Stop looking now - THIS is the place you want to spend your time at, during your visit to PEI! We found ourselves unexpectedly in need of a place to stay and we had no idea that our (crossed fingers!) last-minute-call to Mahmood, the proprietor of “Maplehurst Properties”, would lead to some of the best moments on our trip! It is a gem. A beautiful oasis that combines tranquility with elegance and beauty. The home is obviously loved. Cared for by thoughtful people who create loveliness in each room and pepper it with special touches.

We stayed in the gorgeous Charlotte Room which had its own veranda and a bathtub with jets. The breeze through the many windows and the comfortable mattress made for a restful sleep - preparing us to awake fresh for SCRUMPTIOUS breakfasts each morning (Italian arias drifting in the background) and enjoyment of the sitting room, study, screened in porch and private beach, in turn.

As other reviews will testify, Mahmood is the consummate host. His desire to create a memorable, calming and pampered experience for all his lucky guests is crystal clear. Welcoming, thoughtful, and one talented chef - Mahmood respects and values this place and the island itself. He is a kind and interesting person who contributes to the spirit of this place.

Have we made it clear? !? Whether it’s the perfect quiet of the evenings, the feel of the sand in your toes, the delicious breakfasts, the terrific hospitality or the beauty of the indoor spaces - “Maplehurst Properties” is the place to rejuvenate and reconnect. We can’t wait to come back.

OMG what an amazing place. We actually stayed at the cottage which was amazing. We had a mid morning coffee and snack at the house. You won’t be disappointed staying here.

Having traveled extensively at B&Bs in the four Atlantic Provinces we can say this is the best. The setting and the home are stunning. The host is even more endearing.

I spent a lot of time on PEI, and this Panmure Island getaway is a favourite spot.
