This place was really cool! Smaller than I had anticipated but we still braved the downpour

A nice chance to go back in time, and also get some great connections to the Anne of Green Gables stories. The people working here were very helpful and did a wonderful job.

Super disappointing. $9 per adult for a tiny self-guided museum with minimal information. I didn’t know much about Anne of Green Gables before I went, and I do not feel like I learned much. Best part, according to my son, was the cat outside.

The gift shop is nice, as expected souvenirs from China but the house tour and the so called buggy ride is a huge money grab. Rude and pushy ride organizer said she could only do a five minute ride and charged us total of 18.00 for 2 adults 2 kids. We went around the driveway for a total of 90 seconds. I said that was ridiculous and unbelievable so she refunded my money. How could she even think that was okay in the first place. I was embarrassed to bring my family to this place. Way over priced for not much. Does a disservice to the “Anne of Green Gables” I think

Quite interesting both from the author interest and the historical nature of the museum. It is not overly large and you could probably see it all comfortably in an hour. The whispering walk through the trees worth the time too.

Always something new to learn about the crazy life of LM Montgomery at all 3 of her residences

Well my wife wanted (even threatened me harm if I didn’t) to go and we did. I’m unfamiliar with the history but she absolutely loved it. Watching her in awe and joy made me happy to oblige. I really enjoyed the nature walks and admiring the heritage that is contained. A gift shop and food on premises makes it a great outing. Washrooms on site as well. Plenty of park and friendly staff. Glad to have hopped on in and learned about the history of this iconic book/series.

This is definitely a tourist trap. Go to the Anne of Green Gables Heritage site instead! The house, Haunted Woods, etc are all at the Heritage site.

This is a museum about Lucy Maud Montgomery and not dedicated to Anne of Green Gables. There is an Anne of Green Gables store onsite.

The museum is run by the great grandchildren of Lucy Maud Montgomery's cousins. Lucy spent a lot of time there and was married in the front room.

The Lake of Shining Waters is close by as well. The museum itself is fairly small and costs $8/person. You probably only need about 10-15 mins to tour it.

The owner of the museum is an extremely kind gentleman.

Unfortunately, we did not get to do the carriage ride due to the wind. They do offer a tractor pull at the same cost if the weather is bad. It is $110 for half an hour and $175 for an hour.

Great little museum. The lady at the front is very knowledgeable about the history of the house. The surroundings is beautiful.
There is a $7 entry fee.

Absolutely adorable. The super nice Japanese lady told us about the story, before we could check out the treasures left behind and displayed so lovingly in the house.very interesting and beautiful. It was a great pleasure to visit and we enjoyed it very much. We also met Jill the cat and my friend was able to even hold her. So beautiful. I took many photos, but for some reason it won't allow me to download more.

I love Anne of Green Gables, so this was a MUST for us to go in PEI. I was in awe of everything I saw there. I really enjoyed the museum and seeing the history behind the books. It is so worth going to. Highly recommended!

Eventhough we did not end up buying anything at the gift shop, Gia was very friendly and helpful in giving us directions to the Anne Store where we can find the limited edition of Anne of Green Gables book.

Dame blonde au muséum désagréable, qui nous chasse de la propriété avec insistence, et sur un ton malpoli! Nous ne reviendrons pas

It was the kids first trip to PEI! They loved going through the home, they read every plaque! I love Wood Stoves, what a beaut! Been 20 years since I've been there. Great Day Trip!

Great history of Montgomery the author. But cashier was rough around the edges and didn’t like us questioning the difference with heritage museum

I would recommend going here if you're a very big fan of the author. Personally, I was just interested to see where "Anne" was from, and this wasn't that. Misleading name in my opinion, still a cute little museum with nice staff.

Lovely historic place worth a visit! Lovely house and grounds. We wish the tour would've included the entire house and not just a 30 second spiel next to the cash register.

If you're looking for the actual house used for the movie, it's not here. It was filmed in an entirely different part of Canada. There is, however, a well preserved home/ museum that the author fancied.

Great place to visit while in PEI. It gives you a descriptive idea of what life was for Lucy M Montgomery, and how she got inspired to write her beautiful novel.

I would call this Lucy Montgomery museum. Cute artefacts of hers and her family. Not much reference to Anne. Good thing it's not expensive.

This is a great museum. So many interesting facts. The hosts are kind and friendly, always willing to talk about the history here.

The horse and carriage ride was outstanding. It takes you completely into another time and place.

A must see for Island visitors.

A lovely place with friendly staff, pretty relaxing without the crowds. It's not the most accessible place but the staff were very good about letting us pull up to the back of the house to unload my wheelchair. The only issue we really had was that the chair got stuck on the gravel walk leading to the craft shop ramp. The carriage ride was absolutely lovely!

Wow! I took my wife too be here today and we both had the best time of our lives today! We definitely coming back next year!

Best places for literature fans who want to know more about Lucy Montgomery. This is a must visit for people who know about the world famous Anne of Green Gables story. The museum also has nice trails for a stroll in summer.

Such a lovely place to visit. The carriage ride was stunning with must see views! So peaceful and breathtaking. The museum displays Montgomery’s room and some belongings. Very nice.

My family and I loved our visit here. It was the most amazing experience. Beautiful location, super interesting museum. I would love to be able to go again someday!

Loved seeing the museum, one of the female staff was very aggressive towards patrons, specifically children. That took away from the experience

We truly enjoyed our visit to the Anne of Green Gables Museum and it was extremely interesting to see the parlor where Lucy Maud Montgomery was married and to read some of the letters she had written to others and to learn more about her personal life. In one of her letters she spoke about not having enough money to hire a nurse and she thought she was losing her mind. She also stated that fame did not bring riches and it was shocking to learn that she died with very little money. It was heartbreaking to think that she was never financially rewarded for her incredible talent while she was alive.

The house contains several items that are mentioned in The Anne of Green Gables books, including the Enchanted Bookcase. There are also a lot of pictures of Lucy Montgomery’s family members, which gives one a sense of her family history, which was also very interesting.

The outlying grounds were also beautiful and the gift shop was very nice also. The staff was wonderful to us and helped us with our 90 year old mother who has mobility issues and we appreciated their help.

Overall it was a truly wonderful experience and I would highly recommend it to others who are Anne of Green Gables fans and interested in the life of Lucy Maud Montgomery!

This is where Lucy M Montgomery wrote Anne la maison pignon vert. It is not Anne of green gable. Nice to see the old book, rooms.
