Yummy Yummy

We stopped here for sushi while in Owen Sound. The sushi was amazing, fresh and tasty with lots of filling and less rice. The rice is well seasoned, and the tempura was crispy without being oily. The special rolls are gigantic compared to usual rolls in Ottawa or Toronto, very large portions. I actually ordered takeout from here a second time within a few days and it was also excellent. The inari sushi was delicious. Definitely worth a visit!

Edit: have been working in the hospital all week and have ordered from here numerous times now on Uber eats as well- they’ve kept us fed in the snow storm and everything has been delicious. The pepper beef is amazing and worth trying.

1 visit was enough for me a 2nd visit will not happen.

In your reply of the pop, I was not advised of this and the guests I saw were more adults so get large cups!

There was so many reasons I will never return and would not promote this restaurant.

My husband and I adored our first time going there! The chicken and shrimp ramen bowl was spectacular! Sooo Yummy, Delicious, Wow! My husband loved his general tao with plain rice! I tried some too and it was as Delicious as my ramen! The 2 salmon sushi i tried were a delicacy! Yum! The prices were a little expensive but it was worth it as the plate of general tao and my bowl were so big! The lady that took care of us was sooo sweet and her smile was contageous! Heh!
The place is beautiful! All decorated of japenese style murals and the seats and tables were clean and comfortable!

We will return for sure!

We came with a rowdy party on a fairly empty day. Having eaten at some other sushi places elsewhere, it's definitely not the greatest experience in the world, but the restaurant is in Owen sound, so it's understandable. Their ayce menu has a good amount of variety, and I liked their meat skewers and teriyaki options. Their udon was overcooked and the meat that came with it was breaking apart, but the rest of the food was reasonable. Their sushi had a high rice to fish ratio, which made it less enjoyable. I would suggest a menu change for multiple tiers of ayce, with a lower tier offering the regular menu items with a limited amount of sashimi, which allows them to offer a higher quality level of food, with more fish to rice, and a more expensive ayce tier with ayce sashimi. Service was reasonable as the waiters explained when the restaurant ran out of many sashimi options with our large group. I would have liked to see some kind of offered compensation when the restaurant ran out of items, whether it be a takeout sushi set or a small deduction on the bill. Overall, it was a reasonable experience for the only real sushi restaurant in Owen Sound.

“all you can eat” food takes forever to come and they limit what you can order so it’s not really all you can eat.

I have been eating here since reduced covid restrictions. I try to meet with friends for lunch once a month. Amazing food. Wish they had lunchtime portions. Their green curry shrimp (spicy) is so amazing I almost never order anything else.around $20 each.

Horrible service, rice was dry, seaweed super chewy. DO NOT RECOMMEND. Would never go here again.

First time here last week and the food was SO GOOD. Best sushi place I've been to. Not only do they have friendly and accomodating servers, the food was fresh and delicious.

Great place for a quick bite to eat. A lot of flavor in the dish. However the serving of rice was too small not even though for one person.

Yummy Yummy seems to be going downhill. It used to be great, but the last time we went the rice was kinda hard and the special roll we got was way too big, difficult to eat, and not that tasty. For the price, our experience was sub par.

I loved the sushi and the hot food! Their servers were so friendly, food was delicious and fresh, and their prices are so reasonable for the quality. I've been coming here for a year now and I've been recommending this place to everyone!

I recently ordered the party platter for takeout from Yummy Yummy Sushi Restaurant, and I have to say, it was fantastic! The platter was beautifully arranged, and the sushi was incredibly fresh and flavorful. Each piece was expertly crafted, and the variety of rolls satisfied everyone's tastes. The portion size was generous, making it perfect for sharing at a gathering. The convenience of the takeout service made it even more enjoyable. The food - we had ALL YOU CAN EAT - was very good. It was fresh, there was a good selection and it came relatively quickly. Even if we have reordered. We were regularly asked whether we would like more water or if we wanted ginger or wasabi. Ordering via the restaurant tablet worked without any problems. The restaurant could use a lick of paint, cozy is different, and the service was okay. Not unfriendly, but rather neutral. In Canada, you always expect a tip of 15-20% or are asked to tip it - no matter how good the service was at the end. It certainly wasn't the 'right' 15-20% here. But overall, the restaurant is definitely recommended.

Good sushi, nice and respectful staff and quick service. Definitely recommend if you are looking for good sushi in the area.

2023 review: by far some of the worst tasting sushi I've had in Ontario. Also some of the worst service I've had. The sushi is made incorrectly and taste like toothpaste. The rice and avocado were also poor quality. Take your service else where this place is awful now.

Old review 2019: Limiting lunch menu items but the price is good and services is good. Fast waiting time also, would recommend alone or in a group.

Place has gone downhill. 112.oo for dinner for 3 I don't think so. Service was deplorabe

If you have children, do NOT come here.
Waitress would constantly nag us to make our 1yo absolutely quiet, because the chef couldn’t “focus”

It’s insane how a restaurant can expect a baby to be absolutely quiet, when we are the paying customers and headphones are easily accessible for the “bothered” chef.

I will not be giving this restaurant anymore business and if you have children and plan on coming here, be prepared to be belittled by the staff over your kid being a kid.

Most items are fresh. AYCE sushi is very expensive. The price goes even higher on weekends/holidays but the menu does not change.

As others have said and as the name implies. This place is awesome. The service is always prompt and the food is always worth more than what you pay.

All you can eat sushi for lunch is a recipe for desk naps at whatever Friday afternoon 3 pm meeting you’re unfortunately taking part in - but it’s worth it, trust me.

100% recommend Yummy Yummy sushi.

The food is always great and the service is excellent. The all you can eat has a good variety of sushi and hot dish items.

Food was good and they were nice but there menu did not have honest prices for dinning in and it took us half an hour to figure out what the price really was.

Take out seems to be good though.

I split all of the above with a date. Everything was top notch. Miso Soup, Edamame, Sweet potato Tempura, Salmon Sushi, Wakame Salad, Spicy salmon Maki, Vegetable dragon roll (Sweet potato, avocado), Sweet potato Maki, Avocado Inari. Deep fried banana. Would highly recommend.

Food has always been great. Ordered via Skip the Dishes on May 14/23 and paid. Time estimate was 60 mins for delivery. After an hour and a half of waiting, Skip the Dishes cancelled our order. Ruined Mothers Day dinner. Reordered and picked it up ourselves, 2 and a half hours after the order was first placed.

I would give them 10 stars if I could. Yummy yummy is truly somewhere special. The food is great but the staff are our favourite! They are so kind and have been a go to spot for us that they get so exited to see our kids and how big they got! They even know my order and bring it to me (spider roll no avocado lol).

If you ever are looking for somewhere that has great food and genuinely friendly people this is the spot!
