Were not in the cottage. Only there on the beach. Gorgeous very fine red sand. Not overcrowded. Just great

Had the best island vacation at Driftwood Cottages! Went down with several family members and the cottages were the perfect place for our group. They far surpassed my idea of a "cottage". They were totally equipped "little houses"! So nice inside with all the comforts. We had everything we needed and if anything was lacking management was quick to accommodate our needs. Lots of space inside and outside for fun and games and group BBQs. Just steps away from the water for lovely strolls on the beach. Quick drive into the village for supplies. Thanks for the wonderful memories! Nothing beats island hospitality ️ I'll be back sooner rather than later!

We stayed in Unit 1 for three nights.
The innkeeper Carol is dedicated and super attentive to providing for a guest's every need. She went above and beyond and 5 stars is under rating. The cottage was comfy, clean, spotless and steps from the shoreline. Carol is superlative!

Wonderful location and while the water is cold, the scenery is brilliant and kids have no problem swimming and jumping in waves. The cottages and their interiors are basic but it is beach living, peaceful and a special stretch of water.

It was the best place for our family reunion. Beautiful beach location. Cottages were very clean, and well equipped. Management could not have been more accommodating. We were treated to the very best in island hospitality. We’ll be back!

My family and I stayed at Driftwood cottages this summer, and it was amazing! The cottages were fresh, clean and well stocked with everything you need. The beds all had new mattresses, the furniture looked new, and there was a picnic table and bbq outside.

The kids had so much room for their outdoor games, and we loved that the cottage was so close to the water, for our morning and evening walks. We even had a few bonfires on the beach!

Paul and Judy were so helpful and accommodating when we had to change our travel dates. We will definitely be back!

There were many things lacking about our stay (Nov 2021). The furniture was older and felt unclean and uncomfortable. The kitchen was missing some pretty basic things. Frying pan, cork screw, can opener, dish cloths, paper towels. One of the beds had the mattress put on upside down and there were sharp knobby things sticking out. We couldn’t figure out what was going until we stripped the bed and saw. Then needed to flip it over and re make the bed. Very inconvenient. There was not enough toilet paper supplied. The view was very nice. The rest was not good. Contacted the owners. Was told they were new and were working on it. Finally after many back and forth messages they agreed to give us a partial refund for our three night stay and offered a complimentary stay in the spring (2022) to show us how much it will be different and better. I attempted to book our complementary stay recently and was told that the free stay was never offered. I sent a copy of emails where they offered it. The owner finally sent a message saying that they would be offering nothing further. Now I cannot get any response. DO NOT STAY HERE!

Gun shots from 6: 30 AM to 10: 00 PM all day long. We stayed at the Driftwood Cottages, cottage #1 first week of Aug 2018. First night, and every day thereafter, we were awakened by gun shots. The shots went on all day long. We thought we were surrounded by a shooting range. We were nervous to go outside in fear of a stray bullet. Later we learned they were propane canons to keep the birds off the blueberry fields. The setting is beautiful with direct access to the ocean; however, the constant canon blasts are a deal breaker. Renters should be told about the noise in advance. The cottage was just okay, the walls were covered in dead bug guts, the furniture is minimal to say the least, with one 2 seat couch and 1 chair. The furniture was old, fabric ripped and the 1 chair fabric was very dirty. PEI is beautiful, the people are wonderful and we will go again, but I would not recommend this cottage due to the noise.
