21 Breakwater Restaurant

Impossible de manger sans réservation, nous a conseillé un autre lieu complètement inapproprié! Pas sympa.

We stopped in for supper last evening not realizing that we needed reservations. Driving from prince county, we were really looking forward to trying out this restaurant, even though we didn’t make reservations, they accept our party of four. The food was exquisite! Two of us had the burger and two had the Portugal fish. Service was beyond great.as was the food. We will definitely make the drive again …it was well worth it.

If I could give this restaurant 10 stars I would! The chef is outstanding, the servers are fantastic, the owners are friendly, the prices are good, the atmosphere is cozy and the view is unbeatable. My husband Ian and I are very sad its for sale.
Note: wrt the negative reviews, it's super unfortunate when people tarnish a good restaurant's reputation by leaving reveiws without even tasting the food. One should not draw negative conclusions based on impressions without facts, or ego driven emotions. You have no idea why you've been requested to wear a mask or why they are unable to serve you that evening.

Beautiful atmosphere, our host was on top of her game, she was able to answer any of our questions. There was a beautiful view of the harbor, and our food was amazing, the fish wasn't deep fried, which was a wonderful change.

One of the nicest dining options in Souris, with a beautiful view of the ferry terminal and surrounding harbor! We went on a cooler day so we were seated inside, however they do have some seating outdoors on the covered patio if you'd like to relax with a drink in the shade. The interior of the restaurant is tastefully decorated and very open (which can result in it becoming a bit noisy when large groups are visiting), though pretty much every seat inside can get a good view out of the large ocean-facing windows.

If you can get a reservation in advance, I'd recommend it as this place can get pretty busy in the evenings. Give it a try when you're in the area, as the restaurant is for sale and it's unclear if they will continue to have their delicious menu or not if/when new owners take it over.

Pedro has outdone himself yet again. We missed the Saturday evening feature (sold out) however the salmon / shrimp was incredible Don't get me started on the sticky date pudding! If you are thinking about dining here pick up that phone and make a reservation!

We stopped here on a whim, looked like a cute dining place with an amazing view of the harbour. But we were left speechless, and very happy.

If your in souris, heck if your in pei make the trip here.

I lived in Calgary 17yrs and never have I had such good food and the deserts should be illegal I had to try 2 of them lol

The hostess told us this place is for sale, I really hope whatever buys it will take the time to learn from the previous owner. But I also selfishly hope he doesn’t sell it this year lol

We will be back several times this summer, love exploring and finding hidden gems like this.

Great staff the cook did great with the fries he lightly salted the fries which was perfect unlike McDonald's who drowns their fries in salt

I hosted a function at 21 Breakwater and they did an amazing job. From the wonderful service by Lela to the fabulous food by Pedro and his team, everything was above expectation, thank you!
