I eat here at least once or twice a year. Yes, I am a local. Even though this place is now under new management, it continues to be a favorite of mine and to the many tourists that visit the quaint village of Victoria PEI. Food, view, location and people make this a must stop. The village has many other food and artisan options available.
We had the (original) lobster roll, seafood chowder that was on special for $25 Canadian. The side of wharf fries were excellent also.
You will not be disappointed.

It was right next to the sea, so the view was great. I had the lobster roll and steak sandwich, and the meat of the lobster went very well with the bread, and the taste of the fries was fresh and seasoned just right. The huge amount of salad that came with it is also healthy and fresh without objection. Definitely recommended!

This was a fabulous experience! Eclectic atmosphere, very friendly staff. The food was outstanding! This was the 'real' fresh seafood experience we were hoping to have, coming out to the east coast.

After hearing that this place had the best lobster roll on PEI, this was a no-brainer lunch stop. We very much enjoyed the lobster rolls, though I personally like them to have a little more tangy-ness. It has a great view, and incredibly friendly servers.

I wish I could give this restaurant more than 5 stars- it was THAT good! Food was top notch (best lobster roll I’ve had on our trip- and best lobster roll I’ve tried across all the Maritime provinces + Ontario)! Generous portions, fabulous atmosphere, and very calm sea side vibes. I really wish I didn’t live in Toronto, because I want to come back for seconds so badly! Thank you for the most wonderful last meal we had in PEI!

We have been on PEI for a few weeks now - an extended holiday and effort in relaxation. In doing so we have undertaken an effort to try as many different lobster rolls available at the plethora of restaurants open during the tourist season on the island. Yesterday we tried lobster rolls at The Lobster Barn on recommendation from a local we talked to on the southeast corner of PEI that we met the day before. She said they have the largest and best price lobster rolls she ever found. She was right - the lobster? Roll was very large and very good. My wife was unable to finish hers. I got the spicy lobster and bacon sandwich, which was much cheaper - probably because there was less meat on it. It was good but I wished I'd gotten the roll. The sauce on the roll was different than most we have had, as was the roll which was hardly toasted. We carried out because we had our dog who enjoyed a few of my fries. My wife's salad was refreshing and tasty, I should add. Overall it was good, but not the best we have had.

We walked past the line up for a lobster roll up the street and ended up and the lobster roll was absolutely delicious! We tried a few of the on the island and this one was the best we had.

We were told that the lobster rolls here are better than the nearby competitors & after having an extremely delicious Lobster Barn lobster roll, I would say " I need to have a of the competitors version because it's just too close to call!

Best Lobster rolls on the island.period! It makes for a great lunch, with the ability to walk around town after and visit all the small shops and studios or just enjoy wave watching.

Went here with my sister for our last dinner in PEI. We had the brie and crab dip to start. They were good, but dip needs more crab (felt more like a cheese dip) and Brie was a very small serving for the price. I had the scallops and bacon burger. I mistakenly thought it came with beef too, so was surprised at the small protein quantity I got. I got it with no bun, so it was more apparent how much meat you got. My fault for thinking beef came with it too.

My sister got the lobster salad and the lobster wasn' great. We couldn't eat it, and waited quite a while for our server. We had to get another server to find her. Our server then told us we should have told her earlier so the kitchen could have got something else made but it was too late now. Thing is, she disappeared so we couldn't tell her earlier as she wasn't around. From start to finish, we felt like an inconvenience to her.

The restaurant is in a lovely location and the salad dressing was delish! It has potential. We probably won't be back or recommend.

Excellent service, delicious food. What more could you ask for? Only complaint, my appetite wasn't big enough to try more items from the menu! Everything looked delicious!

We love the Lobster Barn - it is one of our favourites! The food is consistently delicious. Our family's favourite meals include the Lobster Burger with homemade mayonnaise, Fish and Chips, Barn Burger Platter, and the PO Boy Shrimp Sandwich. The salads and sweet potato fries are great. The carrot cake is the best we have ever had. The staff are excellent - friendly and helpful. We always look forward to the restaurant opening in May and hate to see it close in October!

Best lobster roll on earth. And their lobster mango salad belongs on a magazine cover! The twin owners decided to be as close to the lobster as they could, so they built the restaurant on the dock!

Food is always fresh and perfectly prepared. Great selections! Service is great.

Daily specials are a bargain, but come early - they sell out fast! And save room for home baked dessert!

I live in Victoria so may be a bit biased but in 10 years I have never had a bad meal here…in fact, I have never had a good meal here…their food is better than good, it is EXCEPTIONAL! Every meal is a piece of art and tastes even better! Wait staff are friendly and fun and make you feel at home. Strongly suggest making reservations but if you forget, take out is available. Lobster rolls and potato salad are amazing and coconut cream cheesecake is beyond!

Home of the #1 lobster roll you'll find on Prince Edward Island. Staff is very friendly, great service & prices can't be beat.

Food is super yummy with reasonable price as well given its mesmerizing location. Lobster rolls is a must-try and don't forget their coconut cake for dessert. I would definitely go back for some time.

Miam, que la poutine à l'homard était délicieuse. Il y avait plus de homard que de fromage en grain et la sauce était digne d'une bonne sauce riche et goûteuse. En prime on a pu manger sur la terrasse avec bue sur la mer.

Friendly servers, food served fast. The lobster salad was fresh and really delicious. Crowded with locals so it just be good.

Stopped in on our road trip and caught the end of season special - lobster roll and seafood chowder! Possibly the best lobster roll I’ll ever have! Wonderfully quaint decor, and a menu full of appetizing selections. The Lobster Barn is open May till about Thanksgiving, and seems to busy for most of that. Friendly and efficient service, and a great location on the wharf in lovely little Victoria. We got lucky hitting it in early October, when it’s less busy. Consider making reservations if you go.

The food was delicious. Best lobster chowder and PEI s best lobster roll we have ever eaten. A must for everyone who loves lobster. You will not be disappointed. Everything we ordered was amazing.

Cute little place on the pier. Beautiful sunset view. 2 of us dined on a busy Saturday night and had drinks and dinner within 20 minutes of being seated. Lobster taco on special full of meat and grilled pork sandwich. Fresh, fast and friendly place!

Lindsey was wonderful. The food was great, we had the muscles in traditional sauce for starters. Best I've ever had, sweet, delicious, tender, very little 'fishy' flavor. I had the clam burger. While my partner had the scallop burger. Both were wonderful, well seasoned. We split the coconut cheesecake for dessert. It was good, like all other commercial cheesecakes it was too sweet, as expected. The toasted coconut was flavourful, I enjoyed it very much, but if you are opposed to texture in your cheesecakes note this has texture.

We’ve had a lobster roll every day since coming to the island, and this one is hands down THE BEST! The roll comes with chunks of lobster not shredded pieces like many other places. It’s also the best value since it includes a side of delicious fries or the tastiest salad. A must stop:)

One of the best meals I've ever had and everyone at the table agreed. I had the bacon lobster roll with sweet potatoes fries and my wife had the lobster roll with salad. We started of with traditional mussels which were very well seasoned. The mains were great and the layering of flavours on the bacon lobster roll were to die for. Finished off the meal with a slice of cherry cheesecake which was also very good. Would recommend to anyone, just make sure you call well in advance for a reservation unless you want to wait a while. Atmosphere is relaxed and prices are very reasonable given the quality, service, and portions.

This must be some of the best seafood on the island. The lobster was incredible—cooked fresh off the boat (we actually saw it come off the boat). Service was super friendly. And the prices were surprisingly low! We’ll definitely return. It’s busy though; reservations are recommended.

This is our regular dining spot from May 1st through to the end of October when they close for the season. We have already been there 9 times this year and there are still three months to go.

A couple of salads that are entire meal, the Staff Salad and the Lobster Mango Salad. A lobster roll to die for. One piece of lettuce to protect the roll from becoming soggy and the rest is lobster with a home made sauce. Other great meals are their pan seared scallops, fish and chips as well as the Wharf Platter (a fine selection of seafood).

We've ate at a lot of places around PEI and we continue to be impressed each year when we go to the Lobster Barn. Is it possible the food just keeps getting better?

First visit to PEI and found this terrific little restaurant on the water in Victoria. What a great experience, excellent service and Food, from start to finish. My party said Lobster rolls and Lobster and Bacon sandwich were delicious and so was the Burger that I had. Thank you Lobster Barn for a Great experience!

Excellent. Son had the burger and fries, wife had the lobster roll & potato salad & I had the fish tacos. Potato salad was the best I’ve ever had. Portion size & quality were excellent. Wife also had a bowl of chowder. Was great. Best meal we had in PEI. Highly recommend.

This is a great little restaurant right on the wharf at Victoria, PEI. The place was started and still run, I believe, by a pair of sisters who know how to turn standard seafood into something really special. I had a bowl of their "three spice" PEI mussels. They were delicious. There are also a number of very good beers and ales on tap as well as available wines. Both indoor and outdoor seating, you won't go wrong here, I recommend it.

Had the lobster roll special (same roll but special side salad). Best lobster roll I've had to date. Big chunks of lobster on a warm, toasted bun with lettuce and a bit of mayo. Salad was very good, with blueberries and slightly too big chunks of feta. Traditionalists might mind that the mayo not mixed in with the lobster.

This was my favourite meal out for our 2019 Maritime visit and my all-time favourite lobster roll. It was fresh, chunky and had a delicious sweet sauce that complimented the lobster beautifully. The side salad was simple and featured fresh, delicious, locally grown produce and huge portion of fresh goat cheese. The service and our patio spot was A+. We were also able to leash our well-behaved pooch comfortably just outside the patio fence. Thanks to the Lobster Barn for such a lovely and delicious experience?

Excellent food. The atmosphere is very east coast and the staff makes sure that you are well taken care of, both times we were there. Make reservations in advance because they are busy.

The best lobster roll I had in PEI. The bun is toasted. The sauce is light and sweet. It didn't cover the lobster taste. The lobster meat are generous and fully loaded with any extra unnecessary ingredients. The seafood chowder is also excellent. Price is decent. Service is good as well. But this place is packed. So please go a bit early in order to have a seat.

Lobster rolls are stellar here and when our waitress said the food is quick she was not joking. Service is very fast once your seated; may have to be added to the waiting list but it's worth it for the food and the views!

I guess it was busy when we visited because they wanted to sit us on the balcony but we preferred to sit inside. They had one spot open but there was a reservation so the waitress said "If you can eat (in 45 minutes) and go! " I found it kind of rude but the other waitresses tried to be helpful. I mean, just say you're full, don't tell us to eat and go.

THE BEST LOBSTER ROLL.you will likely have to wait for a table. The reason for that is the food is great, the service is awesome, and the ambiance is why people come to Prince Edward Island! It's well worth your time!

A local lady recommended that we come here. The lobster roll was AMAZING! Fresh homemade roll and delicious sweet lobster meat. I want to go back to PEI just for another one.

Not enough stars for this place. Lobster burgers to die for. My hubby had pan fried haddock and a friend had the clams. Everything delicious

Had the traditional lobster dinner for under $30 Canadian. It was excellent, probably the best I've had in years!
Their Clam Chowder makes others seem so disappointing. Fresh taste and friendly service.
