Succulent! La vue est superbe, le personnel est souriant, courtois et efficace. Le chef prend même le temps d’aller aux tables faire un brin de jasette. Ce resto sera sur ma liste à nos prochaines visites à l’Ile!

In August my wife and i had dinner at this little gem of a restaurant and we absolutely loved the food. The naturally earthy notes of her Mushroom raviolis were ingeniously complimented by a well balanced mixture of sweet butternut squash and bitter roquette salad. My lamb korma was tender and the sauce was very well seasoned having just the right amount of curry to tomato ratio. The Chef took the time to go through the dining room speaking to guests ensuring the were satisfied. The lamb i had was slow cooked for an entire day and basted with the cooking juices.
Our dishes were pretty much at the opposite ends of the culinary spectrum and a testament of the chef’s range and experience. I highly recommended you take the time to discover this place!

Great food and a great location. Service was fast and friendly and the food came out quick. Very nice outdoor eating area, overlooking the bay.

This restaurant was in a beautiful location overlooking the water. We enjoyed having curries as a break from the more typical seafood meals. The server was friendly but service itself was hit and miss (had to ask for cutlery, had to ask for a drink after water, etc). Would go back.

We really enjoyed the delicious food and beautiful waterfront view! Lots of menu options, including the typical grill items but also some Indian options.

We thought the Atlantic Salmon was a little overcooked/dry but the Tuna Steak was wonderful. Beer came in a chilled glass which was a nice touch.

Service was a little slow but still pleasant. Seating was comfortable and staff were very friendly.

What a hidden gem! Food was fantastic, staff was friendly, and the seating provides a great view with a sheltered patio in case of weather! Would recommend.

If you're looking for some amazing food, romantic atmosphere. I strongly suggest booking your evening @ Island Chef At The Pier. The food was absolutely delicious, the service was top shelf! It's a perfect place to enjoy the company of your significant other, beautiful view, overlooking the water.
I personally intend to try everything on the menu, the mushroom ravioli will knock your Sox off. There's literally something for everyone on this menu!

We placed our drink order, starter, and main dish, all at once. Our main came first, crab and prawn linguini. Extremely bland. No garlic? The prawn and crab seemed to be frozen, not fresh. The noodles weren't linguini and tasted like no name from a box, and the veggies had no flavour. The dish cost $32. Then our oysters came, most of the ice had turned to water, and had obviously been forgotten, and they asked as they set it down "oh did you want this all together? ". Bit late for that question, as we had already asked for oysters to start. We finished our main, and the oysters, and still had no drink. We had ordered cocktails. When they came to ask how it was going, we asked for our drinks, and they left without clearing any plates that were obviously empty of food. My wife's drink came, and I waited another 10 minutes for my mojito, which they made into a slushy. Wasn't described as such in their writeup, and could not taste any alcohol. It was $14. My wife couldn't taste the alcohol in her drink either. We had planned on getting dessert and ordering more drinks to enjoy on the patio, but the experience made us want to just pay our bill and leave. Bill came. $125. Plus I tipped them 15%, which was too high for what we got, but I always tip. $144 for a terrible meal, and very poor service, and way overpriced drinks that came as we were wanting to leave. We'll never be back. This is a tourist trap. Only good thing was the view.

A large group of us had the most amazing experience. Best view on the island under a covered deck, attentive staff were very helpful and the food was delicious! Can't recommend this enough

“Update after restaurant response. ” All the issues started from the beginning at 5: 50 pm. My husband and I each had one (not 2) small, weak cocktails (surprisingly made by our waiter, not a bartender) followed by a shared bottle of low alcohol wine over an almost three-hour period. Hardly a lot to drink. My husband has been trained in the regulating, inspecting, and taxing the production, sale, and use of alcoholic beverages. We know when someone has been over served. I purposely edited my original review and omitted the alcohol part because our main concern was the service. Although we were both shocked and embarrassed when we were told we couldn’t have a customary after dinner drink. We didn’t understand, but slowly realized Brandon was judging us. In my 69 years on this planet, not once have I been in a situation where I had been overserved or treated like a minor by a waitstaff. The bad service did start at the beginning. The young woman was lovely, kind, and conscientious though a little rushed. She knew we were not getting good service because a few times she was shocked we didn’t have a food order in yet. We try to be polite and not make a scene or be “those demanding patrons” which is why we didn’t “complain” then and there. If we had said the food wasn’t that great would it have made a difference? We weren’t trying to get a reduction in the bill. Most people don’t like confrontation, that’s what reviews are for. It’s our fault for choosing the restaurant. The food was not bad, just not great. Of course we ate most of it, we were hungry, having not eaten all day and waiting so long. I know chefs have big egos but you open yourself up to comments when you say you are “Michelin like” on your website. I presented an honest review of what transpired. Your comments tried to slant it to suggest otherwise. I’m sorry you can’t take a critique to improve. I stand by what I said previously, it’s all true from my experience.

Sorry this is long. My husband and I are world travelers and appreciate great food, service, and atmosphere. When I read the description on their website I was excited to try them. We looked forward to a romantic dinner at 6 pm. We were extremely disappointed. The food was mostly just ok. Chowder wasn’t anything special. My chicken Lebanese was good but chicken was dry (seemed reheated). The worst was the service and didn’t appear to be that busy. The young girl there was very genuine and pleasant. Brandon seemed controlling of the other employees, lacked coordination, seemed phony and was condescending even though he didn’t know much. He couldn’t recommend any dishes because he hadn’t tried much (his own admission). Asked about the wine (he wasn’t familiar) so offered to let us taste but didn’t come back. The young woman saw us sitting at our table for so long and asked us if she could get us something. She brought it to Brandon’s attention and he finally brought the wine for us to taste. His judgement started before we ordered the wine, treating us like he was our parent. Finally ordered the bottle of wine. They don’t seem to know about serving wine. Brandon kept on forgetting about us. He came back again and asked us what we ordered. We aren’t demanding outspoken people and we were being quiet and patient but it was getting ridiculous. Presentation of the food was ok; had to ask for napkins and silverware to eat it. At 8 pm we were finished and just wanted to go. This place is trying to be something it’s not. They need to change or update their website to reflect what they really are. I know it’s hard to find employees, let alone good ones but Brandon needs to work in another area.

So satisfied with the experience i had with this restaurant that i end up applying for the job.keep up the great work! Excellent food for good price. Especially, the restaurant owner, big bravo!

Nice patio dining, but that’s where the positive attributes end. Ordered the most expensive item on the dinner menu; rib eye steak $44. This was, without doubt, one of the worst steaks I’ve experienced at a restaurant; clearly prepared earlier in the day warmed on the grill after I ordered. Despite being rare, it was dry and tough. Server did not return to table after food was served but did offer to see what she could do on the $119 bill when I went to the bar to pay. I declined any discount and even gave her the customary 15% tip despite the poor service. I’ll not have anyone suggest I was looking for a discount and would not have even told her how bad the food was had she not asked.

Our experience was phenomenal. We could not have been happier with our meal. The price-point was fantastic given the culinary expertise that was evident in the delicious meal that was provided. I would recommend making the voyage from Charlottetown, during which time you can take in the beautiful Island scenery before arriving at this fantastic destination

Excellent experience! The view is amazing and the food matches the atmosphere with so many choices! Highly recommend trying the Arabic Burger.

A beautiful waterfront location with a large menu, delicious food and great service! This will become the go to restaurant in Cavendish.
