I went to both the Dollarama stores, Walmart, and dollar tree in Owen Sound and none of them had the type of Kit Kat bar that I wanted.

I had given up hope at this point and decided I'd try one last store. The Owen Sound Zehrs. As I wandered over to the candy isle like Gollum from Lord of The Rings in my loincloth I thought to myself "Galen Weston Jr, please take pity on me. All I want is to eat my Kit Kat with caramel fondant and a glass of milk to wash it down. " Upon arrival to the candy isle I was met with shock and aw, they did in fact have the Kit Kat bar I was looking for. The cherry on top was that they even had a sale!

I'm usually not a supporter of price gouging the consumers when it comes to groceries; however, Galen Weston Jr, if price gouging the poor means the Kit Kat bars I want will be in stock then by all means, gouge those single moms with kids trying to make ends meet.

Overall good. Good staff. Prices are a little high but fruit seems to last longer when purchased from here compared to Walmart or giant tiger.

Usually have good luck with grocery pick up orders but lately been getting phone calls saying there running behind, this has happened probably 5 times now. I would recommend to whoever runs this department to figure this problem out, if your under staffed don’t book so many pick ups? , this wouldn’t be a big deal if we lived in Owen sound, usually we don’t get the call until after we already left to get the groceries. Today we’re 2.5 hrs behind and still don’t know when there going to be done, another cancelled ordered ….

Great store, like the prepared food section the most, bright and spacious feel, huge selection, friendly staff.

Nicely kept store. Always well stocked. Produce section is always fresh. Meat section is clean. Staff are generally friendly. Having the store open until 10: 00 pm would be helpful.

A tad more expensive but better quality on veggies than some other places. Used to enjoy deli chicken but recipe or supplier change seem to reduce flavour and size of pieces. Seems hit and miss. Great variety of fresh salad and gread deals on fresh fish from time to time.

Why did you cut your hours, staffing cannot be the issue as now you have 6 self checkouts, I wish it was parent and late worker friendly still, please bring back the normal. Late hours to 11pm please!

Excellent service. They took care of my order and loaded my purchases in my truck because I was not able to. Very pleasant employees.

Quality is decent, prices are on the high end but the specials can be good. They don't accept Amex for some reason

Good produce and meat selection, cashier checkout is busy most of the time especially on weekends, but most of the cashiers are very pleasant and helpful.

Today (unlike most times I've been there) chicken tenders from the chicken counter were 2/3 bread coating - hardly any chicken. Pass them up until they fix this problem, unless you like a little chicken with your bread.
Update May 27 2021. There have been ups and downs with the curbside pick but it's generally been going downhill the last 6 months until tonight when I would give negative 5 stars if I could.
My order was to be ready to pick up at 8pm. I get a message its a few minutes late. As I was waiting for my dinner and having to drive to Toronto right after I opted to go at 8pm and wait. I called to let them know I was outside waiting and was informed there were only 2 items remaining, couple of minutes right, wrong. At 845 pm I get a message saying I could pick up my order at 8pm? I get this guy come out and tell me that my chicken tenders which was my dinner was not available but there was a different tender available. I passed. So my salad and my tenders were missing. So out comes a girl with an arm load of chicken to make up for the fact that my chicken breasts WERE ALSO MISSING. So after waiting hours to pick up my dinner and order, 1 hour in the Parking lot, I have nothing and have to go to a fast food restaurant to get my meal. The WORST SERVICE EVER.
EDIT January 21 2022 - someone ate the wings off my chicken breasts - and it wasn't me?

Protect your infants! My baby girl was taken by people who were supposed to be registered practitioners. My first born! I wouldn't wish this pain on anyone!

We have started using this store regularly for it's good products and service.still the best around.

Unfortunately, the President Choice pop shelf has been empty for a over a week. However, they do have a hidden palate with 2 dozen on it.

Tills were slow and were kept being asked to use self checkouts
If nobody using self checkouts why not open more tills and employ people like your customers want!

Enjoy tonight meats are always a waste of money. Stock can be low for many of. Sale items and certain produce. Still the best option.

Except for some customers, this is an amazing place to shop. There's a phone store inside and an LCBO nearby too if you're looking for drinks.

Unfortunately for we grocery shop mostly on Sunday and on Sunday at this store the produce section is very bare. I'm afraid we don't go to this store as much as we used to.

Better covid practice than the independent in Port Elgin for the carts, but Walmart is way better than both of the grocery stores.

Pretty pricey for food but they have good options when it comes to natural food alternatives such as soy, almond milk etc.

We do the click and collect often, and normally have a very good experience.the clerk's have no trouble assisting me loading my groceries in the back seat of my one truck or behind the seat in my Ranchero, but today the box boy was quite rude about putting the groceries in the box of my truck. Said he couldn't touch my "car" because of covid. Well, I have terrible arthritis and I said it wasn't a problem before. So off he goes, slams open the tailgate, loads my groceries, slams the tailgate and scampers away without even a thank you or good day. Very rude! And we got shorted the pop. I don't drink the stuff but hubby does! With the absolutely no contact of him putting the groceries in my truck, I thought it was quite odd his refusal!

Very clean they didn't have some of the stuff I was looking for but the staff was friendly and helpful.

Meat is fantastic here, I use to love the cannoli from the bakery but now it’s always stale or soft, doesn’t matter what time of day you go just doesn’t seem to be as fresh or have the crunch like it use too

I love shopping at Zehrs. Always have. Therefore, this review is unique to the times we live in due to covid-19 pandemic and our world new "normal".

I no longer shop at the Zehrs deli, meat, prepared foods and any other made in store product.

Since some of the restrictions were lifted NONE of the servers wear masks. This is very concerning. The serves talk to the customers while serving them (saliva can go onto our food) ; the servers talk to each other while serving or just working.

Please make it mandatory to ALL SERVERS to wear a mask.

Just because the restrictions have been lifted it doesn't mean we are safe. THIS CONCERNS EVERYONE.

Covid-19 is not over yet. WEAR A MASK FOR YOURS AND OURS SAFETY.

Nicely laid out store with a good selection of meat, seafood and produce plus packaged items. Reasonable prices. Wheelchair accessible with ample parking. Friendly staff. COVID-19 rules require a lineup to check out but staff handle it well but some patrons didn't during my visit.

This is the store that I go to in order to order my son's birthday cakes. They have always been available and ready for pick up as ordered. I especially want to thank Gord in the bakery department for going out of his way to chase down my husband to ensure that he didn't leave the store without our 'Happy Birthday" picks for the cake. Thank you Gord! My son will appreciate your effort and your kindness.

I once was looking for Carnation thick cream. The gentleman gave me a free litre of whipping cream to try instead. It didn't end up working, but he searched all over before doing this. He went above and beyond!

Was looking for an item and was just told flat out no that they didnt have it even though the next store over said they did.

This is a wonderful store with very friendly staff. Visited this place often during the pandemic times. Despite the tough times they were on their toes and seldom ran out of stock on important and essential items. Staff was cooperative and also the precautions taken to prevent spread of covid were incredible. Great job by the Zehrs team. Highly recommended.

Passed by to buy a quick lunch on my trip to Tobermorie. Very tidy store, well organized and friendly employees!

Staff is super nice and helpful. Hot chicken section is always top notch. Don’t pay attention to the negative reviews. Honestly they are just trying to do their job and why should they care about negative reviews when it’s management’s responsibility? $5 chicken is amazing

This rating applies only to the produce department. Despite my wife's numerous complaints to head office regarding rotten, moldy and sometimes shriveled up produce available for purchase, nothing ever seems to change. Much better, fresher produce available at No Frills, Walmart and Food Basics.
The rest of the store would be worth a 4 star rating.

As travelers, it was our first time in this chain of stores.seems to have a good selection, spacious, helpful staff.we will definitely go back.

Zehrs seems to have some areas of concern when I go there. I don't know if it is management, but often their stock of produce is not great and I get the feeling that the moral is not good. Sometimes it is ok but often leaves much to be desired. I keep going back though because it is convenient and I like PC products.

The hot deli often doesn't acknowledge your existence if they are busy restocking something. A simple "we'll be with you in just a moment" would go a long way, considering the average wait time is 10-20 minutes during peak hours.

Went to the hot Deli today was extremely disheartening to find out that they had no wedges no hot sides to go with their chicken dinners and they weren't making any more if it hadn't been 6: 30 on a Saturday night I might have been more understanding

Can generally get everything I need, still pricey. The produce used to be the best in town but is now hard to find much that isn't already bruised or starting to turn.

This is not where I usually shop. It is a big store and it can be hard to find what you need. It is a bit more expensive but they have a lot from which to choose. Nice garden centre.

I have been here twice and both times the produce was always old and about to expire and the prices more expensive.

The advantage of this location is it closes at 11pm.

The store is clean and staff are great, however many things are over priced. The salads don't last long at all, they go bad fast.

Always has the best produce. Great delight, seafood and butcher departments. More expensive than most other grocery stores.

Biggest grocery store in O. S. The produce isn’t always great. You have to shop in the morning to get your choice of stuff or else everything gets picked over. Small town so everyone wants what you need.
