Ocean Acres Cottages & Campground

Tim let us stay even though they had closed the tenting sites for the season. He was so helpful, kind and friendly. Also the toilets and showers were really clean, would definitely recommend! Thanks so much Tim:)

This was a great choice for our 10 day stay on the island, July 2023. We were in a group and rented 3 cottages.

The cottages are cozy, and provide everything you need for comfortable place to rest our head at night after a busy day of touring. The beds and linens were very clean and comfortable. The kitchenette had everything we needed for the occasional meal in the cottage, and the bathroom was very clean. I'm glad the cottage had A/C, as we did have some very warm days and it really helped cool the cottage down to sleep at night.

The Deck restaurant was perfect, and convenient, we enjoyed a dinner there the night we arrived, also a lovely breakfast one morning, and I picked up a nice slice of cake to have with tea in my cottage one evening, treated the grandkids to an ice cream, on another day, and after being out and about for an entire day, my son in law ordered a pizza from the Deck and it was delicious!

Staff at the Deck restaurant and around the cottages and campgrounds were always very pleasant and kept the grounds clean, tidy and well groomed. We were able to do some laundry, as there is a laundry room on site and it was spotless.

The campers and cottagers were all respectful, and even when the campground was full, things were fairly quiet. The owner starts a fire at the fire pit (weather permitting) and it was nice to sit and chat with other travelers.
I would definitely stay at Ocean Acres again.

The grounds are well maintained. The restaurant is very good. Camping seems small, not sure I would tent camp. Trailer camping looks ok. The cottages themselves are small and cozy. They have ac which is a plus. Wish they didn’t charge for extras like kayaks. Overall it is a good place to stay.

I called for information and wondered if we booked a cottage and a tent if we could eat in cottage with our children that would sleep in tent and was told "NO. No more than 4 people in a cottage because of fire regulations. " Good thing they were full when I wanted to book later. It was raining and I found a cottage for less money, where we could all sleep inside and very friendly and common sense service.

Ocean Acres is highly recommended, we love it. Clean facilities, great restaurant and staff/ owners who go above and beyond for a great experience. We have been 3 times from Ontario and will be returning in 2023!

A great family run business, helpful and friendly. Food at the on site restaurant was convenient and tasty. Generous amount of firewood was delivered to our campsite. This is a quiet part of the island, about an hour to Charlottetown.

Stayed here a week or so ago and really enjoyed our experience. The restaurant on site was very convenient and had good food. Staff were very friendly. The bathrooms and showers were clean. The pool was clean and not too busy. The only downfall is that the sites are quite small and do not offer any privacy. Overall a really nice spot, I would stay again and consider the cabins for more space and privacy. Would recommend this campsite.

Love this place. Owners are extremely friendly. Love there fish and chips. Done in the air fryer and it is amazing, cooked to perfection each time. You should also try there home made desserts. We will keep on returning.

Did not stay, visited The Deck Restaurant and it was great! Wonderful breakfast and great service! We’ll be back.

Great food, excellent service, direct access to snowmobile trails. Awesome place to stay ill be back for sure.

I only stopped in for a quick snack while out for a drive and was greatly disappointed. The food was overpriced for the quality. Nothing home made. Much better options for food in close proximity.

So, what a perfect place to spend some time with cherished friends! Clean and comfort for sure! Owners superb and friendly, always available to chat, ask questions and made us feel so welcome! The restaurant on site has a fantastic menu! Affordable prices and made with home made deserts!

Really nice fire area with burning pit. The cabins have everything in them, just like home, beds slept very good, not one complaint at all, and the owners were gracious and over the top kind!

A great stayvacation

We thoroughly enjoyed our 3 nights at Ocean Acres. Best staycay ever! Staff are so welcoming, our lot was perfect, sheltered and quiet, loved the pool and kayaking the cove. Absolutely recommend the tidy intimate campground to anyone needing a rest.

This place was awesome! Beautiful grounds and a heated salt water pool! Lovely owners that work very hard, to make sure you have a comfortable stay!

Lovely little spot. We were only here for lunch as not too many places were open as it was mid October. They were serving turkey dinner and it felt just like the best home cooked meal. The staff were lovely too.

Great accommodations. Clean and modern. Owners are wonderful and attentive.and the restaurant is great. Would go back in a heartbeat!

We had lunch on the desk with my mom visiting from Germany.
The fish and chips with all the different sides as well as the chowder were exellent. Leslie topped it with a strong European coffee and her desserts. Thank you so much for the perfect service.

Very peaceful and quiet place. The scenery is beautiful and the sites are very nice. The Deck restaurant has excellent food at great prices, ice cream and homemade pies. The staff and owners are fantastic people, friendly and helpful and make you feel very welcome. Well worth the value for the stay.

Friendly owners, clean cottages on the water, restaurant on site, pool and kayak rentals too! Worth the stay if you're in the area

After putting ourselves in a tough situation through being unprepared we ended up here. And what luck it was. We arrived as they were shutting down but they kept the restaurant open so we could eat a late supper which was delicious. They gave us the last camp site and provided us with towels, shampoos and even pillows. We were sorely unprepared and the service was nothing but incredible and far beyond what anyone could expect. It was so gracious and through all my travels I have never been treated so well.

You won't find a more accommodating, & friendly place in eastern PEI. The staff members are courteous and kind, and the food is beyond exceptional. Located on such a picturesque property you can enjoy a great meal with a fantastic view of the river. Spend a night in one of their beautiful cabins or bring a camper or tent. Enjoy a leisurely kayak ride or a dip in the pool. All are greeted and welcome to attend their nightly bonfires beside the river and share some laughs or keet some new friends. You wont be disappointed

Ate at The Deck and loved everything! Nice sitting in a screened in patio, super friendly staff, amazing food, and no deep fryer! $24 for 2 burger platters, with drink, and dessert is a steal. Love this place, and will be back lots!

My husband and I stayed here about two years ago on our honeymoon and the staff were super accommodating despite our late arrival. The weather was perfect (not that that would affect our opinion) and we thoroughly enjoyed hanging out by the campfire and roasting marshmallows by the riverside. Loved every minute of it!

Nice spot which is family owner and a great location. Heat pumps/ac was a must and they had them. Very neat little restaurant which is fully licensed and also meshed in so you can enjoy a Sri k on the deck without being pestered by those mosquitoes!

Definitely will be back.

Had a super tasty and very affordable lunch at The Deck restaurant. Ice cream was also a very generous portion for the price. Nice view as well.

We had a fantastic night at Ocean Acres. Friendly staff - welcoming and helpful. It was nice to wake up to the river view in the morning. We weren’t far from the ferry at Wood Island so we could sleep in! The cabins are amazing and cozy. Everything was so clean and the cabins were fully stocked. This is a great place to stay for a few nights if you want to enjoy the coastal drives and lighthouses along the eastern shore. We also really enjoyed the food at The Deck, the restaurant on site. Great experience overall!

One of the worst camping place in PEI, never ever go there. They have so many rules, you cannot do anything. You feel like you are staying in someone's courtyard not in the camp ground. I was there with my whole family but lady who works there is not so kind. Fire work place sucks, ground sucks, and you have no any privacy. It is open and everyone can see it. There are so may other campgrounds near by this camp ground, that are better, great facilities, better fire works and best deal as well. Price is same. ZERO RATING. We left that place within 2 hours and moved to Somers by the beach- one of the best. Good luck!

My family and I visited ocean acres. It is truly a family run, small business. The owners were kind, hospitable and very very accommodating to any requests we had. The cabins were clean, beautifully decorated, and well stocked. THEY EVEN PROVIDED WIFI! How many camp grounds even do that? ! The pool was beautiful and kayaking in the harbour was beautiful. The new game room was great when the kiddo got bored on the playground (in between being in the pool the entire time). The food was also great, it was nice to both have a kitchen and have the option to grab burgers, fries and so much more from the deck, it was especially nice to get out of the sun. In the evening they even put a bonfire on for all their guests. It was the perfect way to end each night! Thank you for a wonderful experience we can’t wait to plan our next road trip there!

The site was great! It was scenic, peaceful and clean, and offered so much more than we expected. It was truly the perfect balance of classic cottage life and modern amenities. It was great to have the little things like air conditioning and a heated outdoor pool, but what really blew us away were the owners. Sharon, Tim, and Leslie went way above and beyond in making us feel welcome and catering to us and our children. They spent time with all of the guests daily at the bonfires touching base with us about our visits, recommending spots on the island to visit and some great recommendations. I never realized how much of a difference good staff can make until we spent a week there. We're totally going to book again with them in the future!
