Best take out korean food you can find! It’s authentic & truly home made.the portion is amazing & you can’t beat the price for what you get! The owner is really nice.it’s more of a family owned restaurant so wait can be a while when busy as it’s all made fresh.the wait is worth it!

Although the portion sizes are great, the service was extremely poor for a group willing to order a lot we got complaints about how we kept coming back to order and how we’d have to wait long even though we were willing to wait.hopefully customer service improves in the future

Wow so I stood there waiting for this person to take my order. He look up but didn’t take my order then a Korean kid just came up cut in front of me and he took his order.

First time ordering here, we got the japchae and the grilled beef dish. What good quantity and quality for the price. Authentic and delicious food, will come back for sure.

We have been going here for years. The Korean ribs are consistently the best we've ever had. The tofu is also perfectly spiced in a great sauce. The ingredients are always fresh and the portions are large. Worth the trip here!

Love this place! My brother introduced me to Yummy BBQ last weekend and we’ve been talking about this place ever since. It was busy at lunch and the man told us it would be a 30+ minute wait. Long story short, we came back for dinner. The craving was real. Shoutout to the father and wife that run this place. We will definitely be back!

EDIT: I used to really love this place. Changing my rating from 5 to 2 star. Food is great, but my business has been turned down 5 times in a row. I literally have eaten here twice more since I posted this photo 8 months ago. Each time the old man stating that they were too busy, followed by scoffing or shoo-ing me away. A lot of attitude for nothing. “Why wouldn’t you call? ” “Why would you come at 7pm? ” Lol. Man, I love the food here but it’s such a risk as it could prove to be a big waste of time. The other day, I tried bringing my younger cousins here and he again turned us away. It was 4pm on a Thursday. So we went to Grandone instead (the fried chicken place right beside). We ate indoors and proceeded to see him serve the next family that came. So I have no idea what this guy’s issue is. I suggest calling ahead if you still want to get the food. Hopefully they pick up.

Yummy Korean bqq, choice of spiciness and a touch of sweetness. Fluffy rice and banchan is a bonus considering the price.

This is the same restaurant that used to be near Yonge and College. I was so upset when they closed down, but to see that they have not changed their portions and quality of food makes me so happy. I highly recommend coming here and trying their short ribs.

They also have a lunch special if you are not phased by Korean sidedishes.

We needed to grab a quick meal and didn't realize this business was in a food court and we almost left. Don't come if you're expecting nice ambiance or table service. But if you're smart you'll stay and enjoy and amazing home style Korean food. The prices are comparable to restaurant prices so again, we were a little hesitant. When we got our food however, we were pleasantly surprised by how generous the portions were. Definitely more generous than many of the Korean places we've been to. In the pics I tried to capture the size of the containers of just the banchan alone - the height of them. You definitely don't get as much anywhere else. The japchae was filled. Actually every container was filled as you can see. Flavour was on point. 100% will be back when I get another hankering for Korean food because I know I'll get my money's worth.

Bang for buck best fast food korean joint you can get. If you need a quick pick me up id suggest this place. They have lunch special menu so its afford. Portion size is huge so you wont hate it.been reading reviews and they are saying food lacks flavor? Guess maybe if youre asking for high end quality but the taste matches the cost.

Stir fry beef - portion good for 2. Got it spicy and had a nice kick to it. Can’t wait to try more

I've been going to this restaurant for over 8+ years and always leave extremely happy. This has been run by the same grandma and grandpa that it opened with (over 70+ years old now). Literally only them two the lady is in the back cooking the food, and the man is at the front taking orders and running the the place. They are both very nice but there is a language barrier, but the service is always great.

After closing their restaurant on Yonge Street (which was extremely busy) they moved to a much smaller food court restaurant, but still make the same amazing BBQ COMBOS or YUMMY SPECIALS! This place is a gem in the rough and won't be around forever. It's a must try in a quite location, with lots of parking and seats to eat.

Your HOW TO order guide:

The place seems to be run by a husband and wife in their 70s. The duo gets insanely busy with Ubereat, Skipthedishes and in-person orders. Don't go and expect modern-day service. You have to go with patience and humility. Several times he said he can't serve me. I have told him I'll wait and he eventually comes around and takes my order. I've waited 45 mins sometimes.

What you should expect is amazing food with service from a different time, where we aren't always on our phone and in a rush.

You'll get the "no soup for you" experience, if you don't have patience

Enjoy the food while you can! Not do to lack of business, but these owners need to eventually take it easy.

This is hands down the best Korean place in toronto.

The owner may be a bit surly but it just adds to the experience. All you soft boys that complain about his demeanour need to grow some hair on your chest.

I am a loyal customer. This guy and his wife are amazing. I will never pass up an opportunity to buy from this place no matter the wait.

The cashier's uncle is very bad. He received the wrong money from us and threw my credit card. His son tried to stop the dispute with us, but he still didn't give up, and even abused his son in Korean! A terrible takeaway experience.

The food itself is quite good and the price is reasonable. The portions are big too. If you go through Uber Eats, this restaurant is quite good.

However, more of an issue arises when you try to order in-person or by calling. Every time I’ve gone to order by personally interacting with the older man at the front, he is rude and acts as if you’re annoying him by putting in an order or asking anything of him. He’s hung up on me on the phone a few times before and has yelled at me in-person for not ordering via phone call. It’s off-putting for customers to be treated like this and honestly does a disservice to the great food. If you do want to order from them, you might as well spend a few more bucks and order online to save yourself the hassle of having to go through “customer service”.

Wonderful original food there.its a take out joint what kind of service do u expect? Order and pick up. Always make sure u know what u are ordering before u call in, looks like old man is super busy multi-tasking.

The worst restaurant in the world, worst service, worst people, that senior Korean guy is the worst person I have seen in my life, rudeness and yell customers.

We agonised over the decision of putting this review up or not but after reading the other ones we thought we should.

This was definitely my worst take-out experience ever! We ordered four items for a total of 70$ish. The older gentleman (owner I assume…) handed over the machine for me to tap after he had input the amount. The machine read purchase and with the tab button below without displaying the amount. After I proceeded, the older man held up the print out from the machine that it was charged double and mumbled that I might have pressed on something wrong on the card machine. I calmly assured him that I didn’t, and that I tapped right away as he handed over the machine. I then asked to refund me cash as that would probably be a possible solution but the older man said they would not do cash refund. So we waited for another 15 minutes which he had done several tries on the machine to cancel the transaction but without any success. I asked how long I still need to wait as my 2-year-old was gone with my sister-in-law and it would soon be his bedtime. He suddenly got really agitated and yelled, “don’t rush me! ” I replied him that we were expected to be home soon and would prefer to know how long it might further take. Then he yelled at me in Korean and threw my card hard onto the table saying it’s my fault to input the wrong amount! My card landed right in the gap between his cashier and the wall and almost fell through which for sure I would not have a chance to retrieve. This rudeness was simply unacceptable. His son came out from the back to ask what had happened. I asked him if I could communicate to him directly instead of the old man since he was getting out of control. Then the old man took our food away, yelling something in Korean only for his son to bring it back out. Finally after another 30 minutes and numerous tries, which his son tried to help but the old man blatantly pushed him away, the transaction was finally cancelled. His son quietly told us that his dad is 70 years old already and this would not be the place for great customer service. Yet this is beyond just customer service; we were wrongly accused, rudely treated, and poorly served (our food would be colder than room temperature by the time we got home which was only 10 minutes away)

What we have experienced was undoubtedly unprofessional. Food was good but I would say use Ubereat to avoid the hassle of dealing with them directly.

Slaps. This place is one of the hidden gems of Korean take out food. Generous portions, great flavour, reasonably priced. You also get the authentic Korean dad vibes from the gentleman at the front counter. 10/10

Last place I would’ve expected to find the BEST KOREAN FOOD IN THE CITY!

NOT your average everyday Korean joint; everything is made with the upmost quality and care. You can tell the ingredients are all super fresh and all the dishes are loaded with vegetables. Portions are big and they don’t skimp on the meat; no paltry portions swimming in sauce here.

Yummy BBQ is now the ONLY place I order from. Such a big fan lol

The man who picks up the phone is the rudest customer service rep I have ever encountered. He basically put me on hold for twenty mins and came back just to hang up on me. I will not be visiting this place anytime soon. It’s a shame since they have decent food.

Really nice food and the portion is great. Side dishes coming with the foods are awesome too. The other Korean restaurants should visit here and taste what they make.

This little, nondescript, Korean restaurant in a food court churns out authentic and delicious dishes. The spicy bulgogi and kal bi are amazing.

Yummy Bbq Korean Food located at 16 Mallard Rd was issued a conditional pass on Oct. 27 for the following infractions:

- Fail to ensure equipment surface cleaned as necessary

- Fail to protect against harbouring of pests

I got the shortribs lunch combo. Beef was well marinated. Kimchi and tofu side dishes were excellent. Rice they give two scoops! Lots of food for great price

Hands down the best beef bulgogi in town. The beef has this awesome bbq aroma and very well seasoned. The portion is huge! Awesome homemade side dishes as well. The business is ran buy the cutest couple. Will definitely be back … very soon. Give this place a try, trust - it will not disappoint

Their food is A+. Just tried them on a whim the other day and definitely going back. Thanks to the lovely old couple for adding some extra side dishes for us.

My favorite BBQ restaurant. Their lunch menu is amazingly priced for the big portions of food you get. It's always super filling and the customer service and quality of the food never disappoints. I highly recommend anyone looking for a good meal to try this place. Even though I'm moving far away I will always stop by here whenever in the area, it's that good.

Order steam & fried dumpling while waiting for ice cream. Really glad that we try this place because the dumplings were really good. The owner is patience with me even tho I interrupt his meal time and couldn't decided nor see well with my old glasses. He took the time to ensure we order the right thing. Highly recommend coming here!

Good lunch special for BBQ ribs (kalbi), only $11 and you get like 3 whole pieces, decent flavour, not amazing, but you get a decent value for this. Two giant scoops of rice, I couldn't finish it all and saved it for dinner. Owner didn't speak English well and seemed to have trouble understanding my order, but it was ok.
