BarVela Pizzeria & Mercato

Really good pizza! We ordered on our way and they said it would be about 45 minutes but when we got there 25 minutes later it was ready. There were picnic tables around with a couple checkers boards, Jenga, ring toss and bean bag toss. It's in a nice area close enough to see the water in the distance. The pizza is really good. I would recommend the Barca. One is plenty per person and you might walk away with leftovers. There are a few drink options too.

Ate here today and it was AMAZING. I could tell just by looking at the man who made it that the pizza was gonna be good, and I was correct. Everything from the sauce, meat, cheese, vegetables, and crust was so flavourful and absolutely divine. Do yourself a favour and stop by!

We were a group of 15 cyclists and arrived 20 minutes before opening, chef was picking basil from the garden. We really didn’t know what to expect - I mean after all it is on a small road in a corner of PEI. Whatever expectations we had, they were BLOWN away. The pizza was fantastic, a great crispy crust, with just enough burn bubbles, fresh toppings - all the pizzas were good, we were 15 so we ordered at least 1 of everything.
You can visit the lighthouse and the glass village, must sees, but BarVela is a must for lunch when in PEI. And the owners are great! Friendly and enthusiastic and accommodating.
Would cycle the 50 km from Charlottetown against the wind again for this pizza.

Hands down best pizza I’ve had in years! Top notch quality, incredible taste, super cute and welcoming atmosphere, and the owners are two of the best people you’ll ever meet!

Very good pizza. TOPS for PEI. If you very hungry you can eat a whole pizza. Or share one with your buddy. 2 pizzas will feed 3 people very well.

My wife and I were recently on vacation in PEI we fell upon this incredible pizzeria. Totally exceeded our expectations with the pizzas. The toppings we had were super fresh and the dough was sweet and chewy done just right. We're definitely going to head back to this pizzeria when we return to Prince Edward Island for our next vacation.
