Cavendish MemoTree Resort

An absolute nightmare.

I don't even know where to start.
The cabin smells disgusting and I think that it is probably the mold, since you can see it in every room.
The flies are everywhere, we entered the "clean" cabin and there were at least 6 flies from the very beginning. We killed them all and the next day, although we kept all the doors and windows closed, there were at least 5 more.
We had water dripping from the ceiling when it was raining and called to inform the reception, and although they wanted to look at it right away, nobody came.
My partner claimed that he saw maggots in the drain, which I cannot confirm because I was too scared to check.
The cabin was not completely clean upon entering. There were crumbs around the bed and the mirrors outside the bathroom had stains on them. The windows are very dirty and the wood around them is black.
And then there are tiny things that made our entire stay even more unsettling abd inconvenient.
The cabin is very poorly built, walking around makes all the rooms shake. The wooden planks are crooked so that you can peak outside through the gaps. The oven did not work properly. There were no paper towels. The list goes on.

Unfortunately, I did not take any pictures of the cabin right at the beginning of our stay, but despite all of our stuff lying around, I find that it helps you understand the atmosphere.

Overall, I really cannot recommend this place to anyone.

We just spent the night in the king suite for our honey moon and unfortunately we will not be back. The room was very nice and clean, and the staff were very kind however there is so much false advertising on their website and we left feeling ripped off. We paid nearly $300 for our room but initially felt it was reasonable considering it was a king suite and would have a restaurant, heated pool, and room service on-site. While the website does list all of these things as available to guests, they are not actually available unless you are part of a bus tour. Firstly, the pool is advertised as heated but it is not, i am a life guard and love the water cold or warm, but the pool was so cold that it hurt our skin and we could not actually get in, which made sense why it was empty for our whole stay. When we inquired about room service we were told that is not offered at the hotel, but it is clearly listed on their website. When we asked what time the restaurant would be open we were told that guests were not allowed to use the restaurant and that it was only for people doing the bus tours, the vending machines were also locked in the restaurant. There was a book in the nightstand with other services that the hotel offered, one of them being DVD rentals, it said to see the front desk for them. When we went to the front desk, she said the book is old and that they don’t offer DVD’s and they have no way to rent movies in the room what so ever anymore. We were very disappointed to pay so much money and have almost nothing listed included. We were thankful to have only been 10 minutes from all main attractions and restaurants in cavendish which made it easy to have our needs met and we also really enjoyed the jacuzzi in our room. However we could never justify paying that much money again for false advertising. Very unfortunate as we would have loved to return to the spot we honeymooned on our anniversary.

There was no hot water during our stay, and no compensation. We ended up driving home.

If you are looking for a place to relax this is the place to be. It's far from everything. Staff is super nice. Live the staff. The Asian staff. Super polite

Wouldn’t waste your time going here. Only reason they get 1 star is that it wouldn’t let me pick zero.
The room was dirty, food on the floor under the edges of the bed
Dirty wet towels, told me they had no more towels but we always had no hot water during the stay.
The customer service the woman at the desk has is horrible. Pretty much called me a liar about the condition of the room and refused to refund me when I left early because I was disgusted about to whole thing

My Aussie sister recommended this resort for my trip in PEI. She liked this resort very much and told me that she was beautiful with bikini and wig when she was on the beach. I would like to feel the same actually. That is why I stayed in.

Very pleasant living experience. Very friendly service, beautiful environment, well equipped, convenient transportation. Very, very recommended.
