Charlottetown cruise day trip.
There was an unknown drink to try in advance, which I thought was very good.

Stopped in to enjoy a veggie burger and non-alcoholic beverage.
Service was fast and friendly.
The food was great.
The establishment is fantastic.

Buddha bowl, poutine & beef and seafood pasta - all delicious and service was attentive and friendly. Highly recommend

This is the first time I have not tipped a server. But we were made to feel like criminals, during my daughters birthday outing, for dumping some fruit punch crystal light powder into my daughter and her friends water. They said they could loose their liqour license? It made no sense.

Stopped in for a quick bite to eat before heading to the airport to catch my flight home. Great patio with no vehicle traffic. Half priced PEI mussels from 2 to 4 was delicious. I would definitely go back

A great casual location for dinner and beer/wine. We tried several dishes and various local beers or wines - all were excellent.
We sat at a window table, open to the street, so got to enjoy the street life of the city.

Had drinks with coworkers after work on a Friday. We split the southwest nachos (as we usually do), It's a great portion size for sharing. The music on the TD stage was great, even though it rained I can't complain.

The atmosphere is great the staff are wonderful, even offering us a sample of what's on tap so we know we are going to enjoy what we order. This place is definitely a staple spot for lunch or after work drinks for us.

Great service, great food, and great beer selection! The atmosphere was nice, service was both friendly and timely, the food was tasty and came in a very fair portion size. Price for quality is very appropriate! I would recommend stopping in if you're looking for a nice patio in downtown Charlottetown!

A delicious find on historical Victoria Row in downtown Charlottetown! The food was great and the service was even better.

Went out with some friends, spent a couple hundred dollars in a night, paid for coat check and at the end of the night they gave my coat away, stating they weren't responsible for the item in care of the service that was paid for. No reply from management about the incident.

There are approximately thirty pubs and bars in the Charlottetown area. This one ranks among the three best. Well run, great service, great food, centrally located, great atmosphere.

This place has come a long way since being the Globe lol. Great food and prices, nice seating outside as well as in. Live music and great beer on tap.

Always a great place to eat. My favorite poutine in the island. And the burgers are really good as well

We went here for out 7th anniversary. Its was amazing. My husband had the beef tip poutine and it was the nest poutine we ever had! The beef was tender and flavorful, and generous amount of cheese curds were used, and it was topped with the best poutine gravy we ever tasted. I had the beef tenderloin with garlic mashed potatoes and sweet carrots. The tenderloin was cooked a perfect medium rare with a wine reduction and the carrots were so good I ate them first! With the meal we had Open Riesling-Gewürztraminer from the Niagara Peninsula in Canada its was refreshing a perfect pairing. To finish our meal we had the Turtle Cheesecake and it was the perfect finish! Light and airy with caramel and walnuts. We will definitely be going back!

Nice waitresse, very sweet, also food is decent and comforting. Some of their beer is made with blueberries from the region which is very unique. The inside is very well decorated, and go this rustic but modern "old school" pub look. The crowd is mixed, I saw younger people, older ones, and even a mother and her baby; the staff played with the child. Also, when you ask question the waiters know what they're talking about.

Wonderful pub - sat at the bar and watched football while chatting with the manager. Excellent service, great food and a good selection of local beers. I highly recommend the steak tips!

The ambiance outside the restaurant on the patio looked amazing, thus the reason we could not get a table outside. Unfortunately, we were regulated to the inside. It wasn’t all bad because the Jays game was on. Being that we were out East we wanted to sample the chowder. When it came out it was lukewarm, thick, and full of potatoes (I know I was in P. E. I.but the number of potatoes was overwhelming). The flavour was not bad, but there was absolutely no seafood to be found other than the 2 muscles it was topped with. If there was seafood it was pureed. Every spoon full was a mouthful of potatoes. In all fairness the waitress offered to replace it, I just wasn’t in the mood for fish flavoured potato soup! The chowder on the East coat is the best, unfortunately that was not the case at the John Brown Richmond Street Grille.

A can’t miss restaurant when in Charlottetown. Servers are very nice and friendly and the food is incredible. Mussels with goat cheese and spinach is incredible. Drinks on the patio listening to live music at John Brown’s is an experience not to be missed when visiting Charlottetown

Good Pub fare, great atmosphere and location. However, don't get the fried chicken sandwich. It's not southern, and there's not much chicken hiding in the crust.

We picked this rest based off a map at out hotel. The food was very good and our waitress was very friendly

I've eaten at this restaurant several times in the past two summers. I have had very good experiences each time. They are very busy, especially in the evenings but the staff have always been friendly and food good! Keep up the good work!

A staff member from the Charlottetown Inn highly recommended this place and it was excellent. Had the seared haddock, scallops and tenderloin tip poutine. The live band was the icing on the cake.

I was so disappointed with my meal choice (pasta bolognaise). For 23$ I expected better than undercooked carrots, non-melted cheese and an absolutely tasteless sauce. The server was very kind and happily brought me another menu item. Overall the food here is nothing extraordinary and not worth the price: (

Seeing we are only in Charlottetown for one night, we wanted to pick a seafood restaurant that was highly rated. Upon entering, the staff were nice and accommodating. The service was efficient and with a smile. However, when the food was served, it left little to be desired as for taste or presentation. The scallops (at $36) were hard and chewy. Very disappointing. The chowder was over salted. 2 strikes. The mussels in wine and garlic sauce was lacking flavour. With all this to experience, we had to pass on the desert for fear of the unknown. We decided to have tea and coffee. The tea was not hot enough and therefore the tea bag could not steep properly. The coffee was cold enough to guzzle down. Very disappointed for first and only night in Charlottetown. We wish we had the opportunity to try other restaurants instead of being left with a poor experience as we depart the island. The service staff alone warranted the 3 star rating. If it wasn't for them, it would be lower!

When i went to P. E. I the first restaurant that went to was this place i loved i mean loved the chicken strips but not the fries it was because it reminded me of the food item that got me food poisening but you can eat it i loved it i will recommend this the workers are nice and yeah.

The food here was absolutely delicious in and of itself. But I also want to specifically call out the excellent service from our waitress Bethany. She was extremely attentive and polite.

Love this restaurant. In the summer we love the street patio, refreshing drinks and live local music. The food is always great too. I love the fish tacos.
In the winter we Love the outdoor pod.servers were awesome as was the food and cleansing craft ales!

Great food and efficient service. Friendly staff. The only negative is the noise level.it was packed and it was hard to hear the person across from you to have a conversation, which is often the case in places with high ceilings and open concept. The decor was cool. The patio had heaters to keep us warm while we waited for a table, which was nice. Overall, a good experience.

The John Brown Grille is one of my favorite spots, the food always wonderful, their price points are, well, on point, the establishment is clean, welcoming and fun.
I hope you get Lauren as your server. Not only does she carry her self with grace, but you can tell the second she arrives at your table, she actually cares about you and your time in the restaurant.

They used to have an amazing portobello burger that I wish they didn't take off the menu. Fun atmosphere and lots of good food.

I ordered the grille burger. My friends ordered the side caesar salad and the hot chicken sandwich. The side caesar was a very generous portion. Their burger and fries are delicious and well worth the price. Staff were also really kind and professional.

Super bon. Nous avons pris des moules et chicken brushetta flatbread.

2021-09-13 - It is always a great experience. One of my favourite places in town. Food is good, and staff is amazing - even when it is crazy busy there.

I went here as a tourist and it's the first time I tipped more than 15% at a restaurant. It was because the service was incredibly fast. We waited only about five minutes for our meal and the food was excellent. Our server was kind and attentive as well. I also enjoyed the NA craft beer, not many places do that. Thank you

Enjoyable meal in a relaxing setting. Service was excellent, friendly welcoming staff. Dined on the patio while being entertained from the nearby stage.
The food was excellent. Definitely recommend this restaurant.

This feels lkke a tourist staple for P. E. I.food is good. I went there the other night and the hostess was so down. She did not want to be there and let us know it. She must of had something pretty rough going on in her life. Our waiter was great and the food average. I was not expecting much based on first impressions. Felt like an average Applebee's type experience. It could be great and maybe this was an off night?

I absolutely loved the Big Andy Burger. It was superb and made my tummy very happy. Just the right amount of spice and savory from that jalapeno aioli. My friend go the fish and chips which were also very nice, flakey, and cooked perfectly - the tartar sauce was good and flavorful.

The beer selection was very good! I was able to sample a few to see what I liked best and choose from those. The Gahan blueberry wheat beer was especially yummy. The beer could have been colder though, as I found it was a bit warmer when it was served but still appropriately cool; this was more of a personal preference.

Service was great too! Fairly normal wait time for a busy place, and the staff were very quick to help you out with a request. I'd certainly recommend this place to friends.

One last thing - the live music was a nice touch and they were great performances.

Food was great, as was the bar. I’m a server myself, we had Tessa for the table service and she couldn’t be bothered to serve us, did not ask us a question, she took us from a 5 to a 3 but otherwise great experience!

The layout and setting is nice but the food needs improvement. My seafood chowder is too dense which make it hard to finish the whole bowl and the side bread is a little bit soggy. The virgin drink is quite sweeter than expected.

The atmosphere paired with lobster rolls make you feel in the 1%. L. A has nothing on Victoria Row.

This is one of my favourite restaurants in Charlottetown. They have a great variety of really good food on the menu with lots of gluten-free options. One of my favourite dishes is their Creamy Chicken on Spinach. Their steak sandwich is one of the best I've had anywhere. Their soups are amazing. My friends and I go here a few times a summer. They have a large, comfortable dining room for enjoying the company of others and the wait staff are very welcoming and good. Their patio seating on a nice day is wonderful and there is frequently live music right beside them. The only complaint I've ever had about this restaurant is that it isn't open all year round. Definitely worth your time to try.

This was the best meal we've had on the island! We had the pub fare, wings and poutine. They took simple everyday food and jacked it up to the max. So, so, so delicious! We recommend John Brown Grille and will be returning!

Food was good, drinks were good (when we got them). We were never offered water, everyone's food came out about 10-15 mins apart for each other, as I was eating my entree (which was cold), my husband was eating his main course (which was also cold). We had multiple servers and it seemed a bother to each when we asked for another drink, or where our food was. For apps, drinks, and a main course we were there for about 3 hours and we ordered as soon as we got there and left as soon as we finished eating. Wouldn't recommend as this is not my first time having poor customer service at this location.

Mussels are a go to here, nice patio and decent cocktails menu. Always worth it to stop by for a patio beer in the summer time if you’re around Vic Row

We really enjoyed ourselves. My wife truly enjoyed the Buddha Bowl and I had the Smoked Meat. Our server was very friendly. Very clean and cozy atmosphere. Great job!

Went in with a couple people and didn’t have a great experience. We were seated right away, and I told the host that there was a fifth person coming shortly and that we would need a table for five. We sat down and when the fifth person was close to the restaurant I told the man serving us that she was almost here. He then said that it might be an issue for the restaurant to put her at our table, and then he said he would see what he could do before leaving quickly. When she got to the restaurant and was standing by the table he passed, looked at us, and then left to see another table. Her meal was already ordered, and we told them ahead of time, but they found it an issue? Poor planning on their part, does not mean it’s going to be an issue on my part, so I got up and got another chair. When the food did come it was bland and basic in comparison to the prices and descriptions on the menu. Multiple order substitutions were wrong, extras were forgotten. When the food was dropped off, our drinks were empty at that point because we had been waiting for an hour, and he didn’t bother to give us refills or even to come back to check on us. By the end of the meal we still had not seen him, and we ate our meals with dry throats. We did however see him flirting with the girl workers around the restaurant. We finished and sat there for almost ten minutes before he noticed and came over with our bills. When he came over and gave us our bills, he left and we assumed he was coming back with a machine, so he waited at our table. He didn’t come after fifteen minutes so we got our stuff and went to go up to the bar but he stopped us and brought us back to the table and got a machine to charge us. We brought his attention to the issues with each order, he apologized and said he couldn’t do anything about it now. He offered no discounts, and wasn’t very sympathetic. We had assumed he had taken the extras off the bills which we didn’t receive, but he didn’t which we realized later after we left. We were in the restaurant for a little over two hours, when we only came for a quick bite. He was a tall man with a beard, black hair, he had a big build, and I think he might have been a manager. Didn’t catch a name. WORST SERVICE I’VE EVER RECEIVED.

Food was good and always lots of it. Staff was great and willing to go the extra to accommodate. Always a great choice

If Kevin Murphy can get away with visiting his various kitchens in town without a mask, why do all his staffs have to wear it? And why do you? It's irrational. You lose 2 stars.

Wow I wish I knew about this place earlier. Absolutely everything is incredible, the atmosphere, servers, food and cocktails. The steak sandwich is amazing, even the salad and fries are great. Seriously check this place out if you get a chance

A1 atmosphere, A1 staff service and their burger love special is a highly recommend. Oh and did I mention they made us a whole pitcher of Sangria. I mean who doesn’t love lot’s of booze. Prices are slightly high but it was worth the food and treatment

This is a nice place, depending on how you catch it. Most of the food was good, but some of it was a bit of a let down. Usually the steak sandwich is very good, maybe that night was a bad night for it. The patio is lovely but was full when we got there. The beer is served in huge glasses which was a plus! And their selection was very good and full of local favourites. The air conditioning was seemingly on full blast, making the inside colder than the fall evening outside, and when we asked about it there was no change. The dishes are definitely a bit expensive, and our meals took about an hour to come out, some being cold once they arrived.

LOVE this place! Beautiful patio, right downtown Charlottetown. Best place to sit back, have a cold drink, and just watch the afternoon go by. Of course, the best part are the Happy Hour Mussels: Our Go To: Spinach/Mushroom and Goat Cheese, with an IPA. Yum. And these folks are seriously the best in Customer Service!

I lived in Charlottetown for about two years, Only tried this classy restaurant once (on my last week in town), Literally Regret that why I didn’t tried it before, Drinks, Food, Environment of the restaurant Everything is great about this restaurant, we had Fish & Chips, Nachos, Wings, Burgers and alot of shots Believe me everything was so great.
