You ruined lobster rolls for anyone else. My wife and I did the climb at the tower then sat on the deck and had both kinds of rolls at that amazing setting. A real point changer in someones life. She is still talking about it.

Lobster roll was really good! Take out style service was meh. Don't have 18%+ minimum tip option on the terminal if I'm doing the server's job. Don't get me wrong, Staff was great.

Amazing little spot! Seafood chowder and vegan chowder were really good. Lovely views to enjoy while enjoying your meal.

My husband and I had the lobster rolls and seafood chowder, they were the best we have tasted in the East Coast.

What a gem! Next to the lighthouse at the end of a red dirt road. You can almost feel the sea spray on the deck. Great food, friendly service and a great view. What more do you want?

Incredible. First night we had the steamer pot, so delicious, the crab legs were particularly amazing. So good we had to go back for round 2, fishermans's pasta, just as good if not better than the first meal. Super chill music and atmosphere, stunning seaside view. Food came out wicked fast each time, super friendly service. I would drive out of my way to go to this place again next time I'm on the island.

I was excited to come here after hearing so many great things but was pretty underwhelmed by the food. I ordered the "summer pasta" which was store bought linguine covered in butter with minced garlic (very little flavour for the amount of garlic suspect it was the garlic from the jar) with some spinach and a few halved cherry tomatoes. You can't add any options to this so I asked for some bacon on the side as one of their menu items contains bacon but was told that wasn't possible. It would've been nice to be able to add bacon and/or chicken for a fee. This dish was extremely bland and oily. I had to add salt, pepper to make it edible. My husband had the seafood version and it wasn't much better. Maybe stick to the chowder if you come here, I've heard good things about it. Great rustic atmosphere and right on the water so nothing to complain about there.

Dined here in 2016 and very much enjoyed it. Unfortunately the prices have gone up and the quality down. The chowder is average and there are far better options for lobster roll on the island. I will return next year as I hope this is a one-off and 2023 marks a return to form.

The best and most unique restaurant I've ever been to. Located at the very end of a dirt road right on the edge of the ocean. We were lucky to have been there on a warm sunny day in September. The service was quick and the lobster roll was spectacular. My husband had the pulled pork grilled cheese sandwich, and he said it was out if this world! Afterwards, we walked to the lighthouse nearby and even walked up to the top. Just a beautiful place to be, so if you are in the east side of PEI, this is a must.

The most amazing steam pot, martini’s and bread pudding to die for. We drove all the way from Ontario for our meal. Gracious hosts, spectacular view, a meal like no other. Thank you again Karen and Paul!

Wonderful seafood and chowder. We always get the lemon and cream mussels. The chowders are generous and delicious. The pasta was phenomenal. The prices are reasonable and the views are spectacular. The owners are a lovely friendly couple as well. A can’t be missed restaurant on PEI. Well worth the drive out.

My husband and I came here last year and had a lovely meal and were looking forward to coming back all year.
Unfortunately, this was not a positive experience.
We ordered the seafood and clam chowder with a biscuit, a buttered lobster roll, and the house salad.
The seafood chowder was excellent as was the biscuit. The clam chowder was not. All we could taste was potato.
The lobster roll had far too much lettuce in it.
The fresh herb dressing was too thin and didn’t cover the salad (which was predominantly iceberg lettuce) which resulted in a very bland salad. I’m happy to pay for good food. This was not that and not worth my $80+.
I approached the owner after our meal to share our experience, as I feel a few small tweaks would make all the difference for future guests and he told me he was eating his lunch, making it clear he did not want to speak to me.
Overall disappointing. Won’t be back.

Such a lovely spot, a must experience on the island. Deck awesome, lots of ambiance with curtains and lights.and the sea air, the waves, the sun if you're lucky, but even with clouds it's a great experience. Indoor dining as well, if reservations. If not, outdoor dining available.

Be aware, this place is busy! We love chowder and we were told that this place had the best chowder on the island but it was very out of the way. Because it was so off of the beaten path we did not expect to see the volume of guests being served. Of course we had not made a reservation. But we were not turned away. We were told that we could order from the takeaway window and enjoy our food at the tables by the water. This option was perfect for us. Our order arrived within a reasonable time even though it was super busy. We had the chowder, of course, and a biscuit. The chowder was good, but not the best on the island for sure. It was pretty watery but it was loaded with potato and fish and very tasty. The biscuit was very good. It was a well sized portion that was warm and came with a pat of butter. Overall, the experience was not too disappointing but we found the food very overpriced. $13.95 for a small bowl of chowder and $2.95 for the biscuit. We will not be back.

The reviews are pretty accurate. Excellent clam chowder and the grilled cheese with pulled pork was beyond expectations - by a lot. Who'd a thought. View is incredible, service friendly and efficient. Prices are fair.
Would have loved to try the actual dine in experience but that was fully booked a month out. Can understand why.
Absolutely worth the drive!

This was a total surprise find. We were driving down this dirt road to check out the lighthouse (visiting from Calgary) and came across this cute little restaurant at the end of the road. We had no idea it was even there so surprised they asked us for reservations. We didn’t have any but we were able to order take out and enjoy sitting outside on the picnic tables instead. The food came out quickly and was delicious. Even enjoyed a nice glass of wine. We went with a basic grilled cheese which was good. It’s a beautiful spot to soak up the water, views and just relax.

I've always loved this place but when we went for tge first time this year it was different. No inside dining and the ekderly lady I was with doesn't handle the heat very well and we had to sit outside at picnic tables, place our order at a window and get our own water and pick up our food when it was ready. The prices have gone way up. We both needed a rest room after traveling and hour to get there but in order to use a rest room we would have had to request admittance and be let inside to use tge bathroom. We just decided to eat quickly and go down the road to a convenience store. I won't be back. Too bad. This was one of my favorite places. Karen who owns the place and who has always been so kind and such a great hostess wasn't even very friendly this visit. All in all it wasn't a good experience at all. Sorry.

The dichotomy between take-out andreservation-only fine dining ruins the experience of going to a little local business. They are successful, they know it and they capitalize ont it. Lobster roll was perfect, though.

Best chowder and beautiful view of the ocean and lighthouse. We got take out because they were full for dine-in (must reserve online) but they have picnic tables right outside of their patio. The dine-in menu has more seafood selection and we will definitely be coming back to try it!

We didn't actually eat here - it was way too crowded. We walked around it and visited the beach next to it, which was very nice.

What a wonderful experience! From the unbelievable view, to the music and ambience, our dinner at prim point was fantastic. The food is phenomenal and our server Melissa was absolutely lovely! The lobster roll is the best we had while on the island! Would recommend to anyone looking for the whole east coast package.

All I can say is wow. This place blew me away! The food was amazing, I ordered the Buttered Lobster Rolls for my appetizer and the Fisherman Pasta for my entrée (forgot to take a picture of that one lol). The Lobster Rolls are incredible! They made my day (my first time trying them). I absolutely love it and highly recommend this place, this is a must go to!

We grabbed takeout here on our way to the ferry. It was fairly quick and tasted AMAZING! One of my favourite spots we ate on the whole island. We are already planning to leave enough time whenever we return to ensure we have can enjoy the beautiful view.

Amazing views, excellent food and great service. There were many things on the menu that I still want to try. I guess I'm going back

J'étais venu avec des amis il y a trois ans et nous avions adoré notre expérience. Je suis revenu cette année et j'adore toujours. Fruits de mer frais, service impeccable, vue directe sur la mer et sur le phare de Point Prim. Bref je recommande chaleureusement. Dommage qu'ils n'ouvrent pas plus tard dans la soirée pour voir le coucher du soleil et profiter d'un bon repas.

Amazing food and relaxing place. Probably the best restaurant we went in PEI. The owners even go talk to you to make sure everything is perfect. I don’t normally order salmon because it’s kinda expensive, but I did it here and tbh, I did not regret my choice. If you are looking for the best local restaurant, located at less than one foot from the beach, THIS IS THE PLACE.

Excellent, friendly service with delicious food and fantastic view! Kudos to our server, Gabby, and owners, Karen and Chef Paul. Yum! The rhubarb panna cotta was a light, not too sweet desert that finished our meal perfectly!

Very good location beside strait / lighthouse, and view particularly if you sit outside. Reservations a good idea. Food was good. One family member has the Ultimate Clam dish.excellent. Others has oysters, also good. Fish (pieces with cornmeal breading) and potato chips not traditional but tasty.

What a unique experience. For a drive not that far out of the way, this place is sweet. Unreal food and great view, even on a cloudy, windy day.

Food was amazing! (Chunks of Lobster & melted Brie on fried sourdough for me & Bronzed Salmon with corn salsa for hubby. So yummy). Setting is a peaceful, relaxed outdoor venue right beside the ocean and next to the Point Prim Lighthouse. Great for good weather dining. Wine & beer available but limited selection (no tap water).
You select the menu items on paper and then turn it in to order. You are given a buzzer when your order is ready for pick up.
Staff was friendly, food was ready very quickly and while waiting, walk around on the little beach or just contemplate life gazing over the ocean. We'll be going back!

You could not ask for a better outdoor dinning experience. The weather was made to order only the way the island can do it and the seafood was amazing. The baked oysters were the best I have ever had muscles done in different types of broth or sauces as well as clam or seafood chowders made to everyone's liking. I am already looking forward to next summer because as of the 27th of September they will close for the season. Thank you to owners and staff for such wonderful memories.

The seafood chowder was superb. Lots of seafood meat, pulled pork melt was delicious as well. A must try when in PEI! -from someone from Halifax.

Definitely the perfect venue for dining by the seaside. Very popular place. Reservations required- online only. Seafood linguini was a favourite with one of our guests. The Lobster roll was tasty but not my favourite on the Island. Too many extras in the lobster meat.

5 stars for the view. One of the best views at a waterfront restaurant on the island. The chowder was amazing. One of the best chowders on the island. The lobster roll was just lobster on a bun, was supposed to have butter on but came plain. Cole slaw was simply lettuce in a bowl, no mayo, no dressing, looked like garnish. Was quite surprised about it. It was as though someone forgot to put dressing or toppings on half of our meals. I had the steak and it was fantastic. I definitely recommend this place. It was great.

The best restaurant on PEI. Amazing location, yummy food, super friendly staff. Definitely a place to visit while on the island. We’ll be back!

We shared the clams and mussels, as well as had a lobster sandwich. All were very tasty. More plain bread for dipping would have been appreciated — small $ basket of slow to arrive garlic bread was supplied after requesting bread. Friendly, though we did not receive the most efficient service. (Long wait to receive some parts of order, had to flag down for additional, slow to return to process cheque.)
Reservations recommended, especially if you wish to sit outside. Note that breezes can be quite chilly so, while limited number of blankets are available, best to bring a jacket/ dress appropriately.

Salmon cooked to perfection. Salad fresh and very chilled. Seafood chowder was the best I've ever eaten. View stupendous!

Food was fresh and tasty. They're very busy make reservations. Had one of the chowders and the golden beet goat cheese salad.

A great little place to pause for a drink, or lunch after the lighthouse. Situated right on the rocks of the point - sunsets must be spectacular! We didn't have food but the place was booked for dinner two hours after our stay. Very gracious and accommodating wait staff: good cold beer on draught.

I would give five stars for the location but in reference to service and food I was so incredibly disappointed. Please note, I never take the time to review my restaurant experiences but I feel compelled as it was so bad. I can put up with semi-bad service but I cannot put up with overpriced bad food don’t waste your money. I had been to this restaurant in 2016 and 2017 it was amazing I didn’t get there in 2018 but after tonight I will never set foot in this place again. The restaurant business is a tough business but you need to be consistent and this was far from consistent The hostess/ co-owner with her husband could barely acknowledge us, and then during our meal we were pressured to eat quickly and get out because they had another reservation. I booked mine a week ago and I indicated that we had a puppy and they said they were dog friendly restaurant but didn’t feel so friendly when we got there I even put this on my online reservation so it would be clear that we had a pup. I would definitely not recommend anyone wasting their money, we worked too hard for it. So so disappointed I was really looking forward to a positive experience.

Great very local and very fresh seafood. Service was excellent. The best seafood restaurant in Prince Edward Island, hands down.

Wow. This was an amazing experience. The view was incredible and the food was too! So grateful we stumbled upon this place.

There is a reason this restaurant is one of the highest rated on the island. Firstly you can't beat this view anywhere else on the island! The owners are amazingly lovely people and know what they're doing in the kitchen. The service was amazing and the staff was super friendly. The mussels in diabo sauce was the perfect amount of spice and hands down the best I've ever had. The warm lobster roll was delicious and the scallops were cooked to perfection. The only complaint I have is that I could not eat more as I was stuffed! I will definitely be back again and again and recommend to everyone.

An Islander recommended this place as the best food on PEI, and she is absolutely correct. The flavours of every dish we had are outstanding; the staff are friendly and welcoming, and the view is unbeatable. We had the crab cakes, baked brie, and bacon chowder to start. These are the best crab cakes I’ve had! For mains, we had the Dijon salmon, the Acadian chowder, and the filet mignon. Again, all dishes were exceptional. I highly recommend this place, but be sure to reserve a table so that you don’t miss out on this amazing experience!

Excellent, as always. Food delicious and service first class. Love sitting right by the water on a beautiful day. The owners are very friendly and remember you from previous years. Will be going again this summer.

Cute, small cozy restaurant next to the point prime lighthouse.i had Halibut fish and beat salad. It was the best Halibut I’ve ever tried. Beat salad was tasty and delicious.
If you go there in the summer, it would be a good idea to make a reservation.

Sunset - on point.
Food - to die for.
Service - PERFECT.
Mosquitos - Killer.

Not sure if the mosquitos are always that bad but definitely put some bug spray on before going. The view on the patio is exceptional. The food was incredible. I cant wait to go back. Highly recommend the salmon and seafood pasta! The deserts were super cute and delicious as well. We were not disappointed at all.

Excellent, very authentic sea shanty right on the water's edge. The food is exemplary and above expectations. The view of the Northumberland Strait is also magnificent. Make a reservation at the Chowder House to avoid disappointment.
