They offer ample parking, and a delightful 10-minute walk leads to the beautiful beach, creating a wonderful summer experience. On the way back, there are convenient walk-in showers near the parking area, and the view is endlessly beautiful.

Staying in nearby Moncton which we made our base for visiting Hopewell rocks, the Magnetic Hill and this beach here on PEI, we arrived on a windy September day, which turned very sunny in the afternoon. We have not realised, that crossing the long bridge between the mainland and PEI will have to be paid upon returning to mainland and is the most expensive fee we paid for crossing a bridge, at 50.25 CAD!

Reaching this beach involved lots of turns via small country side roads, with the map opened on my phone. Being late September, after Lee storm (which kept us awake in Halifax earlier) the beach had no access fee and there were lots of coaches bringing old tourists for a stroll on the beach.

The beach is very long and there is lots of info there on do's and do not. Even the water was warmish and I saved 2 caterpillars blown by the wind to the sand: one decided to further poo on my finger, I guess that is nature gratefulness, right?

Beautiful views in all directions and this area is left unspoiled which I like. Would I come back in summer time though? Not really, I prefer to stick to the provincial parks around Toronto for daily escapades and if I really want a holiday in the sun, probably I would chose quieter locations southern USA/Gulf of Mexico/Caribbean. There are lots of great locations to discover further.

The view of the ocean was spectacular. It was a foggy day but such clean sand and lots of things to find. Enjoyed the boardwalk to the beach and was thankful there was the showers along it to rinse off the sand on your body or just your feet. Happy to have experienced this stop in PEI

Incredible beach. The boardwalk is amazing and the access is first class for able and disabled. Perfectly clean and wild in nature.

Beautiful beach with a great boardwalk, showers and change rooms. Kids always love coming here and it never disappoints

The beach was absolutely beautiful! The sand was so soft, and the water was warm. Tide was out, and we walked out as far as we could!

Sand everywhere! A piping plover kicked sand in my face & stole my sandwich. Water was all wavy, kept moving. It ruined my dress shoes & no one would help me find my mittens.
Just gave it two stars so you'd read this. It's a great beach, 4 stars. Would be nice if there was a place you could plug your phone, tablet or electric scooter in. Facilities (mens washroom) smelled so bad, you wonder if everyone's "aim" is off at once.

GORGEOUS beach! We also really appreciated the parks Canada staff that taught us all about a bunch of different sea creatures.
It was quite busy near the boardwalk, but you could walk and find peace.

Parking mal indiqué nous avons dû marcher 25 minutes. Sinon, la plage et le reste était bien.

Had a really enjoyable time here. Nice facilities that were clean when we were there. I think a 4.5 is a better rating as the beach is quite rocky and hard to enjoy for swimming. That said the sandcastle making was lots of fun. Overall beautiful views, just keep in mind the trees in the area show evidence of the hurricanes that have come through.

Also, check out the Sunset and Stars hike put on by Canada Parks.

Just about the most notorious beach in PEI! Super busy, but filled with lots of charisma. If you’re in PEI, this beach is mandatory

Thé beach is fine, more rocks than expected though! The lifeguard are super responsible, my daughter twisted her ankle, they checked her ankle and made sure nothing serious, then gave her ice pack and rechecked after 15 mins! Thanks for all the help!

Nice boardwalk to the beach, The water was warm and the lifeguards very attentive. Very family friendly beach with lots of shallow area for small kids to play in. Fairly busy on a warm summer day but we still had had room to spread out and enjoy.
Love this beautiful beach.

Not dog allowed. Nobody tell you about it when you buy the tickets. We just paid and left the park

Honestly overrated, the least nice beach we visited while in PEI. Way too crowded. Skip it, there are so many other beaches you can enjoy on the island.

I was surprised with all the rocks that hit your feet when the waves rolled in but a beautiful spot to be sure.

I love this Beach. Ive been here a few times as a kid and now over 20 years later ive been able to bring mine. It was quite busy when we arrived. We got there late afternoon. Beautiful white sand beach. Beach is huge. Lots of space to walk around. Water is chilly but refreshing. Lots of waves. You can walk out far because of the sand bars. Would recommend a visit to this beautiful beach

Belle plage! On a bien aimé!
