By The Bay Family Restaurant

This place was recommended to us by the owners of the cottages we stayed at. The food was decent, and the service was prompt. We ordered the bacon cheeseburger and the hot turkey sandwich. Both came with fries. Overall decent meal.

Because there were very little options open for dinner, we got a pizza to go. Again, it was decent.

OKay.so not a bad place. It's a combination Take-out/Drive-Out/Eat-in restaurant. It's clean & the staff are pleasant. Service is quick; maybe 20 minutes from seating to eating.

It's not fancy. 50's/60's diner appeal. There is a more formal dining room.but it was closed.

Now, whether by mistake, ordering issues what have you, their claimed "Best Fish & Chips on the North Shore" could not be verified because they "ran out" of fish (there were two types on the menu, but both weren't available. Fair enough; errors happen.and our server was quite apologetic.

The fallback was their Lobster Roll Platter. It was okay, but not the most flavourful lobster.odd since Prince Edward Island is just ramping up their lobster season.

We've been on the Island for 4 days and most everywhere was serving fresh handcut French fries.somehow we received "crinkle cut" which, although not bad, were certainly nowhere near piping hot (despite the only part of the dish that required heat), and were reminiscent of frozen, bagged fries.

Coleslaw is coleslaw.but not very brilliant in colour or flavour.

$41.00 for two Lobster Roll Platters and a canned soda.probably about $10 overpriced BUT the Cavendish Beach area hasn't quite opened up for the season so accommodations & dining is extremely limited.

Have ordered from here quite alot. Only have done take outs. Burgers are good. Lost one star because difficult to get through on the phone on many occasions. Testament to the good food though.

Great spot for a family meal at reasonable prices. Their fish and chips are good and Frederico’s Pizza is delicious!

It's a nice cosy restaurant. We drove down from Charlottetown. Had a nice cup of hot refreshing coffee. Prices are very competitive. The service was excellent. Overall a pleasant experience.

Only thing we have tried here are their "second bisuness" is their pizza and garlic fingers. Not a fan of their bacon or honestly their garlic fingers but the pizza was super delicious and from the few times we tried seem to produce consistency in quality. I would recommend a try and decent prices.especially living out that way and majority of other restaurants are cloesed for the season.

What an outstanding cute spot. One of the only places opened and their food was absolutely amazing. Came out burning hot and tasted very good. Friendly staff!

It was one of the few places that was open at the time.
Unfortunately the 4+ star rating does not reflect the food quality.
The service was nice but the food was lacking in flavour and quality.

We are from Halifax and we’re looking for a homemade meal. We took a chance on this restaurant and it was the best choice. The food was awesome and our server (did not get her name unfortunately) however she was the best server we have ever had Her personality was fantastic and we felt like we were there be of the family. I highly recommend this place We went two times before returning home and when we visit again we will be back. Thank you for the wonderful meals

Delicious food! Had their calzone, garlic fingers and the burger platter. Everything was delicious! Pizza was incredible, will definitely come back

Vraiement un excellent resto familiale. La nourriture est super et les prix sont des plus raisonnables et concurrentiels. Beaucoup d'achalandage mais ça vaut la peine d'être patient et de faire le détour à cet endroit

Good food, good service, my kids enjoyed what they got. I had a great burger. Fish & chips are baked, not deep fried (to me that's a knock against). Great price/value overall

Good food, good service. Very polite employees and not afraid to crack a few jokes! Had the steak sandwich and was just as expected for any restaurant.

Food was good and portions are large. We were hoping for seafood or clam chowder but it wasn't on the menu.

Basic breakfast at a good price. Just what you'd expect from a small place in rural PEI. Fast, friendly service.

Unpretentious little Family Diner. Basically the only game in town off-season. They do a nice breakfast.

Did a drive up the coast to take in the spectacular views of the red cliffs and the ocean. Since it is off season many restaurants and shops are closed but found this place open. Glad they had options besides seafood since I do not touch the stuff. My child takes after me so I am glad he enjoyed his pizza. Thank you for the great food and friendly service.
