I will be using John Zinati again for future transactions as I liked how they were transparent and had a clear breakdown of the quote. The only this that wasn’t included in the quote was the connecting council fee as part of the Title Insurance but that is only a minor amount. Mike Stavrakis did a great job with the virtual interview, Lynnette with the handling of the file and Jonathan Mak from the initial quote to closing the deal. Zinati firm helped me close my house. As a first time homebuyer, I am glad that I have picked Zinati firm. Leroy, the associate that dealt with my file directly was organized, on-time and processed my home properly. Would recommend.

As soon as the deal is done, their customer service is non existence. We closed on a house and initially the lawyer forgot to put in the new home buyers rebate. It has been almost 2 weeks now and can't get a hold of them or my money. Impossible to work with them.

Réal Estate - Well, before sale to signing documents it went well otherwise once we moved in and found a few thing’s broken hidden and other not properly fixed that was mentioned in our contract the service went lacking to none! For this reason I do not recommend this firm for the purchase of your home! We been dealing with Carolyn and it’s been a month now! We are extremely upset we will have to purchase a new front door and a pump! If a lawyer cannot provide services after sale to honour your contract then what is the point of a lawyer firm?

Amazing people, very patient, highly knowledgeable and saved me from a very bad situation at the last moment.

Where do I start?

It has been a rollercoaster ride getting through the sale of my home and I have never thought of the importance of having a good lawyer until recently.

The ZinatiKay team has been a Godsend in my 'complicated' sale transaction and without them, it definitely would have been a disaster. Should I paint the picture, well of course this is what this review is all about, so come along with me for the ride:

I was ready to put my house on sale early February as we are closing in on the closing of my new house. My real estate agent who I have known forever, had an unfortunate health scare which put me at a disadvantage mid negotiations. But I am not one to turn my back on someone that I consider a friend.

Despite this, we had a buyer ready to lock in within 5 days, pretty standard during that time, but still remarkable when I think of all the hard years in that house but I digress. I am on cloud 9, my house is about to close, my new home will be ready within 90 days at a price that I could have only dreamed of. But then, the nightmare begins.with one inspection.

The report comes back and some plumbing needs to be done right now, with some quick thinking and some luck I am able to find someone but that's over $2000, I pay it begrudgingly but that's the price you pay. Just when I think it's over, fast forward; the buyer wants to renege on the deal altogether.

At this point, my agent can only do so much, like I said health concerns. Then Carolyn from ZinatiKay jumps in, the rest is a blur but to keep a long story short, I could have been one of the many sob stories of homeowners who had buyers back out of a deal and be left holding the bag, plastered all over the internet.

Carolyn from ZinatiKay showed professionalism, constant communication and made herself available, given the situation.

I could not recommend them enough. I would do business with them again in a heartbeat.

John and Eva handled my condo sale, but after my repeated requests over a month later I still have received no statement of account.
I had to move lawyers away from them for my subsequent purchase. I reached out nearer to completion date to check progress to be told they had no knowledge of my file!
Both RBC and my Realtors confirm contact with them and having given them all paperwork.
Zero confidence in this firm, no way Id trust them with such a vital life transaction.

This is our 6th time using Zinati Kay for our real estate closings. This Firm is not only incredible from a customer service perspective but also PERFECT at execution. The service is fine. But then this firm advertises itself as a fixed cost service provider ($999 for real estate buying). And they provide the initial
quotation too in that range only and in fact they even warn against other firms that they mark up the fees later by adding costs for stationary, wire-transfer etc.
But surprisingly they did the same thing. The final cost came to be about $1600 for me, that's 50% more than the quotation. Although their fine print did say that there could be some additional costs towards the end, but then what's the point in calling yourself a fixed cost provider, when you are doing the same thing as other firms (i.e. Quote less and charge more). They did however send me back $150 when I pointed this out, that's why they get the extra star. But it would have been a couple more extra stars in the review had they been completely transparent with their costs from the beginning.

Amazing experience with Zinati Kay. They made purchasing our first property easy and seamless. Any time we had questions John was available and spent the time to explain. Would absolutely recommend to anyone looking to purchase a property!
