this and I was able to review the results with Dr Meisami before I made the decision to book the surgery without charge. Karen who books the treatments and often picks up the reception phone was always quick to respond and happy to answer any questions!
I was nervous on the day of surgery but the nurses and Dr Meisami put me at ease right away! The whole process was very quick and so far (it's a week on) the recovery has been barely any pain or discomfort. Dr Meisami is available via pager any time after the surgery for emergencies, fortunately I didnt need to use that but reassuring to have the option. Overall I had a great experience at Yorkville Oral surgery and would definitely recommend it, especially if like me you are nervous about it! My only complaint would be for one consultation I waited an hour to be seen but may have been a particularly hectic day.

Yorkville Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery has a level of care and expertise second to none. I've had three procedures there now and they've been flawless; the discomfort and pain less than a dental cleaning for the most part. Dr. Meisami and her staff are a true pleasure.

My experience far exceeded my expectation! I was so nervous about wisdom teeth removal, I had put it off for years and years but after meeting with Dr. Meisami I had no more fear. She was empathetic to my anxiety and treated me with kindness, I really felt she listened to and addressed all of my concerns. The staff and nurses were equally as wonderful, the day of my surgery I knew I was in good hands and all the worry went away. Their service has been excellent from day 1.
The surgery went very smooth and I barely had any pain or swollen area the days after (I had 2 wisdom teeth removed). Their level of professionalism and care for their patients is outstanding. I recommend this clinic to all my friends and family that need oral surgery.

Often you find busy clinics to be rushing patients in and out but this was definitely not the case here.

Had a great experience with this business. The location is ideal for access from in and around Toronto (on Bloor, accessible by TTC). The office is pristine and clean. The staff were very friendly and professional, and were following all COVID protocols. Those involved in my procedure were patient, courteous and thoroughly explained my procedure and addressed my questions and concerns.again, the staff were very helpful, sympathetic, and understanding. The preliminary meetings, emails and instructions were well thought out, and communicated. The follow up was also helpful. Given the sedation requirements for my procedure, I wish I'd received my aftercare instructions via email (I temporarily misplaced mine!) instead of hardcopies though. All in all, would recommend.

This is going to be a long review, but if you have anxiety about picking your surgeon, read on.

So, first off I’ll say that I had plans to get my procedure done somewhere else, and the day before things fell through because of a scheduling error.
Secondly, I have horrible medical anxiety. I get panic attacks very easily in the dentists office and have had some bad experiences.

The service I received here was not only above any expectation, but the final charge was over $1200 less than what I would have paid at the other place (where the dentist did surgery one day or so every 3 months!)

Everyone who worked at the office was kind. The receptionists and nurses all knew me by name, and they always spoke to me clearly, informatively, and with compassion.

Dr. Meisami was knowledgeable, compassionate, attentive, aware of my anxieties, and also- she has a personal pager for emergencies. This was a huge relief for me as with a complex 4 tooth extraction i was worried about complications, and also because I had a bit of a tough time after the surgery and she was able to update medication recommendations literally ASAP. Any time I had an issue, she was on it. I followed the instructions for after care closely and had no serious complications.

The office has a very strong covid protocol as well. You must go through the questionnaire (and sign) and have your temperature taken each time you go in. This made me feel much safer about going in to an environment where I would be without a mask for a time, and also at an increased risk. It was very clean, and also quite nice looking inside!

I felt no pain during the removal and was given clear instructions of what to do and what to expect for the next few days.

I have been a patient for the past 12 years and have gotten two tooth implants and in my many visits I have always been treated with great amount of respect and kindness by Dr. Meisami and everyone that works there. Even making appointments on the phone has been a pleasure unlike a lot of other doctor offices. Wait times are minimal due to the sufficient amount of staff that are on duty and the level of their knowledge and professionalism. I am very grateful for their service to the community.

I just had two wisdom teeth extracted a little over two weeks ago and it all went very well.

I suffer form pretty severe social anxiety and the staff were very professional and kind, to the point where it put even a very nervous person like me at ease. Dr. Meisami, the nurses, and the receptionists were all very empathetic, patient, and thorough in answering all my questions and walking me through the entire process. I know every case is different, but my procedure was relatively very quick, painless, and the recovery had next to no discomfort other than the numbness and the inability to eat some of my favourite foods for a few days.

Overall, I highly recommend this place, and would like to give a heartfelt thank you to Dr. Meisami and the staff.

Also, I'm not sure if they're still offering them, but the complimentary lip balm was the best lip balm I've ever used!

I was extremely disappointed in my double jaw surgery experience with Dr. Meisami. My jaw surgery took several hours longer than initially estimated, and I was placed in ICU overnight. My estimated blood loss was 1300 ml. My jaw surgery continued the following day and I was returned to ICU. My estimated blood loss was 100 ml. Ultimately, I was very unsatisfied with my results and went to a different oral surgeon. It’s been a very long road. Going to Dr. Meisami is one of my biggest regrets.

I recommend Dr. Meisami and her team without any hesitation. I put my wisdom tooth extraction off for years out of fear; Dr Meisami was thorough and careful in her approach, ordering CT scans to be sure of nerve placement and roots, ensuring that I had the right anti-anxiety treatments in place leading up to the surgery. I felt safe and heard, in all of my concerns. Everyone on the team is genuine, and kind, from Karen in the front of house right up to Leaha, during the post-surgical check-up.
Also to note: I had my teeth out during the pandemic. The office is run with complete attention to Covid-19 protocols, and the gentility and patience that is shown to the patients is extraordinary.

I had a wisdom tooth extraction with Dr. Tina and it has been the best dental experience I’ve ever had! She was caring and thorough. I am so pleased with the care that was taken with my daughter by Dr. Meisami and her team. I went back to Yorkville Oral Surgery because I was referred to them ten years ago through my dentist for my son. Both my children needed to have extra teeth taken out and Dr Meisami looked up his files and confirmed that they both had the same extra teeth that needed removal. My daughter thought that was really cool that she got to see her brothers x-ray and hear they both had the same issue. His experience was excellent and I am glad to say the care has not changed. Dr Meisami was very through and made sure we understood the procedure and recovery. Every aspect of what was going to happen with my daughter was explained in detail. The admin.staff are also very helpful and answered all the questions that I had regarding fees. They were very accommodating in helping to sort out coverage. On the day of the staff took the time to go over everything again with my daughter. She said the nurse really helped to keep her calm by talking with her before the surgery. She stated she was not nervous at all and felt it was because Rebecca spent time making sure she was comfortable with what was going to happen. Dr. Meisami and her whole team are awesome!
