Beautiful beach!

But boy does the wind blow cold here in November. I can see why she was closed for the season!

Really nice beach! There was a lot of waves in the water, which was fun to swim into. When we visited, there was also a lot of wind.

The water was hot too and seeing the bridge is really beautiful too.

Beautiful beach, quiet and not too crowded given that it's smaller. Nice that they have a park to occupy the kids while we load the car and lots of green space to play ball (soccer, football). Although I'm really disappointed that there was a lot of garbage (a pack of silica gel beads, broken pieces of plastic and other trash). I picked it all up and threw it in the trash bins but people really need to clean up after themselves.

Nice hidden gem! It’s close to confederation bridge, has washroom and showers (even with warm water). Plenty of parking and seems like not a lot of people know this beach, was very quite. Sand was super soft and water was warm. A great view of confederation bridge too. No entrance fee to go to this beach.

Great little park. Lots of open green space and well maintained. Has bathrooms and changing area. The beach is small at high tide but the swimming area is nice and shallow and you can go a long way out. Lots of crabs and Hermit crabs around to entertain the kids. Has a playground for small kids and there was a lifeguard on duty.

Parking is on the grass, bathrooms are old but at least there are some. Stairs down to the beach are a bit narrow so only one way at a time. There's a lifeguard on duty watching the beach.
Dogs are allowed on leash.

Beautiful beach, water was a great temp. And an excellent view of the bridge.

Plage est gratuite. Survient. Toilette et douche. L'eau est chaude dans petits lacs 40°Cet près de berges 24-27°C aux gnous. 22-24 aux épaules.

SLEEPER BEACH located right off the Confederation Bridge. Visited this park on our way off the Island after a short stay. Were pleasantly surprised by how quiet and beautiful this park was. FREE parking, beach access and use of amenities. Has showers and change rooms that are locally looked after, LOTS of parking and LOTS of sandy spots to plop down for the day. We showed up at 10am and there was no one there. Eventually started to fill up later in the afternoon. Never felt crowded. You can walk for miles in the shallow water or build a sandcastle. While Google says the beach is unsupervised, there were 2 lifeguards on duty. NOTE: Beach does not allow any floaty devices because of strong tides. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED as a non-touristy, Cavendish beach option.

Our favourite beach we have found on the island so far! Very close to Summerside. Easy drive. Lots of parking. Free. Love the playground.great swings and slides. Good bathroom and trash facilities. Amazing, soft, sandy beach. Great view. Walkable. Very clean and safe.

Water was OK, but my whole family got eaten alive by deerflies and mosquitoes. We were there about an hour or less because the insects were so bad. The stairs leading down to the beach were OK, but a little steep. Thanks to other reviews, knew that going into this.

If you're going to this beach, recommend you bring along a whole bottle of old school Deep Woods Off for each person you go with to this beach because the welts and raised bug bites are not worth your time going here.

There's also signage indicating that there are no inflatable or flotation devices allowed on the beach. My oldest child was wanting to use their new paddleboard but wasn't meant to be.

Horrible. Don't bother going. It's smells and was crowded, garbage everywhere. Seaweed everywhere. Got stung by jellyfish atleast 7 times.
