Avonlea Village

Beautiful scenic village. Most shops are closed after summer. Green Gables gift shop has so many cool souvenirs for Anne of Green Gables fans

A bit of a let down. We went expecting to be further immersed in the world of Anne of Green Gables, but we're dismayed to find a shopping area and a few restaurants. Not worth the stop unless you are souvenir shopping.

Cute little village. But our timing wasn't great as many of the shops closed down a few days earlier for the season. I am sure it a great place during peak season. But a little disappointed that they didn't even have limited hours and were simply closed.

Most of the places was already shut when we got there seeing that it was already end of season for most tourist places. Nice place to take pictures.

Beautiful little village. The Pubs were open and a Gift shop. Coming back to Cavendish next summer before Labour day next year. I didn't realize alot of shops close after the Labour day holiday in Cavendish. But this little village will be at the top of my list of must see/visit for sure.

Very clean fun place to visit very busy from June through till the end of August best time to go visit is September October

It's cute to walk through but generally just an outdoor food court. There is a large outdoor music stage for concerts and festivals that are held there.

We ate at the turkey tavern. What a great gem they have there. Super wonderful staff and an owner with such a positive attitude. Rene was one of the best servers we have ever has. Took care of us from start to finish. Food was fantastic and the Biscuits stole the show. We will be back.

Overrated, in my opinion. If you want ice-cream, visit the Cow's Creamery over on the boardwalk.

Great little spot for lunch. Lots of different options and picnic tables in between so everyone can eat what they want.

Great way too have a bunch of restaurants and shops and make it feel like an old village. We enjoyed the ice cream

I gave it four not because it wasn't well done, but because it was more about food, ice cream and souvenirs than it was about a re-creation of Avonlea.

As someone who grew up loving visits to Avonlea, don’t visit. It’s shamefully bad with what it’s become. I’m beyond disappointed that what used to be a historic village of the fictional town is now only chain restaurants and stores. It feels like it’s become only about capitalism and lost all of the magic of preserving the story of Anne of Green Gables. The old buildings seem to be removed entirely or replaced by newer more modern buildings. I’m absolutely appalled that it has turned so far from its original purpose and vision. I’m praying that Parks Canada takes over this site like they did with the Green Gables house site and that they save this destination and turn it into a preservation of the iconic PEI stories. Here’s my tip: skip Avonlea entirely. Go down the road to the Green Gables house and tour that instead. It will be much more worth your time.

Super cute clean little ‘village’ with amazing shops and restaurants. We went for supper on a rainy Saturday night and there was almost nobody around. We went to Piatto Pizza (no wait, delicious), Anne’s Chocolates (yum!) and Cow’s ice cream (no wait). Wish we could have seen more but I believe they were closing at 8pm. Would like to try some of the other restaurants here, best selection in one place.

This is truly the best place to eat in Cavendish.

There is a good variety of different places, for all tastes, and the number keeps growing.

Samuels is definitely the best for breakfast. Cows ice cream place is a must have. Boom burger, pizza places, new turkey dinner place, Italian restaurant - even our picky daughter can find something she likes there.

And all that with a cozy spirit of lovely PEI places. Great staff everywhere, very clean and tasty. Recommended

A hamburger shop in Avonlea Village, commonly known as BB Burger, is 100% beef from Prince Edward Island and is very delicious
The garnish of the island's potato fries is also a specialty of the island, so it's very delicious (^-^) v
After putting all the ordered items in a paper bag, they will put a bonus potato in it! ️
