The Cape Tryon lighthouse is gorgeous and has an incredible view of PEI's characteristic red capes. Do be careful as the access road to the lighthouse is a dirt road. Drive slowly, avoid if the weather is inclement, and if possible use a car with four-wheel drive and high ground clearance. The quality of the site should not be undermined by the frankly treacherous road to get there; It is a beautiful spot and a definite must-see.

Be careful: the road to the lighthouse is narrow and not paved. And there is nothing there beside the lighthouse and view point.

Amazing place for nature lovers, red cliffs, with lots of sea birds, good place to visit and enjoy on sunny day

The light house featured in the Anne of Green Gables movie. Too bad hurricane Fiona damaged the top.

While The lighthouse itself is not particularly breathtaking, the view from the point is absolutely magnificent. The road to get here is utter trash, with potholes everywhere in the black top, then switching to a dirt road which has not been maintained in quite some time. Be very careful not to rush against the foliage as it grows over the road. Only adding this because Google suggested you might need tickets, but this is a free attraction.

You can drive right to it. It's a one lane road so you might have to jockey with someone coming the opposite direction. Nice lighthouse and excellent views into the ocean!

We initially missed the turn for this hidden gem. While in better condition than some of its nearby peers, it has seen better days. The cliffs around the lighthouse more than make up for any defects in the lighthouse itself. This experience was worth the drive down the red dirt road.

Nice, off the beaten path, scenic cliffs. Drive slow as it's a one lane road so you have to be ready to pull over to let oncoming traffic go by. Small parking area in front of the lighthouse.

A little lighthouse which is welded shut and no longer in operation. A little tricky to get to on dirt roads, but I liked the views and the cliff dropoff.

Lighthouse is neat and the setting is fantastic!
Beautiful bluffs, crashing waves, caves carved along the sea edge down below, neat washout from the rain water runoff. Definitely worth visiting but it is a bit off the beaten path.

Amazing views and a neat piece of history. I wish there had been more information to read about the lighthouse

Beautiful view. There's noticable erosion damage from recent hurricane, but it doesn't subtract from the lighthouse or view. Also, be friendly and park on the edge of the circle-not in the middle of the lane.

Very calm and secluded place. Road to this place is very narrow, just enough for a car on an unlaid road. Worth the trouble getting there.

What a sad little lighthouse. Not sure if Fiona damaged the structure, though a prior poster in October posted after Fiona was over, but the light is gone and there was broken glass all over. What a shame. It’s in such a lovely, isolated location, and it was sad to see it in such a state.
