You Move Me Toronto

This is our second time using You Move Me and we had a smooth move each time. Thank you Christian, Kevin and Adam for your hard work in moving the contents of our home to our new location.

STAY AWAY, this company stood me up. Very unprofessional, deceitful, they wasted my time and I have to look for another mover that costs me so much. Nick and Harold, both of you should not be putting people in compromised position if you are over booking and not showing up you should at least have told me in advance. I have to call twice while waiting a no show. I got a call 2 days before for confirmation of their service, what was the call for if you guys are just going to stood up customer?

Nick says they were only helping their Toronto office and they are a franchise from Guelph. Regardless of which location you are with Nick, customer deserves better service than your lame excuse. I didn’t get an apology but instead he said my guilt tripping is not going to affect him.
What a way of treating a customer.
Horrible experience!

Booked a move months ago for last Wednesday and nobody showed up. Planned it, we were ready. Nobody came.

Was told there was trouble with the truck, and the manager was MIA, they would do another move and get to us in the afternoon. Didn’t hear anything. We had to call and text at 5 and didn’t get a response until 7.

No apologies, no trying to make it right, nothing. Can we do Saturday they asked. Sure, fine, let’s do it. We still need to move everything.

Fast forward to today (Saturday). Got a call earlier in the morning that again nobody was coming.

Some apologies this time as the Kitchener office was now trying to cover for the Toronto one. Rebooked for Sunday. Then they sent us a quote that not only had zero discount, was $800 more than the original quote. Apparently corporate was fine to just “not move us” if we didn’t like that.

So we said nevermind we’ll rent a Uhaul, can we get our deposit back? Oh well, gotta talk to some other person about that. And now we have to email whomever to try to claw that back.

We are very understanding that problems come up, and we were very patient about this despite not knowing what we would have done if we needed to be out at the end of the month.

I would give this company 0 stars if I could. For corporate, who apparently don’t care about the people who hired them.

Had a great experience with You Move Me, which was recommended by our real estate agents who had used them for their own move.

The initial intake was super easy using video call image recognition, and the estimate was pretty accurate at the end of the day.

On moving day, Kevin and his team showed up on time, communicated very well throughout, worked hard and efficiently, and constantly asked what more they could do, or if we had changed our minds e.g. To move certain pieces to different spots. They were extremely accommodating, and were very personable as well.

Definitely will use them again.

After paying a $250 deposit to their Toronto Franchise I needed to slip the date. Originator and franchisee unresponsive and calls to their centralized call centre in the States yield empty promises. Eventually heard back from the franchisee and received full refund.

EDIT: I did recieve a call back from Jordan. He has ensured me that our move will run smoothly and I am confident in him and his team. I am not giving them a 5 star because unfortunatley the Corporate Call centre that is now taking calls for them during transition is useless (they get a 1 star). The agent I spoke to yesterday was rude, disrespectful, impatient, and hung up the phone on me. Hopefully you guys get your own call centre back, where all the people I spoke to in the past were kind, polite and helpful)

Effective and reasonable priced move but I didn’t get a houseplant or the coffee promised as advertised at the time now to think of it.

We just had the best experience with You Move Me movers. Neil and Kyle were friendly, professional, and super efficient. They arrived before the scheduled time and got the job done earlier than expected. My husband and I had been feeling stressed with this upcoming move. These guys were very chilled and helped put our minds at ease. The headache of moving evaporated. I would recommend You Move Me in a heartbeat. Amazing guys! Amazing service! Amazing experience!

Tim and Neil were the movers they were efficient and helpful. Jimmy was the agent who helped with arrangements regarding the move.

I didn’t pay over what I was quoted for which I was really happy about, and Dave, Rob, and Alex rock! They made the move so easy - they really know what they are doing, and are very professional. My puppy was scared and they were all so sweet to him - bonus points from me!

A good and successful moving takes multiple factors: professional, calm, safe, know how to design the batch of moving based on items, communication. You Move Me meets most of my criteria. They notified me half an hour before they arrived. When I showed items for move, they designed the way which will move first and which last. The loading and unloading are smooth with mindfulness in their action. When I explained what items are fragile, they brought blankets on their way back after other loads. Floor runner in winter is crucial to protect your floor. They have equipped with enough runners. The end of moving experience is also satisfying. They finished the job less than 2 hours. Even they communicated me the minimum charge is 2 hours, they decided to charge me 1.5 hours instead of 2 hours. It showed their consideration. The only downside is their truck fee is about $50 higher than other moving companies. When the quality and safety are met, it’s worthy to pay a bit extra. Thanks to George and the team for a pleasant moving experience. A good business is through word of mouth. Hence, I recommend this company.

First time user, and won’t be the last. Tim and Derek (the mover’s) are two very special people. Kind, polite, and very attentive to our needs. Professional in every sense of the word. It was a real pleasure working with them, and will definitely recommend them to friends and family. Great work Tim and Derek. Continued success!

I had a terrible experience with You Move Me Toronto and I absolutely DO NOT RECOMMEND anyone to work with them. I hired the services a second time in February 2023 (previously hired them in 2021 for a move and was happy with it). This time I was assigned a different crew. Once the crew left, I realized that my PERSONAL ITEMS that are very important to me and that are irreplaceable have MYSTERIOUSLY DISAPPEARED. I reported the incident.

I do not wish anyone to experience what I am going through and encourage others to do their research and make an informed decision before choosing to engage with this business. It is very UPSETTING and I am shocked that something this bad can happen in the first place.

I needed both flexible dates and destination, right up until a few days before my move and The You Move Me team easily accommodated this with clear and transparent estimates. On the day itself, the team were punctual, hard-working and professional. I would definitely hire them again.
There are a lot of horror stories surrounding a number of companies in the moving industry. Avoid all that, go with You Move Me!

Daniel Martinez was very flexible when the vessel asked him to wait to deliver, as we were loading stores when he arrived. 10 out of 10!

We used You Move Me for the first time this year based on a recommendation from our realtor. The experience was great, the team was fast, yet careful. They respected specific requests on-site and was supported by a responsive team in the office. We'll use them again in the future.

When my family and I were moving this week, I had everything planned out. Unfortunately my people dropped out at the last minute. I reached out to You Move Me and Celine was amazing in making sure I understood everything involved with the service and was able to add me to their current week's schedule.
On the day of the move Hayden, Saab, Jaba arrived on-site and were absolutely AMAZING. They professionally navigated through some unforeseen delays, they were very clear and communicative, but most importantly they were extremely friendly and an amazing crew to have worked with. When I experience my next move, I will personally request to have these guys again. They definitely make your move a less stressful experience.

Right from the beginning, the team there was very responsive and organized. The movers were friendly and professional. Highly recommend using them.

My moving experience with You Move Me, was terrible. The movers opened my totes and looked through my personal things. My picture frame was broken. They gave me a credit for it instead of fixing it themselves or sending someone out to repair it. Now I have to find a picture frame place to get this fixed. My tea bag glass container was broken. I called several times, left messages and didn't get a response. I will never use them again or refer them to anyone else.

Two Kevins, Derek and Muhammad were an amazing team of experienced movers. I would highly recommend.

Moving is intrinsically a sensitive business. People are not at their best when stressed over people moving their cherished antiques and things of sentimental value. You Move Me did a great job of it on all fronts. Josh was a great coordinator. But the Gold Medal goes to Mohamed and Saad for their strength, caution and absolutely great attitude every step of the way. Highly recommended.

You Move Me just gave us the worst moving experience ever!

They were late, didn't have tools to dismantle furniture and hence took more time on the job, didn't use carpet runners to protect the flooring while moving items.

They also lost some hardware for a portable wardrobe we had.

Lastly, the most expensive of them all, they damaged a cable for our expensive tempurpedic bed that caused our adjustable base to be activated by a motor.

In addition to all this, they stopped responding and haven't gotten back to us about the damages since we moved with them. We've moved a lot and this company was the worst to work with. Wouldn't recommend them at all!

Very professional and friendly movers (Josh & Derek). They were flexible and responsive, and arrived at the destination at the exact minute quoted to us days earlier! Made a hard move as easy and quick as possible. Very happy with your service and would recommend to all.

I would give them 6 stars if I could! I am so grateful for You Move Me for all the help during my move. Everything from the estimate call (even on a Sunday!) to the final signature was a breeze. Moving is stressful to say the least, but Tim and Zach were an absolute pleasure. They were kind, efficient, on time, and took great care with my belongings. Tim was the shift lead, and he really knew his stuff. He didn’t miss a beat instructing his team, making sure everything was wrapped probably, and never stopped working. Give these gents a raise!:) won’t use anyone else in the future.

They are very good at what they do. All of my stuff was securely moved. Some of the things couldn’t be boxed and I had them wrapped in paper, it didn’t bother them. They were able to hand pick individual item and place them securely in truck, unload them at my new apartment. Highly recommend them!

My movers (Kyle and Shamar) were professional, efficient, courteous and made a stressful experience smooth and anxiety free. They treated my belongings with care and consideration. I would definitely use them again.

The guys were incredibly responsive and moved a 3 story house in one day without any issues. We packed everything ourselves and had only one small breakage. That is much better than past moves. The guys were very careful about the walls and did no damage to either home. I would use them again

Today the You move me team of Brian, Derek, and Tim executed my move. They arrived in a timely manner and set my mind at ease with their readiness to work. What I appreciated was that they were very respectful with my processions during the packing stage. I'd recommend them.

We had a great experience. Brian, Arsh and Tyrese were super professional and put in a ton of effort to get us moved and settled into our new home.

Brian and Arsh were really nice and accommodating during our recent move! We had a lot more boxes and furniture than initially expected and they went above and beyond to make sure everything got transported in a timely manner, even though they were short staffed for the job. Moreover, due to our lack of planning and unforeseen circumstances we had to delay our move in time, and Brian and Arsh were very understanding and helped us figure out a gameplan so that we were still able to move into our new place. Thanks so much for helping us move and I would 100% recommend them!

Tim and Shamba were on time, polite and efficient at moving my things into the truck and with helping me dispose items into the dumpster area of our condo. My quote was within ball park. Tim is definitely a seasoned mover and was very professional. Movers are always different depending on the guys you get. I would highly suggest requesting for specific people for the move and I am recommending Tim.

We just finished our move with Vince, Jameel, Shamba and Rick. We have used You Move Me several teams and this team is the best we’ve ever worked with, and that’s saying something as we’ve always been pleased with YMM’s service. Their level of professionalism was outstanding and they were kind, courteous and great people to be with for the day. They remained positive and motivated even though the move took over 7 hours. YMM, don’t lose this team as they are literally the reason we’ll be a repeat customer.

We went with You Move Me for our 4 bedroom local house move. Was very pleased from the first discussion with Jimmy who explained everything well and provided clear estimate. Vince the lead, Isaac and Amiel beyond all our expectations - fully accommodating, gracious, polite, efficient, and knew exactly how to move what. They started at 8: 30 AM and finished at 8: 30 PM and took a 2 1/2 hour drive home after. Would recommend this company and use these guys again in a minute!

Would highly recommend YMM to anyone looking to make a move. We had a short distance move which was done in about 3hrs. The guys showed up right on time and got right to work. Everything was wrapped before being moved and it all showed up in the new place with no damage. Worth every penny!

These guys were great. Moved into our condo and they were able to hustle to accommodate our small window to use the service elevator. All of our stuff arrived in tact and the crew was super friendly!

You Move Me is a wonderful moving service that I have used 3 times now, and would recommend to anyone. They are quick, friendly, efficient and really great value!

They were late, they over charged. They said they would return my $250 deposit, after a month the bill is suddenly $250 more. They promised tv box, doily.none of those provided Please look for professional service this company is not good.

Moving can be stressful but it was it was really easier with the help of You Move Me! The estimate has been done with a virtual video phone call some weeks before the move. We needed a storage for 1 night as we were moving in 1 day after moving out and they were able to accommodate this service. Movers were right on time the 2 different days and were super professional and efficient. We definitely recommend the company!

We've done 2 large complex moves with this company in the past 5 years, and both times, the service was far over and above our expectations.

This was the second time (18-June-2021) that I used You Move Me to move the contents of my home. I was referred to the company by a satisfied customer and I've referred people to the company who have been thoroughly satisfied as well. On both occasions the movers were amazing, Jimmy who did the intake/quote was also great on both occasions.

Unfortunately, for this second move, they failed to let me know what they were now charging a fee for the movers to return to their office. Interestingly enough the first time I hired them (August 2020) in the same city, they did not charge a fee for the movers to return to their office. I don't have any issues with paying the costs associated with moving, however, like most people would expect an honest and true quoting process. Especially when a new fee has been added compared to the last time I hired them. Note that this $175 charged was in addition to the travel fee of $210 for a total of $385 Etobicoke-Oshawa round trip (~$3/km).

We have recently used You Moved Me to move from our townhouse to a condo. They were recommended by my daughter who had used their service before. Let us share our experience on this move! We were a bit nervous before the move, but this turned out to be extremely smooth and without any hassle. The team leader Vince called twice on the morning to confirm the move and they were on time. The group, Vince, Derek and John not only handled our furniture with care but were also very polite and easy to work with. All the furniture were wrapped carefully on the spot. Vince was very experience. We had a few very heavy gymn equipments, they handled them with out any problem. Couple of times the furniture got stuck at the doorway but Vince was able to carefully guide his members to manoeuvre and get out of those situations.

Our overall experience with this moving company was way over satisfaction. Their customer service was responsive; getting quote and confirmation; very accommodating when we were unable to book the elevator and had to change the moving date; the moving team was absolutely great.

As it was the long weekend, all of their trucks were booked. They offered to rent a van for a very nominal fee. The crew arrived on time and took great care to wrap the furniture.
Upon arrival they unloaded, unwrapped and removed all the garbage in an efficient and professional manner. I have used You Move Me for 3 moves now. I would not ever consider using another mover.

Movers professional, polite and worked quickly. It was a challenging move logistically, but they did it with minimal issues and lots of care. Not cheap, but the service was good value and the billing transparent. Would use again.
