Great spot for lunch! We ate there twice during our last trip yo PEI. Enjoyed the food and their patio.

Everything they say is true about this little gem! The food, the staff and the views! We loved it!

The staff here were very friendly, it was pretty busy so I definitely recommend a reservation!
I had the beach house platter and it was delicious, so much food and super filling!

Clamdiggers Restaurant in Cardigan, P. E. I, you were exactly as we hoped! We travelled from Ontario Canada to eat your fine delicious seafood! You were on the list as one of our highlights and spending over $300 for only two people, you did not disappoint. Your seafood platter at approx 115.00 X 2 was worth the money! Per dish—a whole lobster, a rack of snow crab legs, shrimp, big scallops and mussels—Amazingly Delicious!
The fried clams appetizer was not to my liking—only a personal preference. The crab cakes appetizer was only two pieces and very very small for the price of them. They were very delicious and would have liked to see 4 pieces for the price they were, especially at that size. Customer service very good, knowledgeable and helpful.
For the price it’s definitely only a treat and not a restaurant I would be able to frequent—only in my dreams. Lol.
Thank you for being on the map and the signs were helpful in finding your location. Also enjoyed the view.

This is a great place for some fine dining. Wanna go a little more causal? I saw several people picking up orders and taking them out to picnic tables. There is also the operation of eating on the patio

Either way, you are going to enjoy the seafood here.

We ordered the Digger Dip for an appetizer. For the entreé we had the Oven Baked Haddock and the Fish Burger. It was very good.

Excellent service from our delightful server, Miss Jenny. Quick with the orders. Everything was perfect.

Bathrooms are super clean and have plenty of soap, towels, and hot water.

Our only complaint might be the limited amount of parking.

Seemed busy with lots of servers running around
Our server took 9 minutes to come to us.
I have an extensive background in hospitality, so I thought maybe she was overwhelmed

She asked what we wanted, no drink offer or anything
So I asked if I could get a Cosmo, she said Nope. That was it, just Nope
So we ordered our drinks, appetizer & dinner all at once

Food was good.

She barely checked on us during our meal & seemed alot less interested in her tables than the other servers
We ordered dessert to go.

Before paying I overheard her at the table beside us
2 elderly ladies both paying with cash
The server asked if they needed change?
Yes! They wanted change.
Should never assume a tip
If you work hard & give great service you'll definitely get a top 99% of the time.

My wife and seven of her sisters get together every year for a special outing.she told me when she got back that they all had different orders and all orders were excellent.the food, service, price were second to none. I wasn’t there but when all sisters were happy that says a lot! They plan on going back next year and would suggest any one looking for a great food to try Clamdiggers.thanks everyone……

Everything they have tastes great and complex; is overall worth the higher price; albeit some ingredients here and there being not always up to par.
Great staff. Our server, Haley, was especially friendly, and absolutely on the ball when it came to helping us when we were indecisive.

Fast friendly service. The Digger Club wrap was excellent and whole clams were the best I have had!

The food was amazing! Had the breaded clams, mussels, lobster roll, halibut, and one of the seafood bakes and it was all great. Our waitress who was from Collingwood was fantastic. Highly recommend eating here.

If you are visiting the island and don't eat here, you missed visiting the soul of the island.

We booked Clam Diggers to celebrate a COVID delayed 40th anniversary trip to PEI this year. We booked based on reviews, meal choice and proximity to where were staying. I highly recommend Clam Diggers - exceptional food and service. The mussel chowder is a must. My wife had the Beach House Platter and I had the Lobster Supper. Everything was cooked to perfection, service was 5 star and a shout out to our server (name unknown) who made our dinner such an enjoyable event.

It is generally very very good with a wide selection of meal choices. We've eaten here quite often and fingers crossed that the new owners can maintain the high reputation that this restaurant has developed.

Absolutely my favorite restaurant of my vacation, actually I went back the day before departing to have a wonderful "last meal of vacation" the seafood bake is a dish I will dream about. Friendly people that even remembered me. ️️️️️ 5 heart rating

Good place for sea food. Serving was bit slow despite many empty tables. Food was good but bit pricey for what you get.

I found the food over priced for the quality. I got the scallops and fries for $24: it was just deep fries scallops on some fries. Wasn't terrible but it definitely wasn't worth the cost. The rest of my family found the same with their meals. Service was also very slow, although it could have just been one of those nights. Would not go back.

The clam dinner was awesome. Also had the Ceasar salad, yum! We ate on the deck and it was lovely outside.

One of the best seafood meals on my 3-week East Coast trip! Everything we ordered (coconut curry mussels, lobster roll, seafood chowder and scallops) was delicious. The service was also excellent! I would definitely come back again!

Great restaurant with a fantastic menu, desserts excellent, reservations recommended. Beautiful patio overlooking the water.

Hostess recognized that my partner and I are LGBTQ. Did not say, “Hello” just tried to ignore us and move onto the next group behind us. When I said for, “2” she said that there was no room and it would be over an hour wait. Open Table indicates that there was room.

Food and Service was excellent! We took Dad here for Father's Day and it was an amazing dinner for all of us.

We had a wonderful meal last night at Clam Diggers. I had the Clams and roast potatoes they melt in your mouth. Best clams i ever ate. Great atmosphere and the best part is the staff, kind, friendly and professional. A must place to dine this Summer.

Wow! Aftermath suggestions from coworkers we checked out this lil hidden gem. I can honestly say, some of the Best food I've had since arriving in Pei. We had Fish and chips (hubby) he said amazing. I had whole Clams and a Mediterranean Salads, both were absolutely delicious and bursting with flavors. Now I've heard people rave of the clams so I jumped in to try and was amazed. I believe it's my new favorite appetizer, and the salad was one of the best I've ever had. Mixed greens, olives tomatoes, onions, feta, nuts, andhomemade dressing. We will return, there are so many more seafood dishes I must try.

A fun spot to have lunch or supper. The food was good and the service prompt and friendly. The organisation of the urinals in the men's washroom was fascinating!

Delicious fish and chips, great atmosphere and beautiful view. The chicken wrap was also a huge hit. Really loved the potato salad, and roasted veggies.
You need to get the bread pudding for dessert. It is the best thing I have ever ate.

Food was fantastic. Went there for a 90th birthday party. We had a whole room to ourselves. Excellent service as well. We'll be back!

Our family ordered various things, and I felt quite conflicted in my experience. I've been there twice, once where the service was horrible, we were the only ones in the building and it took forever for us to get anything. Recently we went again and it was much better! Service was great, and it felt like they got everything under control. The food however was conflicting. I have some scallops as an appetizer, and it was really good, but I got the ribs and it was very salty. Based on the meals around the table, it seemed that their sauces were really salty, however, anything seafood was delicious. Desserts were to DIE FOR as well. I'd give them 3.5 stars overall. Try and get something that is seafood is my recommendation.

The food was delicious. We had the Old Fashioned Shanty Bake, the Ocean Bake, the Digger's Seafood Lunch with the toasted almond quinoa, the Bread pudding, the Old Fashion Carrot Cake, and a white Chardonnay.
Our waitress was neither friendly, nor unfriendly, simply doing her job without anything else.
I would recommend booking in advance as the place fills up pretty fast. Ask for a table at the window so you can enjoy the water view. The restaurant is not very family friendly in the sense that they don't have a kids menu, colouring paper and crayons, or even a changing table, unlike most other restaurants.

Nice atmosphere. Covid protocols followed. It's like being at the family table. I had the shrimp & lobster linguine (sauce was delicious, shrimp too, but lobster was a bit chewy). My husband had the beach house platter (yummy and lots of it). We each had a Caesar salad but didn't finish them (not creamy enough). Dessert was bread pudding. Ooh la la it was decadent. My blue lobster pink lemonade was.oh so sour. Our waitress came to the rescue with simple syrup. All in all.we'll be back to try other items on the menu. Even our cat enjoyed the small snack pack we brought him. He loved the pieces of scallop the most.

Absolutley fantastic whole clams. A tasty treat for sure. The lobster roll was also impressive!

Portion control for what you are being charged is outrageous, the cheapest thing you can put on a plate that will make people happy is French fries!
I had the fish and chips, and although the fish was excellent, I am leaving hungry because you only get about 20 fries!
The fish and chip truck down the road was better!

Went here for our 37th wedding anniversary supper, highly recommend it, great food friendly service, a little pricey but worth it.

I have never went in to a restaurant and ordered steak, and didn’t get bread or a bun. Here I did, the kids had more French fries in their plate than I did. The steak was delicious and the server was awesome but no bread and not much fries turned me off of ever going back

Beautiful view of the waterfront from inside the restaurant as well as patio. Restaurant is quite small but staff is friendly and food is tasty.

Good service. Friendly staff. A busy spot, so advisable to make a reservation. A little pricey, but it was expected as it's a very touristy area. My dinner was delicious.

Wonderful service from the two ladies who were attentively handling every customer in both sections of the restaurant. Fantastic menu and superb food. We're coming back next week!

The only complaint was the crab was very salty and I wish it wasn't in the shell because it was so messy and a lot of work for 3 legs of meat. Other than that, I got the surf and turf on Valentine's Day and the steak was very good. My hubby hot the fish and chips and said it was delicious!

Was there on Saturday Nov. 14th. Had clams and fries. Clams were very fishy tasting. My friend had the platter and it was a very small portion for the price. First time being there and was not happy.

Called to make Reservation at 11 am for 4: 45 Oct 10/20, & Lady was very Pleasant! I asked for a booth with Waterview & she said, no problem!
Arrived at 4: 45 and we were seated within 3 mins in a Waterview Booth.
Our Waitress was very nice with a beautiful smile! Had our Mussel app within 10 mins & our Delicious Meals of Ocean Bake & Clam Dinner within 20 mins. Both meals were Excellent! Of course we didn't need Dessert after that meal! We did decide to try the Pumpkin Cheesecake & the Chocolate truffle and both were delicious with a pot of Tea!
A Very Large Menu with many Choices!
We HIGHLY Recommend Clam Diggers as a Place to eat as it is only 30 mins from Charlottetown & really worth the Drive!

I visited this spot with three others and we all had lovely meals. Our service was good, the server was friendly and efficient, and the food was well priced for what we got! Personally I had the chicken pot pie as I'd heard good things about it- Very enjoyable!

We also split two deserts, the bread pudding and the turtle cheesecake. Both were lovely. I would definitely recommend this spot, and a reservation is a good idea!

Have been several times now and each visit has been great. Great seafood, friendly service, nice atmosphere and great views. An island gem.

Stopped in by chance and was totally amazed. My husband had the Mussel chowder. It consisted of mussels, coconut curry, Island cream and herbs. He said it was full of flavour and decent amount for the $10 price tag. I had the seafood lunch - snow crablegs, seared scallops, garlic shrimp with caesar salad. Everything was cooked to perfection and the server was great and very pleasant. The very best stop we've made on the Island in 8 years.

Well. We didn't call for a reservation and they were busy, yet nice enough to fit us in without waiting too long. Food and service was great, our whole table had seafood and all were very happy with their meal. We also had cocktails and beer on tap, had a great evening!

Wow a sweet little spot. I ordered the Ocean Bake and it was delicious with scallops, shrimp, fish and mashed potatoes. I was so full afterwards that I ordered dessert to take home. Staff was friendly and service was excellent.

Great seafood. On this particulier day I had the summer salad with my lobster love. The best salad hands down, almost ever. Thank you.

Food is second to none! The mussel appetizer was simply amazing! Sopped up every bit of the broth! Will definitely be eating there again.

The restaurant was highly recommended from family that live on the island. The seafood was great. We will go again next year.
