Kindred Spirits Inn & Cottages

Very relaxing cottages with self catering. On the other hand superior room’s with breakfast. Well located to reach everything in distance.

We stayed in the 3 bedroom/2 washroom cottage with our two young kids and it was great. Lots of space for them to play, both on the back deck and in the front yard, as well as in the communal playground. The service was fantastic and friendly. We originally thought we could walk with the kids to Cavendish beach, but it’s a little far so we ended up driving.

We had 20 buddies staying at the cottages and the Hurricane hit. They were super organized and insured that we were safe and able to still enjoy our trip. I’d go back in a heartbeat!

We stayed there for a night in September 2022 and picked this motel because of their high review rating. It was a disappointment. Room was small and room decoration was very old style.
We booked 9.15am breakfast but could only sit down until 9.30 even though tables were available. The waitress missed our order. The waitresses were busy chatting with other customers and completely ignored us. When I saw the chef coming out from the kitchen chatting, I knew something was wrong. The dining area was small and arrangement was unorganized.
The waitress apologized but there was no excuse. The delay caused us to miss their check out time at 10.30 a.m.
We will not return to the motel.

Lovely place, clean and quite. Staff were friendly and accommodating. Don’t miss the chance to sit by the fire and borrow one of the board games ️

Kindred Spirits Inn was just amazing. The friendly staff could not have made us feel more welcome. The Inn was homely, impeccably clean, the bed was comfy and facilities great. The hot tub and pool were an added bonus and camp fire on Saturday evening. We walked to Cavendish beach both mornings and came back to our delicious home cooked breakfast. Thank you, if I ever return from England, I’d love to come back for a longer stay. The staff go out their way to maintain the Inn and make your stay special.

A beautiful, well maintained property. Very polite staff. Our cottage had 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, 2 air conditioners and a private hot tub. The play structure was great for the kids. Giant chess was great for the adults and kids. The pool is heated! 5 stars!

My boyfriend and I stayed here and it was amazing! Best sleep we’ve had the whole trip, rooms were great and customer service was so helpful when we had troubles with the tv! A great environment all around. If we ever come to pei again we will definitely come back to stay a couple nights

This is my third stay. Drove 20 hours. We love the charm, staff, breakfast and rooms. So close to Green Gables. Hot tub! Two thumbs way up!

I’m travelling across Canada and all the hotels I’ve stayed are very similar but this place is different, magnificent. The staff is great, the room is clean, the breakfast is very nice and the girls from reception are very polite and friendly. Beautiful place to stay. Near the hotel you can go walking to a beach in a national park, which is beautiful. Go and see it yourself!

Outstanding customer service. After being stranded with a flooded camper in the pouring rain, Angela welcomed us warmly and made our stay feel just like home. We enjoyed room C with a king bed and jacousy! Extremely clean and beautifully decorated, our room felt calming and serene. Would recommend this place to anyone looking for a relaxing, comforting, stay with excellent customer service!

Beautiful, well maintained cottage - obviously a labor of love for the owners! A very quiet spot, no rowdy neighbors (the security on site makes sure of it!), right in the heart of Cavendish. Plus, it has a huge deck with a hot tub! Couldn't recommend it higher, we'll definitely be coming back!

Highly recommend! The staff is next to none, so friendly, so accommodating, the cottages are clean, comfortable, just like home. We had a hot tub and it was serviced every morning. Pricey but great home away from home. Would be nice to have your own firepit but understandable. Will be back

Great location. Very clean and updated cottages. Beautiful property. On our last night, the owners came around in the golf cart and dropped off fresh baked chocolate chip cookies as a thank you for staying. Will definitely be back.

Soon as i met the staff I felt like family. Beautiful spot all kinds of room to let kids free range safely, amazing park to play in and cleanest pool ive seen yet.

Great experience. Power went out during hurricane. But everyone (about 15 guests) managed. Had a very cozy living area where they served tea and assortments of cookies or desserts. Good breakfast each morning

This was our second trip to PEI and stay at Kindred Spirits. Four of us arrived the afternoon of September 9th.a day after Dorion hit / ravaged PEI and other areas of Atlantic Canada. Upon arriving, Dana advised that power had not yet been restored. Dan (owner) was outside with his staff cleaning up and assisting people at the Inn & cottages. Thankfully no-one was injured (or worse) during the storm. A BIG THANKS to Dan, Becky, Dana, Ryan, Joe, Guy and other Staff at Kindred Spirits who worked tirelessly to ensure we had another great stay. We love PEI and will definitely stay at Kindred Spirits again. We continue to recommend Kindred Spirits to family and friends.

We had a nice stay. The breakfast was delicious. The rooms are very clean. The bed was comfortable. Nice pillows and fluffy duvet.

We just finished spending a lovely weekend in PEI at Kindred Spirits and I cannot say enough good things about the venue. The cottages were cozy, roomy, comfortable and clean, as well the staff was very personable and friendly. For anyone new to PEI you are close to many of the big ticket tourist attractions, and best of all the price for accommodation was very reasonable. Would definately recommend.

Literally next door to the Green Gables Heritage Place, the Kindred Spirits was a delightful place to stay, and the staff was wonderful. Beautiful group is with a large open area for kids to play, and a great playground.

Our cottage was spacious and CLEAN. Would gladly stay a week if we could. Rates were great and the staff was beyond friendly. The grounds are pretty too, even a giant chess set for kids (+adults) to enjoy. Next time we go to PEI, we are definitely staying here again.

Beautiful and historic. We had a great night stay here, which was peaceful and relaxing. Located right next to the Green Gable, it's hard to not let the mind wonder back to the time of Anne.

The rooms are clean and facilites relatively modern, befitting of the designation of an inn.

Nice rooms, friendly people, big playground for kids, swimming pool hot tub are nice too. Close to a lot of attractions.

It's a lovely place in Cavendish, owners are very friendly and right besides green gable house.

We really enjoyed ourselves at kindred spirits. We visited and attended the Cavendish Beach Music Festival up the road. What a great location all around but especially for proximity to the CBMF venue! We stayed in cottage #1 and it was clean, well maintained and fully equipped with everything you need. The owners really care about their guests and keep the property looking pristine. We loved the fact that there were no rowdy parties, guests and staff were very friendly and respectful. We watched one ground keeper trimming and primping gardens from our arrival mid-afternoon until 9: 30pm at night! The passion in their staff shows in the entire customer experience here. We loved our time here and will be returning for another visit next time we vacation in PEI. Search all you want online but know that you get good value for your hard earned money here. People care, owners care and you will experience good old fashioned customer service here!

We had a wonderful, relaxing, and peaceful stay here at Kindred Spirits Inn. The staff was wonderful and inviting. The location was nestled in the woods that provided cool shading. The Inn is located off a busy road and golf course, but could not hear a thing. We were in the cottage, room I, which was perfectly located. This is a great place for families and has a playground for children. There is a pool and whirl pool outside, bikes to rent and more.

From this location we were able to venture out to see many of the local sites.

I still gave this place a five star rating but do have some other comments that are personal preferences. The bed in this room is very firm. My husband loved it, I prefer something less firm. So, I folded up the comforter the second night for more cushioning, and it was better. Second, the air conditioner is much too loud. First night we were able to just enjoy the nice cool night air. Last, they could use an end table next to the couch. These are not anything that others might even notice.
