Canadas Best Value Inn & Suites Charlottetown

Really soild space for the price. Little kitchenette area with lots of storage. Not the newest but clean, convenient and staff is great.

Efficient check in and the room and free breakfast were good. I would give this place a higher rating if it didn't have by far the worst shower I have encountered in 7 weeks of travelling across Canada. Absolutely appalling. No pressure and tepid at best. Get a plumber in!

We were there for the long weekend (sep 30th -Oct 1st) and our experience was amazing … the highlight of our experience was the frontline staff, Sam.he was very helpful and answered soo many of our questions. Gave us amazing recommendations and made our stay memorable… the rooms are a little dated but the in room jacuzzi compensated. All in all it’s located very conveniently and extremely close to downtown! We had an amazing experience and highly recommend it to whoever who is planning to visit! Hope you meet Sam and I’m sure he will make your experience magical like ours

The pictures shown are nothing like the rooms I got. The building was slanted and the towels were used and just refolded when given. Although the price is more affordable it still doesn’t feel worth it at all. Bad experience.

Ground floor units with direct parking at unit. Complimentary breakfast was terrific.
Rooms were spacious. Staff very friendly.

Pretty good hotel for a 2-star; the rooms are spacious, well maintained, there's patio doors to the back. The hotel also has a pool, continental breakfast, and even casino. The hotel is no more than 10 minutes from downtown Charlottetown, and plenty of malls around. Parking available right near your door.

Booked room through Expedia with no problems showed up to check in and was getting weird looks from the lady at check in who then told me I was on a list that said not to allow me to check in. I asked why she said she didn’t know why was unable to get any information as to why. So I called Expedia who had two of there employees call and they also would not tell them why other than all they got out of them was I did something. This being my first time in this city and never having stayed here before would be quite impossible for whatever it is that happened to have involved me. Would have really appreciated someone to explain what the issue is and not being treated like a piece of trash. Thankfully I got a room at the Hampton Inn and Suites which is a great place to stay and would recommend anyone else should just pay the extra and stay there.

Great place for the cost. I love that I parked my car at my hotel door, it made me feel much more secure. Room was decent. Coffee pot in room was moldy. Shower was hot. Bed was good, could've had a better comforter. Will definitely consider going back.

Amazing place to stay for the money. Rooms are big enough, furniture in the rooms to help accommodate the space. Free breakfast in the morning and pet friendly! 100% coming back if I return to PEI. Comfortable stay with 2 adults and a large dog.

Stayed for a week, little small at the beginning but when we got settled it was just enough for me, my fiance and my large dog. Staff was great and very friendly and helpful. Any small issue we had was resolved on the spot. Food is great and fairly priced at the restaurant with a small fridge and microwave in the room for leftovers/snacks. Overall fantastic my only stiff is the old shower head. But I think someone was messing with ours prior. Anyway after some fiddling it was fine: p may be worth updating them but other then that amazing stay:) PS: Don't forget your free breakfast with stay!

We enjoyed our stay. Room is nice and spacious and clean. It has a nice outdoor pool. It is 10 minutes from downtown, which is perfect. Great service! The lady at the front desk was very kind.

Really our only complaint would be that only one chair was provided. But again I didn't ask for another one. Clean and comfortable, all good.

Awful accommodations! The tiniest room I have ever seen: (Can barely hold a Queen bed. The room stinks so bad like Lysol / disinfectant that it made me nauseous. Old derelict furniture. Bed is like sleeping on a picnic table! Horrible. And the bathroom so tiny you can barely close the door. Honestly, you're better off sleeping in your car. Worst hotel experience EVER

Hotel was cancelled prior to even getting there. Showed up to find out two young girls from Halifax had no where to go and the oh so lovely lady at the front counter (NOT Nice or understanding or anything at all) Poor service from the second we walked in the door.
The lady at the front desk was not understanding at all.

We will NEVER rent from here. A family owned company fully willing to leave two young girls out on the streets of PEI.

Towels are old and a little dirty, there were 4 flies in the room, and a lady. Room is quite spacious, and clean, has stove, microwave although if you need to cook something, you need to have your own cooking utensils and seasonings.

Août 2021, nous avions réservé trois chambres, puis il y a eu overbooking. Les 3 chambres ont été attribuées à d’autres personnes. Aucun service n’a été offert pour nous redirigés. Je ne vois même pas comment c’est possible de faire ça, c’était l’après-midi…

Bref, je vous déconseille fortement cet endroit pas fiable malheureusement.

What is this place! Stay away! CANADA WORST VALUE! That place is so dirty. Clearly there is some management that should take place. It is not normal to find hair in the bathroom, a dirty carpet and a fridge not clean. My 2 yo started to cough all night. Dirty dirty dirty definitely I DO NOT RECOMMAND and clearly the reception people do not care!

Be sure to select a room from the first line. We had a poor room in the middle of a gap, the beds were uneven, at 50 cmt from the door, the toilet leaked water and the we had to ask for another room beacuse the 2rooms beside smoked canabis. Not good for kids.
They need more space for the breakfast not enough for 44 rooms.

No outlet that was close to the bed to plug my phone in.

Shower burnt me because it randomly will change temperature and pressure.

One of the outlets in the room arks if something is plugged into it.

Did not have towels in the room when we arrived.

Only had half a roll of toilet paper in the room when we arrived.

Was brought Kleenex to the room when I asked for toilet paper and the staff just looked at me after I said I needed toilet paper and said "well do you want it" when I didn't ask for Kleenex. Had to tell the staff I still needed toilet paper. She told me it was the end of her shift and it was on the other side of the hotel. (She did end up getting it for us).

Breakfast area was dirty. There was milk 1/9 days, staff didn't seem to care. There were other things in the breakfast area that were lacking for multiple mornings like plates.

Bathroom fan didn't work, bathroom light is on a timer for some reason.

Room was really dark with just 2 old lamps lighting the entire room

Tv did not work at all.

Found a used spoon and toy car in the room.

Pool was closed on a nice day at 11am.

Should only give a 3, only to keep this little jem from getting to busy. [Then it would be hard to book a room when we come back] What can I say about this location. Great spot on the edge of the city. Excellent service. Really great value for the room. Newly renovated rooms are clean and bright. Staff is above and beyond. Only thing to watch for is the restaurant. Do to Staff storage its not open all the time. Other than things beyond their control. I give a good recommendation for this spot

Nice room, comfortable bed. The bathroom was a bit tight, could use a shelf or second towel rack. Sat outside my room with a cooler of beer and enjoyed the evening. Had supper at the lounge on site, great deal on chicken wings and the drinks were cold.

Some rooms updated others need renovations, complementary breakfast essential, staff efficient and very nice.

La qualité de ce lieu est MÉDIOCRE! Nous sommes 2 familles venue de loin pour profiter de la beauté de l’île du prince Édouard et nous avons passer la nuit dans un lieu très sale. Nous sommes aller voir à la réception pour qu’il puisse nous expliquer pourquoi on a trouvé:
1) les cheveux dans le bain / hair in the bathroom
2) la moquette d’une extrême saleté
3) puce sur le lit/ bug on the bed
4) t-shirt sur le lit/ a shirt in the bathroom
5) moisissure air climatisé
Nous sommes aller expliquer le tout a la réception et malheureusement il n’y avait pas d’autres chambres dispo et pas d’autre hôtel disponible!

Horrible et degeulasse!

This was a reasonable option but there are better choices outside of historic downtown Charlottetown. The most important thing to know is that the rooms were built to accomodate either a Queen or 2 Twin Beds. However, many of the rooms have King Beds, that due to their size and the way the bathroom is designed with a bump out INTO the room, you have to squeeze by the bed to get to the bathroom. And I mean squeeze!

The staff was friendly and the location good, but it is an older hotel and the "kitchen" is really just a microwave, refrigerator, toaster and a small sink with some utensils. The breakfast is served in the narrow bar in the main building and was hot, but limited. Room was clean, the bed was comfortable and there is a small patio out the back of the room.
