We visited this place for lunch while in Charlottetown, and we ended up enjoying one of our best culinary experiences. The quality of the food, the service and the atmosphere were really great. The prices are so reasonable. Definitely deserves a 5 star.

This IS The "GO TO" Restaurant if you want amazing food in Charlottetown.and we found it quite by happenstance.

The parking lot was jam packed but there is plenty of parking in the adjacent strip mall.

Quite busy inside and we had about a 20 minute wait before being seated.but once we were, it didn't take long to get food & drink to the table.the servers FLY in this place so tip them well.

Bacon Cheeseburger was awesome and According to my better half, it was THE BEST Lobster Roll during our 10 day trip to PEI/Nova Scotia.so that's saying something.

Fries are handcut and served hot & crispy. I can't imagine that they aren't PEI Potatoes. The side of gravy was plentiful, but it was hard to tell what flavour was used.possibly a mix of chicken or vegetable stock or something else.but definitely suitable for fries.

No room for dessert, so can't comment on their offerings.

My first time and very impressed. Fabulous menu. Very friendly helpful staff. Food was delicious. I was in a group of 10 and everyone enjoyed their meals!

Was a great restaurant. I had the lobster roll was so good. But my daughter had the fish and chips amd the fish came out looking like janes chicken strips. She tried it and it was a really gross taste and was soggy. Told the waitress and her response was well thats how we make it. She acted offended amd asked is if we wanted something else amd my daughter did not that food made her not want to eat anything else. In end she gave 50% off that even though she had one bite from it and nothing else. Not impressed with the customer service

This place doesn't disappoint, other than sometimes hard to get a table there, but when you are doing things right it makes sense.

Excellent food, atmosphere and service. We went on a busy evening and we're in and out within an hour after enjoying two delicious meals.

We were here twice during our four-night stay. Our first visit was for lunch. I had the Rigatoni Bolognese with Italian sausage and it was fantastic! My husband had the steak sandwich and loved it. The pasta was a huge serving, the steak sandwich just the right amount. Our server was very friendly and attentive.
Our second meal was dinner. I had the Mediterranean platter (pictured). It was a flavour festival. Everything was paired perfectly. My husband enjoyed the steak sandwich so much he had it again. It was very busy for dinner, we are in the bar area. Service was good. The owner was present and greeting guests.
I would recommend Papa Joes for the wonderful variety of dishes and friendly service. We will definitely go back.

A very pleasant dining experience, staff was very pleasant and especially the dishes proved to be outstanding!

The wait time was 30 minutes. That's acceptable for walk up at 5: 30 pm. The seating was quick and friendly. The service was fast and the staff was very friendly and efficient. The food was hot and delicious when it arrived. I highly recommend going to Papa Joe's when you are in Charlottetown PEI.

I tried to call and make an order. The lady that answered had an attitude and said in a snarky tone that they can’t do the cheese dip to go. I wouldn’t have had an issue with it if it was said in a polite manner.

Had dinner after a round of golf. First time for 3 of the 4 dining. All enjoyed the meal and said we'd return.

Amazing atmosphere with friendly staff. The food was amazing and reasonably priced for the portion size. Would recommend anyone to go and we will be returning!

Magnifique restaurant familial et très belle ambiance. La nourriture est excellente ainsi que le service.

A great lunch out for my family. Would recommend it if someone wants to get away from the tourist inflated prices in Charlottetown. The booth was spacious and comfortable. My wife and I had the seafood chowder which was so delicious that one of my daughters stole most of mine. My other daughter had a burger from the kids menu which cost $8 and came with fries, a drink and an Oreo cookie. Jodie the server was amazing. Finally, I ordered a coffee ️ and it came with free refills. A great experience!

Excellent restaurant. I had a really good lobster roll. Another in the group had the Turkey Dinner special. It was very good.

We ordered the ahi tuna poke bowl and the herb & garlic linguini with scallops. The food came so fast - it must have been at our table less than 10 minutes after we ordered. I was very impressed by that. It was all tasty and the serving size was large. I think the pasta was a bit too saucy - a personal preference. Overall, we had a nice experience at Papa Joe's!

I've driven by this place for several visits to the island and overlooked it. Well today was our first visit, excellent service and food. Highly recommended!

The service at this restaurant was amazing. The second we sat down we had water at our table & our cups never went empty. I got the butter chicken oh wow. It was probably the most tender chicken I have EVER had! It was such a flavourful dish & wasn’t spicy if you don’t like spicy meals. My husband got the braised beef but substituted the potatoes out with a garden salad. The meat was sooooo tender! For dessert I got the brownie sundae & my husband got the chocolate torte & let’s just say we were licking the plates clean. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone that wants delicious food!

ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! Wife and I stopped in for lunch today, she had a Club Sandwich I had the Chicken Avocado Burger, both with Zatar Fries as the side. The restaurant looked amazing inside, service was phenomenal and the food.best I have EVER had! Everything was cooked perfectly and I could not find 1 things to criticize! The zatar fries were out of this world and unlike anything I have had before! Thank you all so much!

Food was Fantastic! We had Club sandwich with fries and lemon haddock meal, the quality of the food is amazing, portions are huge. Definately will come again. It's like home cooked at home. Lots of flavor. Great choices and substitutions or side upgrades.

First visit there. I had the steak sandwich and it was excellent. We were a group of 9 during lunch time and the service was great, everyone was satisfied with their food and we had a great time! Will definitely go back to try other menu options!

We are frequent flyers there. Love the atmosphere! Know some of the staff which makes for an enjoyable experience. But even if you didn't know any staff you would be treated with fast, friendly service and great food! 5* out of 5!

Food is great and reasonably priced for what you get. I got combination of quality and quantity. Always friendly staff and owners as well

The mussels are good.
The Thai haddock is good.
Did not like the "Blue Lobster" cooler.
Service and staff are great and food came out quickly.

Big portion, possibly the biggest lobster roll I have ever had this year, a little bit cheaper than other restaurants as well. But there is a lot of room for taste improvement, especially the side caesar salad. Seafood chowder is as good as expected. Neat and clean setting with professional and friendly staff.

Not bad. Good service. I just don’t like the vegetables under the lobster roll. Overall it’s alright

This place is a gem. The owners are very nice, the food is awesome (consistently), the options for kids are great, and the service is exceptional.

I have food intolerances and this place has loads of gluten free options.

Highly recommended.

They have a complete menu and the food is sooo delicious! I could smell it from outside.
Plus their servers are so nice and attentive.

“1st day lunch”

My family was trying to explore nice places in PEI and really enjoyed all food even draft beer pf PEI. My son loved Pasta Bolognese. Lobster rolls was pretty good with good tasty bread. All is good enough to try to.

“2nd day lunch”

I was really disappointed with the staff. She was just cutting while I was ordering additional beer and cleaned up anther table.

I’m not her neighbor nor a resident in PEI. Even not Canadian. Just tourist here. The experience in this time was the most awful during I have been visiting so many restaurants in Canada, the U. S, Europe countries and Asia countries.

Basically what I’m saying is food were superb with nice staffs (on the first day) but a certain staff? I’m not sure. You should wish your luck with staffs there.

All food I had was amazing anyway.

The food here never disappoints, amazing cooked from scratch and excellent flavour. The short ribs and tata fries are a must have! Will come again, excellent service as-well.

Pleasantly surprised by the depth of flavour! Fast and friendly service. We ordered calamari, nice start, the beef ribs were a favourite, perfectly tender with a mouthwatering gravy, burger was satisfying and well seasoned, and the butter chicken was very nice, accompanied by basmati rice, fragrant with cardamom. Everything we ordered was great - would recommend!

I've been in PEI for just over a month and honestly, the best meal we had so far, and we have been to a hand full.

The Meat N Badaydas ($20) was delicious! I loved the beef and salad! Had a great experience there.

Amazingly delicious food! The Mediterranean plate is my favorite, but I can't wait to try everything else on the menu. Between the excellent food, friendly staff, and cosy decor, a wonderful place to go. A popular place, so if you want to sure to get a table, call ahead and make a reservation. So worth it!

The restaurant had a spectacular atmosphere. The servers were wonderful and the food was superb.

Great food and atmosphere, service was a little slow but friendly they were very busy with take out orders. They all they could do.

Very nice place, has a nice size menu. Will kept and nice staff. If you want good local food from local owner and a place to have a conversation with others this is the spot.

Great food and service. Ate here as a family of 5. Oysters were fresh and delicious. Bruschetta was some of the best ever eaten. Had the Ahi poke bowl, and the Mediterranean seafood bowl. Really enjoyed everything! Last meal in PEI, would highly recommend.

The waitress was amazing here as was the service. The halibut was tasty and the fries were crisp (albeit a little dry). The grind burger was exceptional according to my companion.

Service was amazing and food was amazing and well priced. Very beautiful decor as well. Staff was super friendly and super helpful. The restaurant was super underrated. Hope to go again one day:) definitely recommended to anyone who loves fish especially

Did not dislike. Caesar salad was excellent. Wife's seafood chowder great. Menu limited and missing some meal selections for "plain folk". Too esoteric

Visited last evening. First time eating here. I ordered the chicken and it was heavily breaded with few vegetables. On the menu it appears it's going to be healthy however, the chicken was heavily deep fried. I would have loved to know this before ordering as I would never have ordered that. I picked the breaded skin off as best I could, and the waitress did not question if I liked the meal or not. We will not return. I paid $23+ for two chicken strips essentially with disgusting rossitto. This meal should have been $15. It was nothing more then fastfood.

Food is very good and the environment is very friendly. Definitely a family restaurant with renovated interior. The Goddess burger is highly recommended. The fries are in the dry side so have it with ketchup or hot sauce.

Great service. Our server was very friendly and even joked around with us. The food was devine and large portions. The atmosphere was very cozy. We had a large group with three kids and they seemed very accommodating towards us.

My favorite restaurant. Great food and very quiet. I am hearing impaired but have no problem talking to family in this Restaurant. Prices are good.

Great meal today at lunch time with some retirees from WCB and one other lady that is still working there with me.

Food was alright, would potentially go back if ever we were on the island again. Front of house staff on the other hand are the reason the rating is so low.

We had told both front of house staff members a number but turned out we were short by 1 or 2, both front of house staff were extremely rude and impatient making rude remarks and being all around rude. Once our table was ready he simply threw the menus on the table and walked away as I asked for a booster for my child after advising them before we were even seated we would need one. When I followed him back to the front of house he ignores me while the lady whom was behind the desk raised her hand at me as if she was telling me 1 second.

As someone who has worked in the industry for many years and whom is visiting, I found it made our entire experience negative.

My only suggestion, get your food to go so you don't have to deal with the staff:)

My cousin couldn't eat her fish. It was old. We went to celebrate our birthday. Had a hard time finding something we could order. No basic food. Everything seemed very ". Gourmet" for our palette. I am on special diet & need food void of special sauces & breading. My parents would never eat there. They used to enjoy it in the past.

A group of friends and I were in recently and the food was incredible, great atmosphere and friendly staff. I love this place! One of the best places to eat in PEI.

I enjoyed an absolutely delicious meal at Papa Joe's the last time I visited Charlottetown. Friendly staff and one of the best falafel burgers I've ever had. Loved the house coleslaw on the side. Will be back (to take a photo because I ate my food to quickly)!

Looking forward to a lovely romantic dining experence in their beautiful dining room, ended up being pushed into their sports bar. A real downer. Other than that the food was great.service too.

A very good family restaurant owned and operated by a Charlottetown family for many years. Recently updated. A private dining room is available. I have been there a number of times and the food and service has always been very good. The restaurant is always busy at meal times and a reservation is suggested for groups of 6 or more. The atmosphere is always cheerful with happy chatter among the diners. There is a large parking lot on site, no fee for parking. It also has a full service bar.

We booked on Dec 29 for a large group. It is our parents favorite place, so we wanted to take them to Papa Joes. There was over 20 of us and there was another group booked right after us, so we only had 2 hours. It was great. Every one got their meal at once. No one felt rushed.food was hot and service was great! We were very happy with everything! !

Excellent service! The interior has has a big remodel since I was last there and looks great.

Delicious food- I had the goddess burger and it was just as good as they say.

Also enjoyed a Moscow Mule, which is my favourite but I don't often see it on drink menus. It came in the signature copper cup so I was one happy camper.

Only downside to the experience was the womens washroom. Put garbage cans in stalls for feminine hygiene products. Its such a basic to miss. No one wants to go in and see and of that on the floor.:/

Great food but very slow service! Had reservations for 6pm, group of 20.didn't take orders until 645 and no food until 730pm.
