Zees Grill

The atmosphere was a little dull but the service was nice.
The food taste was average

We had dinner with my wife last night, Saturday. My wife had the Scallops and Shrimp risotto and I had the Arctic Char. The meal was delicious.

We love Zee's. Good food. Attentive staff. Local wines. Close to Shaw. The menu is varied, from Ahi tuna to traditional roast beef.

Visited in August 2023 and really enjoyed ourselves. Sat outside with an excellent view of the street and it was perfect. Sean was very helpful and the steak was excellent. Blueberry Custard Tart was fantastic! We will certainly return next time we are in town.

Disappointing. Food very average, service below average, some food was cold when we got it. Drinks meh. Interior decor is really strange: African masks on the wall, weird lighting, artwork bizarre, mission chairs, the bench upholstered seating has several large gaping holes in it. Very overpriced for what you get.

Had a lovely brunch there. The potato galette is awesome. Was very amused by the sign that announced that the ladies' washroom was voted "Canada's best restroom" in 2014.

The restauran5 was dirty with food on the floor. I received a complementary long black hair in my food and was still required to pay for it. Gross

We had a great anniversary dinner here last night. It’s was a perfect relaxed Sunday evening. The food was probably the best we’ve had. My husband had the prime rib special which was huge! He didn’t even make a dent and so moist. I had the short rib which was fall off the bone amazing. Olga our server was great too! Thank you!

Amazing tenderloin! They cook it just right. The service was also really great along with the drink menu which has a variety of local wines and cocktails. I would come here again!

We had a lovely evening here on the beautiful veranda! We shared a bottle of wine, the calamari, and dessert. Everything was delicious. Our server, Sean, was so kind! We'll certainly come back soon:)

Place was recommended to us. Food/Everything was good but not excellent. Concierge was the highlight.

Fantastic Food! We actually only ended up eating here as the restaurant we planned on eating in had closed early. Both myself and my wife agreed that it was the best meal we had in a very long time. Great service, the waitress went the extra mile with our little girl also and was very accommodating. The restaurant was also really busy and everything was still brilliant. Not the cheapest but well worth it. Highly recommended.

Dinner was top notch from start to finish. Friendly service, great ambiance, playful cocktails, delicious wine, and mouth-watering food. Will definitely return.

I had the lamb shank and it was absolutely delicious. Highly recommend. My cosmopolitan was a bit watery though as it was swimming in ice.

Three of us dined in on the long weekend for a quiet birthday celebration. The steak was excellent as were the sides with the steak but both pork dishes were disappointing. The wine list was very limited. The worse part of the experience at this restaurant was our waitress. I identified my wine choice as the "top option in the Pinot Noir list" as I had forgotten the name. She replied in a very rude manner, "Which list? We have lots of lists". She had only given us one list. When she brought the wine, she poured the glass then said, "who will be tasting? " I was the host at the table, I ordered the wine therefor, I would be tasting. To make matters worse, there was a couple at the next table with two completely out-of-control children who were throwing a ball between them in a very rough manner between the tables. The parents did nothing to exercise control of there progeny and neither did the wait staff. Management let this behavior continue for several minutes before they spoke to the adults and stopped the rough play.
This was a birthday celebration for one of my guests so I did not want to create a scene but you can be sure we will not be visiting this restaurant again.

Little gem for breakfast at the heart of Niagara-on-the-Lake! (*secret tsk*They have a "breakfast special" not necessarily shown on the breakfast menu presented on site, you'll have to ask.) Eggs nicely cooked to overeasy as I asked, cripsy bacon done perfectly without being brittle and decent coffee (refillable). Our server Hanna was attentive, warm and friendly. Sitting at Al Fresco setting enjoying a nice hearty breakfast at phenomenal price and a beautiful tranquil view in the morning.what's not to like?

Food was good. We ended here after a day of wine tasting. The pairings were also good. Our waitress Kim was very friendly and helpful. Had the jalapeño potato soup which was really good. Steak was also good and cooked the way I asked.

Edited for May 2023: Zee's wowed us yet again on our return trip and dare I say, the food was even better than before. I called to make a reservation ahead of time and requested to be seated with Kim-it had been four years since our last visit but we knew she would be the best! Everything was wonderful, from the food to the atmosphere, but especially the service. Kim provided fabulous advice on wine pairings with our entrees as well as the same bubbly warmth that we remembered from our last trip. The short rib (a few changes from last time, but even better!) was so tender that a knife was completely unnecessary, and my husband had the tenderloin which was the best either of us have ever had. We couldn't decide between a dessert martini or an actual dessert, so we got both. We each had an Up All Night (their variation of an espresso martini), he had the chocolate lava cake, and I had the lemon blueberry tart. All was wonderful! We will make sure that we come to Zee's every time we visit NOTL. It's seriously that good.

(Original, May 2019) My husband and I visited Niagara-On-The-Lake for our first time at the end of May. I booked the trip as a weekend getaway and we stayed in Niagara Falls itself, but spent our first day in NOTL. I made a reservation for dinner at Zee's and everything was wonderful, especially our server, Kim. Kim made excellent suggestions (shout out to the braised short rib, it was fabulous), and her warm personality and service made us feel welcome. She provided some other recommendations for us in the area as we are from the US. Each course that we had was delicious and we left very full and satisfied. We are already planning a return trip, hopefully this August, and we would love to dine with Kim again.

Quaint restaurant in the heart of Niagara on the Lake, across the street from the Shaw theatre. We shared a delicious Ceasar salad, had hamburgers with fries they were good and 1/2 litre of Cabernet Sauvignon wine for lunch.

Our meal at Zee's was part of a Christmas present (+ tickets to see Gypsy after dinner). I want to say that my dinner was the best restaurant meal I've ever had. It was delicious and everything was perfect. Even the sorbet.and I generally don't like raspberries!

Food was fantastic and service was just as good from our server Laura! Will be back again.
