The food always fresh thanks other stores not so much and your prices are reasonable thanks for that and the people always helpful and your stores are always clean
Okay their bakery was unbelievable the cream horns, canoli freshly filled and the mini cheese cake wowzers I AM IMPRESSED! Fantastic pricing and A+ CUSTOMER SERVICE
What is the best part of shopping at this Zehrs. Its seeing that lovely Zehrs employee, Karie Delarosbil. Her beautiful smile and positive attitude make it easier to spend a small fortune at Zehrs.
This is a good Zehrs, large and well laid out. Their fresh counters are always well stocked. I like that they have a floral department, and usually their Flash Food selection is abundant.
Staff is great and so amazing to our kids when we visit. Love the renos they are putting in place and always find fresh produce, great selection of products and fresh bakery items.
This store offers a pretty good selection and quality produce. Unfortunately, the added frills of cart corrals and the occasional grocery packer don't warrant the dramatically higher prices. Add in the fact that they no longer offer cash back, referring customers to a PC ATM with additional fees instead, makes Zehrs no longer worth using. Customers don't appreciate being nickle and dimed.
Every week I shop here and just about every week there are no fresh salads ready and available. If you ask the very unfriendly person behind the counter, they bark that what's out is it. Meanwhile they are preparing fresh ones as you speak to them. It annoys me every week and makes me question buying them at all.
Somewhat overpriced given the quality of goods. Strawberries grew mold within three days of purchase. Warning, Ziggy's brand of smoked meat is so salty that it's virtually inedible! Their assortment of prepared dinners is not as extensive as Metro's. On the plus side, the store is clean and well organized. In addition, they have a large selection of better quality fresh meat and pharmaceutical items.
What ever happened to customer service! One Customer in the line on the phone so I go to a empty cash! I have to take my groceries off because the one customer is on the phone! So I go to the next empty cash! I put my groceries on table and told I can’t! Their all waiting for the GUY on the PHONE! If you want customers to make a single line you need A Clerk to keep people of the phone! I’m tired of being told what I can or can’t do! Retail thinks COVID gives them the right to give orders! I’m an essential worker too! What happened to customer service?
Food prepared and made in store is not fresh-their chicken and pork ribs were very disappointing. The meat was hard extremely dry. Other than that it's an okay store with friendly employees.
This location is consistently been going downhill for ages. Prices very high (have found prices higher here than the other nearby Zehrs locations). Have found so many expired/spoiled foods on shelf, and a couple times unknowingly purchased expired foods. Frequently understaffed, long lines when it's not really busy because only one checkout open. Sometimes self checkout is only option. Only shop here out of desperation.
Went there at 18: 18 Pm on June 3rd 2021. I wanted to get some Kabasa spicy sausages from the deli counter. The lady that works there had a very irritated tone and to top it off she just threw the sausages on the table. I just got a very negative vibe from her and was just shocked by her behavior that I didn’t say anything. It kind of made me leave with a knot in my stomach. I probably will think twice before I will shop here again.
The older lady working self scan looked absolutely miserable and didn't acknowledge any customers so while I left I said "thanks so much have a nice day "and she didn't say a word.
Very bad experience with Zehrs Hespeler flower shop. Apparently there are the only Zehrs flower shop that delivers in the area. We called yesterday to send a Hydrangea pot to my mom-in-law for Mother’s Day. Well, the person who took the order kept getting names and numbers wrong. Finally, the order was done and we thought everything would be fine until the delivery today or tomorrow Friday. My mom-in-law called us YESTERDAY, the day we ordered, about 3 hours after we ordered, to ask us if we had sent her flowers. Apparently, the flower shop could not read the delivery address and they called her to confirm the address! Well surprise blown, I called the shop to complain and talked to the manager. He apologized and gave a discount. Well, today, my mom-in-law got her flowers but NO CARDS SAYING WHO IT WAS FROM AND WHY! After the shop had already messed up the order, the least they could have done is make sure the rest would go smoothly. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS FLOWER SHOP TO ANYONE, SPECIALLY AT BUSY HOLIDAY TIMES.
Used to buy roasted chicken after work sometimes, each and every time I buy combo with fries, fries are always too dark-colored and when you bite them it's like wooden sticks, I guess it takes too much of an effort to replace the greasy oil that's probably sitting there for days maybe weeks.and not over-fry them (like the fryer doesn't have a timer, or perhaps when the timer goes off, the cook let them sit inside until finished with his messenger conversation).
Always good stuff here.just so expensive. Came in for a few items I couldn't find anywhere else and they had them, which is a huge plus. Staff seemed happy which was great to see and hear.
I've been doing all online orders lately. I was delayed picking up one day and the PC Express staff member stayed late to ensure I got my order. Very impressed with that extra service.
Try and get out of this store when it times to pay! Barely anyone in the store last night and they line you up down the middle of the store like children. 35 mins later after standing 6 feet plus apart from people you have already bumped into shopping you finally get to pay. Makes 0 sense at all. If operating like a sobeys none of these people would have been in the store still. Paranoid covid nonsense stuff really helps bulking people together and wasting peoples time.
One of the larger Zhers in cambridge. Deli. Hot deli, LCBO, beer, bakery and more. Huge srlection of products and brands. Store is clean and organized usually.

One of the best run grocery stores that I go to. The staff are friendly and helpful. Manager is present and you see him walking around the store engaged and helping staff and customers. Store is layed out well and items are easy to locate. Vegetables are fresh and there are always protein selections on sale.
This is my hometown Zehrs. It is the most local, a bit smaller than some of the others, but the one that I will usually go to shop. Stock is decent and you can usually expect friendly service. I would recommend this grocery store for most things on your list.
Has a run down look, typical lacking of customer service. When you find or see staff they're either taking with a coworker, or have a lost look, or trying to look busy do they don't have to really provide value
This is by far the third best (of three) Zehrs stores in Cambridge. Some of their staff is very friendly, but the regularly run out of products and the selection is poor compared to other stores. The click and collect here is brutal compared to other stores as employees park in the designated spots to force people through the pickup lane (which is sometimes blocked off by other cars). Not to mention the signage for the process outside is very misleading as to the steps one should take. So far, a bunch of "whatever", but today when we did an order through click and collect we got an e-mail that there were 7 things not available and there weren't substitutions. That is 7 items out of 25, and incredible 28% of our order! I had to drive to another store across town which really defeats the purpose of this service! Not the first time we've had problems with our order there. I avoid this location when at all possible now.
I order from Click & Collect which is supposed to be super convenient. The Zehrs I used to go to near my old house was amazing so I figured when I moved I would try this one since it’s much closer to my new house. I’ve used the service twice now and both times had purchased a substantial amount of groceries that were a few hundred dollars. The first order I had, which is not the reason for this rating, went like this: I arrived, called the number and informed them I was there and was told she’d be right out, waited 20 minutes and still nobody showed up, called back & found out that the person who said they were coming clocked out and left and didn’t tell anyone I was there, finally get my order, get home and start putting things away only to find that a bunch of things in my order were passed expiry and/or mouldy. They handled this interaction really well and the manager I spoke with was amazing! So I figured I’d give it another shot and when I get there and the girls helping me are great so I’m thinking my order is going to be much better than last time, realize there was a few extra things in my cart which I gave back and was told I would be credited in the next few days (still so far so good). Here’s where it all goes wrong: I get home and find that multiple items were substituted which was never advised to me when I got the call that my order was ready (they had confirmed some of the substitutions on that call, but not nearly as many as were actually subbed), almost all the produce was mouldy, half the meat in the order was so bad that the smell was coming through the plastic (the beef roast I received was whiter than my chicken breasts). So I call the store to speak to someone about this and nobody answers - fine, I leave a voicemail and send an email through their app. A couple days later and still no call back so I call again - same deal: no answer leave a voicemail. Repeat this process again a few days later. 2 weeks later I get an email that a manager should call me within 2 business days. It’s been well over a month and still no call, no resolution, not even an acknowledgement that they messed up. So to sum up, I had to throw out half of my order and go get new groceries from a different store and nobody here can be bothered to even say sorry that you wasted your money or acknowledge that they apparently stock expired products regularly.
One star is unfortunately the lowest rating I'm allowed to give. Food was expired in the boxes or opened and half taken out. When I asked the employee questions he was very rude and decided to answer his phone instead and walked away.
The bakery section need better serving staff. Lazy students don’t want to really work. If you are asking to make a cake. Go to another location. The bakery staff likes to hide back there so they don’t have to do much
