Island Life Cottages

The worst place I have ever stayed in. We moved out after the first night even though we paid for 4 nights. Nothing is levelled lots of bugs, the place needs a major renovation.

The location of the cottage is great but the condition of the rooms and actual cottage is in really poor condition, the pool and other recreational activities is in great condition though and well maintained

Owner is very friendly. Good views and close to beach and other trails. Price is good, overall a great stay at island life cottage.

I stayed there for 2 nights and the owner is very friendly with great customer service, great location around 5 minutes away from brackly beach, would definitely book again in the future.

A very nice and quite and clean place, the owners are very kind and helpful, the cottages are almost well equipped (kid’s area, library, pool… etc.you can also watch foxes in the evening or early morning.the price is ok, the cottage is well located 10 min away from Brakley beach and 25 min from Charlottetown city center. I highly recommend this place for families or couples,

Horrible experience. Bugs everywhere in the cottage. Dirty. Earwigs everywhere. Slept in the car instead. Left 1st thing in the morning. Owner refunded our stay. Disgusting. Never again.

Not fancy, but had everything we needed. Very nice and helpful owner/manager. We enjoyed our stay.

We had a nice stay with our dog and a couple of friends. The place was a bit cheap so we had doubts, but it ended being very clean with lots of extra features and playground for kids. If I had a kid, he would have loved it lol. Would book again.

The location was great, central to everything we wanted to do. The issues are with the cottages themselves. The fridge was not plugged in when we arrived, and once running did not keep our items cold, so we lost some food. The BBQ did not work as it should, kept going out and took forever to cook, and was out of propane. The bathroom was not clean, hair in the shower and sink, stains on the floor by the toilet. There was poor water pressure in the shower and hot water was hard to come by. The toilet ran after each flush, and the chain kept falling off. The bed was uncomfortable and needs replacing, extra pillows should have been in the room. The cottages are poorly insulated and it was frigid in the night/early morning, see your breath cold, in July!

If you’re into rustic accommodations, the log cabin is great for the price. The beds aren’t great but they’re nothing less than one would expect. The only thing that would make it better is if it were slightly more private but this is the norm for cottages in the area.

When we showed up, they had given our cottage to someone else. We had to wait for 20 minutes before they could even figure out where we would stay. We changed to "our" cottage the next day, which in my opinion, shouldn't have been rentable! We would have had a better sleep on the floor, the so called beds felt like a hard box. The shower literally peed on you! The water went from cold to hot without even changing the temperature! The smoke detector didn't even work, it was up but open with no battery inside. We had 4 people but only had enough silverware for 3!
The kids loved the pool, but that was about it!

Location was good. Peaceful, nice pool. My only complaint was more towels should be provided. Glad that I brought extra. Worse part was the bed. Very uncomfortable, need to be replaced, old and wore out.

Could have been cleaner. And nicer comforters on the bed are expected by me. Beautiful open location; and full kitchen facilities appreciated.
