Thank you for the good management of Saffron restaurant, who made a great night for us and we enjoyed very delicious food.

I love the zaffron bread. It's really my best snack in Canada sofar, a good break from the sweet snacks

My family and I visited Zaffron on Saturday, food and service (Farzad did a great job) were just great. This was not our 1st visit and definitely won't be our last. We visit Zaffron every time we are in Canada from US. The only suggestion I have is to fresh the place up a little bit, like paint. Keep up the good work and will be back soon. Thank you!

Very Rude waiter. There was one guy at the front and he was extremely rude and felt insulting.

Food is to die for! Portions are good too. Price is slightly on the high end, but it is not too bad.

Something I found quite scummy hence the 4 star, my table asked for water and we strangly received bottled water. And we were charged extra! The bottled water was super expensive BTW.

The food koobideh very smelly.it doesn't cook properly.very expensive food for the lowest quality.never again.

We had a party and we ordered baghali polo and kobideh, which were packed in the best way and althoug our house is far from the restaurant, the food stayed warm.food was delicious, Mr. Tinoosh who is manager of restaurant was very friendly and helpful, all staff were kind and respectful, It was a good experience for us and I recommend it highly.

I used to order from this restaurant from Uber eats. But lately my order is incomplete, or missed ingredients in one dish. The last drop was the last time when they cancelled my order without notifying because on of the dishes in the order was sold out. I found through the app 40 minutes later. Food is OK to medium lately so not ordering from them again. Talked to the manager and only got lame excuses.

Food was really good! However, service could be better. We specifically asked if our dishes came with basmati rice since it was written on top of the menu and our server confirmed that rice IS included with the nan and kebab. Food came and there was no rice, turns out, only bread was included.

Second, my friends order 3 ginger ale and asked for the canned ones but our server gave us 2 bottled ones and 1 canned ginger ale. But it’s ok, she changed it after we asked her to.

Third, we asked if we could get split bills based on our orders but our server gave us one bill and just divided everything equally into 6. We wanted split bills because we each had different orders with different prices and some even ordered drinks while some did not. When she came back the second time, the bills she gave us didn’t have the correct orders per person. Only one of our friend was correct so he already paid his. After this, we just asked if we could get one whole bill and we’ll just manually compute our bills ourselves but they had to deduct our friend’s bill from our bill since he already paid for his. The third time we got our bill, they added a gratuity fee (which was not included originally in our first bill!) Our server never mentioned any gratuity fee to us and what’s worse is that the gratuity fee was based on the individual bills she gave us before. So we had to pay 6 gratuity fees in total on top of our original bill.

Would come back maybe for take out, but definitely won’t be dining again because of the service. Maybe server was new, but hopefully she’ll be better next time.

Pros: Chicken and kebabs were well-cooked and tender. Accompanying sauces were delicious.
Cons: Restaurant was not clean, chairs were rickety. Only one server, who was slow and not efficient. There was a small dead cockroach in the bowl with the brown sugar packets. Utterly disgusting.
Will never go there again.

Disappointed. We’ve been customers for years. But lately the food quality isn’t simply there. Never order again. Kebob was dry, too salty and cold. They didn’t bother to grill the tomato, just burnt it a little. Never mind the missing salad and not for the first time. For a $45 meal they should at least chose quality ingredients! Disrespectful!

I've been here many times. The food San service are excellent. The restaurant has a very nice and cozy atmosphere, we sat by the fireplace. Great restaurant!

I got fesenjoon, no cutlery for takeout! I got a low appetite, but there was not enough rice for an adult person! I've never seen this in any Persian restaurants. The worst part was the extra oil, looks like after finishing the cooking someone just pour the oil into the stew.

Do yourself a favour and visit this lovely restaurant. This restaurant is great. The service is unmatched. The staff and manager are really friendly. They truly care about your experience. Specifically, you can tell making the customers happy is their main priority. The food is absolutely amazing, and for their prices, it’s 100% worth it. All in all, highly recommend it.

Tonight, we went to Saffron to have a night out on Christmas eve. Our great experience started as we stepped in and warmly greeted by one of the staff, while she led us to a table near the fireplace. Soon we were served a basket full of freshly baked bread. We also ordered a dish of Zeitoon Parvarde as the starter, which I must admit was the best of its kind. As the main dish, we ordered Koobideh and Kebab Torsh. The Koobideh was very tasty and juicy, and Kebab Torsh was richly marinated in pomegranate juice. We’ve been in many Persian restaurants, but the food we offered in Saffron was by far one of the best among all. The quality of the service also was as high as the quality of the food. The other thing that touched us, was that the manager, personally came to our table and while giving us a warm welcome, asked us about the overall quality. All in all, everything was excellent, staff, service and food. We will definitely go to Saffron again and strongly recommend the same to everyone.

This place has a special place in my heart.
First of the first for me. The kabobs are decent and the atmosphere and interior is magical.
We went there it was only 2 of us and it was magical.
The food is great and you definitely will enjoy some quality time here.

Good restaurant or take out. Excellent location, parking, seating. Rice portions should be larger, tadig should always be included but sometimes is not.

Their restaurant is becoming old and raggedy, needs new paint and repairs all over. Also the food was good, but very expensive

I have a very bad experience with this restaurant, especially since I had a guest, the waiter's behavior was very rude. While she was still taking orders, she was talking and joking with other colleagues and left the order halfway. The quality of the food was extremely low and bad. The kebab was almost uncooked and cold.

This restaurant used to be a good one long time ago, however we have tried their food lately, unfortunately it’s extremely dry and taste like old food. Also the customer service is absolutely horrible and I really do miss the old environment and people.
Not recommend at all.

Zaffron is my always first choice! I always take my important persian guests there. Cause of the high quality of meals specially Kebabs and good service.
I just wish the owners try to improve the interior design and decoration. Such a renovation will make it the best in every aspect!

Unfortunately this restaurant has completely deteriorated! The food was quite bland in comparison to when we srated going 12+ years ago service was awful, the whole place is dirty and falling apart. Food used to be great as well as service but now to automatically charge me 15% gratuity on terrible service really angers me.

Unfortunately it get much worse than before, really frustrating about food quality and customer service, when I called them about it, it was look like their providing services in small town in iran, in Canada the customer services is the first duty.
I have to change my 3star to one.

Great service but good not great

They consistently have some of the freshest, tastiest Persian food around. Their food is made with passion and care, which surprisingly enough they have maintained throughout the years, which is hard to say for other restaurants throughout the years.
I've tried many Persian restaurants in the GTA and GVA and I'd have to say Zaffron is truly one of my top 5, or maybe even the best.

Test of brag was dreadful. Smelled and tasted weird, presentation is outdated, the man behind the counter is extremely poor communicating and aggressive.
Time for this place is ticking.and soon will be over if complete change not turning this place upside down. People see the reason you run the business is not passion. Its just money

This restaurant is excellent. I am very picky with my food and I can say after dining here twice that the quality and flavours are wonderful. Everything tasted fresh and homemade. The vaziri dish was one of the best ones I have had (meat was very tender, no grizzly bits, very flavourful). Staff were polite and attentive, service was quick (Sunday night). I highly recommend this restaurant and will be back again for sure.

Listed as Halal while selling Beer and Wine. See the attached menu photo. How is this possible to trust someone who does not care about God’s order not to drink wine and care to purchase halal meat. Shame on you lier.

I used to love this place. The quality of the food was great and tasty until tonight.
Kabab torsh and Tahdig used to be my favourite food here.
Tonight I ordered “Tahdig” and since the Tahding was not on the Uber menu I called and confirmed with them that what should I do. They instructed me to add gheime and as a note indicating that instead of rice, add Tahdig which I did.
After some time they called me to say that this food is sold out and they can provide regular gheime which I did not want it! The whole point of ordering this food was that Tahdig, not the gheyme. And I wanted to show the food for the first time to someone that's why I insisted to have Tahding. Anyway. I told them to cancel my order and a kind gentleman did his best to do that but he said he can't do it from his side. Neither I can't do it from mine since the food was on the way on the Uber menu.
After some discussion, a lady took the phone and in a not really nice way tried to convince me that this was my mistake and I should not have ordered Tahdig as a note for ghime!
Anyway. In the end, I tried to end the conversation by accepting the gheime!

Again. Before receiving my food, I did not want to write this here and complain about it BUT after receiving the food:
1) they forgot to give me the Pop which I ordered.
2) the side for the food was poor in contrast with their usual attitude
3) typically in gheime there are some pieces of meat not JUST 2 very very small cuts.

I am spending So much time writing this not because I want to damage you with my negative comment but because I used to love this place! They always provided me with a great quality of food. Great sides and often kind notes with smiley face back in almost a year ago.
I am so disappointed about tonight.
I hope this will never happen to anyone else cuz you guys used to be very very good.

I'm always looking out for genuine wood oven pizza. When searching my area, I came across Zaffron's website that states "Wood Oven Pizza & Exclusive and delicious wood oven pizza". So I was happy to try Zaffron for the first time. BIG DISAPPOINTMENT. From my experience, these pizza's never saw the inside of a wood burning oven. I called the restaurant and told the person who answered the phone that these pizza's didn't smell, resemble nor taste like they were baked in a wood burning oven. His immediate response was, "oh yes they were" and I said "I don't think so". He then put me on hold and another person picked up and I repeated my complaint to him and he said that it's hard to get wood in the winter time and that if I wanted wood oven pizza, I should have requested it. I told him that your website only specifies "wood oven pizza" and no other type. The gentleman offered no apology, or compensation and rushed to end my call. These pizza's were awful.

Sorry for venting, but I don't think I'll be returning to Zaffron, as I've been duped.

I’m very sorry to disgust you by this picture. But this how the quality in this place looks like. I called the restaurant to inform them about the issue but unfortunately they couldn’t care less.

My family and I have been ordering take-out (both directly and through UberEat) from this restaurant since Covid started. The food has always been fresh and tasty, the orders have always been accurate and portions are quite generous. They also do an amazing job of meticulously packaging the food (in easy-to-reheat containers for leftovers).

We have not dined in-person here since the pandemic stated but prior to Covid-19, the service was always friendly and the staff/management went above and beyond to accommodate us.

I would definitely recommend this establishment - and their Mirza Ghasemi (the eggplant-based appetizer) in particular!

I hope the amount paid today is equal in your eyes to all the visits that would have been. We popped our tire on our way to get our take out order and had to get towed which we didn't know how long that would take. We were told smugly over the phone by the lady we have 2 options, pay with our credit card or get there now. On top of the stress of popping a tire and waiting for a tow truck we had to now worry about getting our food. Atrocious. Money isn't everything! You need to have your customers happy. It will get you a lot further. I am Persian and live in the area and will never give this restaurant another shot.

Food was amazing as usual, service was great, we had a very good time after a long lockdown!

I did not satisfied with their service. It take 30 min to bring our bill after 3 time asking us what did we order! They also did not clean the table properly after we finished.

That was my first time at this restaurant. I had kebab which was amazing and tasty. Everything was perfect.will be back definitely.

We've been dining at Zaffron for over two decades and don't recall a bad experience ever! Consistently wonderful food, great atmosphere and ambience and friendly and attentive team. What else can one wish for! Love this place!

Best kabobs in North York. Not overly spiced. The texture of the meats are all cooked to perfection and melt in your mouth.

Worst place ever to try Persian food.small portion, bad taste and expensive! Wish I could give zero stars.they charged me $8 for 1 Skewer of Koobide alone! It is 3.5-4$, I called and complained the manager never got back to me.so very cheap and zero costumer service satisfaction

I have been there couple of times, quality of food is not as good as before, the building is old, customer service is not good.

The food at Zaffron is always fantastic and the service always fast and friendly. The portions are sizeable and there's always enough for lunch the next day. My family has been ordering from Zaffron for years and will continue to do so:)

This is a very high end restaurant among other Iranian ones in Toronto. Their prices and quality of food reflects this. However we had a very bad takeout experience recently (New Years eve 2021) with them. I love to support local business during the pandemic so decided to get food from this place. They gave us such a small portion for two peoples order which was barely enough for one person, while we paid 2-3x what other competitors charge. In addition we paid them tip even though we picked up the order ourself (as opposed to Uber delivery) to show our support. When we found out about this issue at home I called the restaurant to provide my feedback but they just brushed it off and got defensive and said they always had such portions. Instead of apologizing or offering to deliver us more food they said maybe next time they can offer us something. Clearly businesses like them don’t value their customers. I would never order from them again and neither should you. There are plenty other good Iranian restaurants in the area to choose from.

Used to be a very good restaurant, but now it offers an average food, very high prices, small portions, and low quality customer service.

If there was -10 star rating available, I wouldn’t hesitate to give it to this place and the owner.
We were invited to a birth day party in June of last year, outside temperature was 34 with high humidity and inside was hotter and it seemed the HVAC was not working. I went to the front desk and asked them to do something for it. The owner came and start yelling instead of apologizing. It was so embarrassing and I couldn’t leave since it was my friend’s birth day otherwise I would leave such a…. Place with such a …… owner.

It's good but you really have to pick the times you go cuz the chef was different and the food was off.it's a hit and miss. You and ur luck

Amazing taste. Their Vaziri Kabob, was spot on. Their meat was tender and the rice on point (healthy amounts of saffron). The price, just like most Iranian/Persian places, is $$.

On Friday and Saturday night, they have a live music, if you want to order 2 meals with appetizers, it costs approximately 70$, their food quality is 7 from 10:)

I went to the restaurant after a while with such a high hope as my first experience was amazing a few years ago. I ordered a medium well steak. It took almost half an hour which was not that bad, but I got a well cooked steak instead with bunch of fries and almost burnt mushrooms. The food was not appealing at all and I didn't like it a bit. It came the pay time and I mentioned it to our server that the food was not satisfying at any regard. He agreed and said their steak chef does not work certain nights and that he was embarrassed to serve me the dish! The annoying part was he actually charged us the full amount! I don't believe I would be going back or recommend the place to anyone.

Food and service both are high quality, a little pricey, in a small private setting. They have DJ and a singer on weekends only, with a small dance floor.

This place should be in a joke. Called to book dinner for 6 for new years eve. Asked if we needed a reservation the person that answered said yes, so we gave them our info, book for 7pm. We get there at 6: 55 the person said you are early we don't start until 7: 30, than askes for the name for the reservation and says we don't have a reservation but if you want we can squeeze you in for $100 per person. When asked why we were not told this the day before the answer was you did not ask you should know this is new years eve. ARE YOU SERIOUS? I SHOULD HAVE ASKED OR IS IT YOU AND DUMB STAFF THAT SHOULD HAVE TOLD US WHEN WE CALLED TO MAKE THE RESERVATION.

DO NOT USE THIS PLACE THEIR ATTITUDE STINKS.

We went there for Yalda night! First of all they didn’t have even one table with Yalda decoration! The food was terrible and was served in buffet, people had to line up table by table! Some under cooked pasta with bland pasta sauce was also one of the options of “persian yalda experience!
Terrible food, over priced drinks made a terrible evening, the only thing good on this resturant was the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff.if you’re looking for authentic persian cuisines, you must look elsewhere, this aint it.

Absolutely horrible experience.the food was low quality, shameful represantation of Persian food. The atmosphere was also not ideal, as the restaurant itself was a mess and management was extremely rude. If you want to taste the real persian cuisine, I would advise you go elsewhere as neither the food, nor the service are pleasant here.

Food is great, but lacks in service, opposite to the quality food they serve its understaffed takes a while for someone to get to you

Yalda night service was awful! Low food quality and no Yalda decoration. The servants were very polite though! Will never go there again. Response to Admin: after your rude reply (which you edited later with another rude response) I should mention some points here: First, I never appreciated that low quality junk. Second, you should learn that you are in customer service business and should apologize for any inconvenience. This much rudness will work against your business! Here is not Chaaleh Meidoon! My opinion about the Singer's profession is deleted because of her respectful personality.

This is one of my fav Persian kebab restaurants. 65% of the food items are delicious. I have had ones that I did not like that much, like their Weekend Haleem or Ash-reshte. Their tahdig dish is my favorite. Most of the kebabs are good too. The staff are nice and polite with plenty of seating space. Washrooms are also clean.

We are sorry and we hope you have a better experience next time in Zaffron or wherever you choose to go. As you could see it was a full house night and the dance floor was packed all throughout the evening. My first time at this Persian restaurant. We were late by a few moments but we were allowed in. Charmed by gracious host and the lovely food.

Place feels like an old European restaurant. More function over form. Sort bland looking, but good lord the food was good. My wife had the Cornish hen pieces, and I had the Torsh steak. When I say it was great. I mean I would have probably paid nearly double for that steak next time. The flavour was unreal. Fresh, citrusee, and a nice char on it. Only possible thing is it was medium, don't don't be fooled it was crazy tender. Honestly, that was one of the best steaks I've ever had in my life. And I love my steak.

The Cornish hen was very good too. But let me say it again. THAT TORSH STEAK THOUGH!

The restaurant decor is pleasant with good open seating arrangement and free parking. The staff and service is also great. The Middle Eastern (Iranian) food is really yummy. I believe they also have live music in evenings. All good.

Nice place and atmosphere but it was quite hot as the AC did not seem to be functioning properly especially it was very hot and humid the day we visited. The food tasted fine but I found it a bit expensive for what it offers. It is worth a try though. The staff is nice and friendly.

The entertainment was very nice. The place is more aiming for middle Eastern food and music. The meals were very good. I would say order the garlic bread very delicious. Make sure to check the meat to see if raw one of my chicken breast was raw probably because of being placed to the side of the fire.

Timely and polite service, with phenomenal food. Comforting bread and rice, with tender, juicy, succulent meat, and a varied choice of appetisers. Can personally recommend the bademjan kebab (slow roasted aubergine) and vaziri kebab (1 chicken breast, 1 beef skewers)

Portion sizes were ample

Way overpriced for the quality, garden salad was old and did not smell/taste good at all, had to throw it away completely.

Food and service is good! They need to accommodate the entrance for people with disability or stroller!
