I have purchased today 2 savarins, which are unbeatable. Definitely experied, old product with a color and taste faraway from normal. Quality services in this store are questionable. Is anybody looking for outdated products, considering also the high price in this store? Very bad experience, anyway.
If you’re looking for great quality, food and good customer service this is definitely not the place for you. This place charges a premium price for their groceries which I never had a problem paying but now what are the economic times now we’re in this business has decided to remove, the expiry label from products and place them right next to products that are fresh without notifying the customers This is extremely deceptive and outright Ludacris for the prices that we are paying.
I just don't understand why the staff in bakery and deli are so rude. They will literally roll your eyes at you if you ask a question. Their demeanour makes you feel unwelcome, especially if you're not slavic-looking.
All the cashiers are nice and friendly, but the guy at the cashier today (Lev) was very rude. I hope the management will have a conversation with their employees
Excellent shop. Large selection of products. Everything is fresh. Good service. I would like to mention the cashier Leo, who works with a smile, helped to pack the goods, knows his job well. I also liked the girls from the meat department.
Mask cult. I kept saying I have asthma and don’t want to wear a mask they told me they don’t care and force me to wear one. Peoples lives don’t matter compared to your minimum wage jobs. Educate your employees that people can choose not to wear a mask if they have breathing problems based on the city regulations. Worst place to shop and I hope you close soon. Best wishes.
My absolute favorite grocery store, they have all the best home country deli and tasty treats options. I love the fact that they now also have gluten free cakes!
Love this grocery store! High quality eastern European fine foods. Wide variety of cheeses, deli meats, fish, pastries, fresh cooked foods etc. Yummy's is a foodies gold mine!
I have been the customer of this store for several years. Their prices are significantly higher than other stores and their customer service is very poor. For the second time I bought some black olives from them (4 packages this time) but when I opened 2 of them both were rotten. I returned 2 other unopened packages but the rude lady who were supposed to address my concerns did not listen to me and refused to refund me for the price of those two remaining packages which I did not open them and the production date was also not expired. The managers of this store need to train their staff to not be such a rude and insensitive to the customers if they care about the quality of their business. I will never return to this store and I left those packages for that rude customer service staff to take it home and share it with her family.
I bought a couple of things from Yummy Market went home just to see THEY ARE ALL EXPIRED. Went back to get a refund on my items and the customer service team there was rude ruthless and didn’t care what I had to say blaming me for not looking at the Expiration dates, but they didn’t blame them selfs for putting EXPIRED food on there selfs! This place is disgusting and will one day make someone sick!
Nice selection of sliced meats, baked goods, chocolates, etc. I come here to get my fix of perogies! They carry a large selection of frozen perogies that are much better than brands I've tried from other stores. They could do something to improve social distancing at the cash registers for check out.
I used to work in yummy market in bakery a year ago. It is the worst place to work.if you get hired there the older staffs treat you disrespectfully and even insult you.
Amaxing staff. Lots of choices. The staff found an item I was looking for and brought it to me. Very friendly. Lots of things you don't see in other grocery stores. Will go back again. Only downside was small packaging
Awesome European market with so many fantastic foods to find and discover. Has all the staples you would find in a typical grocery store and could easily shop here for big meals and smaller daily things, too.
As an ex employee of this filthy place (i use to work in the kitchen) I wouldn’t ever put nothing comes from this store to my mouth, they must paying the inspector to close his eyes, thee is no way this place can pass food inspection, pathetic
Used to be good market years ago.not anymore. Very rude and unfriendly staff, especially in the bakery area. Looks like they don't want to work at all, I am so polite and kind all the time, was not busy, not even 1 person there, I asked for pastries with politeness, kindness etc, like always lady made such face.like"what do you want from me? You still want anything? Etc. Horrible. Plus the pastries were very dry and not fresh from display, so pricey, $4.99 pastries, and not fresh. I always buy 12-15 pastries. Came from far and couldn't enjoy them at home. The main reason-the women work there, very unfriendly and rude, lazy and slow. Thank you.
Unfortunately, the stuff of Yummy market have been refused to help my friend who was not capable to wear a mask because of his long time suffering from asthma. Shame for their inhuman policy.
Giving one point because of rude behavior by a store´s seller against customer who couldn't wear a mask due to medical exemption. When he replied: he can't wear a mask because of risk of suffocation, she said: they will not serve him in a future. Very sad.
Nice and clean store with huge variety of Eastern Europe food and groceries. Everything we got was extremely delicious and staff was very helpful and nice.
We love cakes, sweets and the whole bakery section is just awesome. Thankfully yummy market isn’t that close to us, otherwise we would be stopping by every single day for pastries. The rest of their store has a very big variety of products. Sometimes so much that you spend too much time deciding what to buy. Do note that it is more expensive then other stores, but a very good experience anyway. And the store itself is always clean.
Their fresh bread is awesome! The only snag is that the don't slice it while it is hot. Couple times I they agreed to slice warm bread. Today it was pretty curt refusal. A little annoying.
Smaller version of their Major Mac location. Very clean and well run. They have an entire aisle dedicated to chocolate. It's impressive. Sometimes I visit the store with my kids just to buy chocolate. Check it out
An amazing selection of Eastern European delicacies. Prepared food (hot and cold), beautiful fresh produce, as well as a vast array of canned and pickled goodies.
It's a fine place, foods from every corner of the world, not just Russia, Ukraine, Israel and Eastern Europe that Russian food stores traditionally have. The staff are mostly nice and helpful, but they seem to be afraid to do or say anything that management might dislike, on a much bigger scale than any regular store. One of them told me they are watched all the time. Some of the staff have an attitude like those sales women the shoppers who grew up in the USSR will remember well.
Lot's of choices for Russian, Ukranian, Belaryssian food. They also cook and bake in house. Best to avoid going there during holidays - it's very crowded.
The food is great, the prices are reasonable and the staff are very nice. It does tend to get too crowded on weekends, but I guess that's means they know what they are doing. If you are into Russian food or would like to be served in Russian, this is the right place to go in North York.
Great selection of European food including Swedish specialty fish products not found elsewhere in Toronto. The food is always fresh and great quality but customer service is lacking if you don't speak Russian.
Delicious food and great quality products. However, staff should have been a bit more friendly with their customers. They act lately, like everyone owes them. Especially, women in sausages and meats section. Ridiculous.
This grocery stores offers an abundance of Russian food. Chefs work all day in the store cooking traditional Russian dishes and many of the groceries are imported from Russia. There is an in house bakery, deli, fishmonger and butcher.
Yummy Market has become a very popular grocery store which provides Russian food, however they also offer produce from different cultural and ethnic backgrounds. It is worth the trip to get some yummy goodies at the North York or Vaughn location.
Quite an impressive food store with a great variety of foods from around the world. As well as freshly created edible cooked, baked broiled etc foods to make an impressive meal. Eat them by yourself or invite quests they are amazing. And reasonably priced. In addition to my purchasing their products and eating them, I also impress visitors from out of town.
Lots of options of European groceries, relatively quick service, medium to high range of prices. Overall, definitely reccomend to visit, especially if you are looking for the taste of Eastern-European cuisine.
If you know T&T stores, this is the same idea for the Slavic. It's very interesting to visit as a tourist, tons of products, but much is aimed at and labelled for Russians. To others it's almost as foreign as a store in Moscow.
Nice place for European delights. Being Nigerian, it's great to be able to taste a little bit of the Eastern European and Central European food specialties. From hot food counter to their fresh baked goodies.
