Partake at your own risk. This establishment does not appear to care at all about their image when customers enter. Dining area with all chairs flipped up on the table, lighting fixtures hanging from the ceiling only by exposed electrical wiring.leaking ceiling into bucket right by front counter. Only one menu available that is falling apart and taped to the counter. It took one look into the state of the kitchen behind the front desk to realize the only thing I’d get from this joint was likely food poisoning. I left without risking it. Another potential customer must have gotten the same vibe because they left right after arriving as well.

They don’t answer their phone if they don’t feel like it and they try to close early if no one’s around. You can stand inside the restaurant for 10+ minutes before someone takes your order. They take the phone off the hook when they don’t feel like working. Borden location.

While on vacation, I called in the afternoon to find out hours for the day and they said open until 8: 00. When I called before 7 to place an order, there was no answer. Called again a fee times after and again, no answer.

Just got takeout so can't speak to the atmosphere. But the food was delicious. I will definitely be back

I tried a few meals and seem to be only ordering the classic beef donair with sweet sauce. Pizza is ok and dinning in isn't recommended.

Mixed feelings.

When I buy food from a restaurant I look for quality and consistency. Both of which are difficult to find here sometimes. Not to say that it isn't here, but it's definitely not whenever I order.

My biggest concern and reason for reviewing is food safety and the questionable hygiene/upkeep of this location

My most recent visit was for a pickup order.
After I arrived, a staff member came back from the kitchen to process my order. The person processing my payment was wearing the gloves they came from the kitchen wearing. After my order was processed, they returned to the kitchen work without removing the gloves they used to touch the cash and debit machine. This same person was the one to assemble my order after I paid.

From the checkout counter, you could see the kitchen is visibly grimy. This matches the grimy and run down appearance of the dining area. Though, the dining area gets a bit of a pass on my eyes as we live in a rural area and in the aftermath of the Covid-19 restrictions it doesn't appear the dining room is used much if at all.

Another experience that leaves me questioning my decisions to spend money at this location is regarding portion sizes. More than once, when ordering a pizza with extra toppings I have received a very sad idea of what that might be. At the very start, I expect any pizza place to outshine what I can get on a delicio grocery pizza. Or at the very least.out shine little Caesars
When the amount of toppings recieved on a pizza charged as "double pepperoni" is less than what you get on a discount pizza and for double or triple the price it's really hard not to feel ripped off. Especially since prices are still going up!

I'm a fairly conflict adverse person
And as much as I'd like to call someone out for poor hygiene practices or questionable portions; Especially when it comes to my food. I simply cannot find it in me. There are many factors in situations like these and just to blatantly call someone out isn't fair to them. Plus, to decline an order and to ask for refund based on the staff practices/portions only leaves me at a disadvantage since I have a hungry family at home expecting me to return with food.

This Pizza & Donair hub location is so close to my house that the convenience weighs heavily in my decision making if I plan on ordering food. The downside is I feel like every time I order here I take a gamble with my money and with my health.

On the bright side.

The staff are friendly and are willing to modify your order within reason.
The place is open later than most things in the area which is also nice.

I just really would like to feel a bit safer eating here.

Ordered Donair egg rolls, they were hard as rocks almost broke a tooth biting into one! Almost like they were cooked, frozen and re cooked 5x over. Also did not include Donair sauce with the egg rolls. Ordered a small onion rings and they were barely cooked, waited 20 min. For 2 Donair egg rolls and barely cooked onion rings. The girl at the cash was rude, and there was no option not to tip on the debit machine that I could find. Over priced for the amount of food, and terrible quality & service. Will not order again. The pizza and Donair hub in Summerside is amazing and never have issues there, but avoid this Borden location!

Service is the worst I've ever seen. They rolled their eyes and sigh if you ask for a bag to hold everything they give you. They almost never have what's on the menu and decide to wait until you come pick up your order to tell you they don't have it. The food is mediocre at best, added with the bad service makes it terrible.

Not a lot open, found this place for our daughters birthday dinner. Ordered Chicken Tenders with fries for both kids, chicken was amazing and portion size great. We (adults) had the Ultimate Donair Pizza and it was devoured it was so good! Thank you! You guys rocked customer service and great food In Borden-Carleton PEI!

Best donairs for sure! My boyfriend got a donair platter and I was so jealous when he opened his takeout dish. Definitely returning:)

My general experience here can be summed up by the last order. Fish and chips for two people. 3 Fish sticks, 10 fries, all in one take out container with the salad in the top.

Had a garlic finger for my kids and meats pizza for my wife
Was so good.
