The food is amazing! It's a generous portion and tastes great! They have the best lobster burger (with real butter) and fish scallops and chips (which their special coating). I was traveling in PEI for 5 days and ended up having dinner there for 3 days straight! I'll definitely be back.

Best fish and chips ever! Expect long lines, it is that popular. Go there when the weather is good because it is mainly patio eating.

Richard’s is just the best.
Lobster roll, scallop burger, fish and chips everything is so good. The fries, coleslaw, tartar sauce even the side salad… everything is done well. Come here every year even with the line

First time getting a lobster roll and was not disappointed! I somehow figured the lobster would be warm but it was lobster salad, kind of like you would do with egg salad or chicken. The roll was grilled with butter so the contrast was amazing!

Possibly the best fish and chips I have ever had…. Off the. Beaten path, but worst the drive…

Beautiful location. However, the food was overpriced; $40 for the lobster and an iced tea. It’s too much money for the takeout system they have. Seating is limited and not necessarily part of the restaurant.

First stop at every PEI visit. Hot and cold lobster rolls are both delicious. I would skip fries if you’re trying a bunch of stuff. Friendly service, orders are out pretty quick given how busy it is.

Price for their lobster skyrocketed. If you don't mind the line, their scallops are still top-notch.

Excellent as always! Be careful about the crowds though. Nice weather in the the peak season and you can surely expect a line up.

I like Richard's lobster rolls very much, good amount of lobster meat and very tasty. We went 2 days ago. The lineup looked long, as it has many days we had passed by before. We decided to do a beach day and Richard's was on the lunch menu, we go every year. We thought for sure the lineup would move at a decent pace. WRONG! We waited over an hour to just place our order and then more to receive our lunch, 1 hour and 35 minutes total! While we can appreciate the popularity of this place, it's fun, has character and great lobster rolls, there is also an acceptable time limit. We were prepared to wait, but once we realized the lineup was moving so painfully slow, we were kind of stuck as it would have meant going elsewhere where there is nothing close by, dressed in our beachwear no less. My husband had the scallops, very good and my son wanted a salad. Sorry, we were told when we got to the order window, no salad left at lunch time. Go figure. I don't think we will be stopping by again. Also had to pay $2.00 to get into the parking lot.

Richard's definitely stood to it's reputation, - food was so delicious, staff was friendly and worked incredibly fast, there was quite a line up and it moved very well.
Got a picture snapped before opening, it is crazy how fast it turned from empty to a place busting with life.

This is a must try seafood restaurant in PEI. They have fresh, tender and delicious food. There was a long waiting line, but it was definitely worth it.

Ça valait l'attente et la résistance contre le vent! J'ai pris le "Lobster burger" et c'était un délice, mon copain a pris le lobster roll et a préféré mon choix ;-)! Dans le burger: pleins de bons morceaux de homards entiers dans une sauce avec (beaucoup) de beurre succulente! Vous trouverez également les fameuses bières de la microbrasserie Gahan chez Richard's!

Best fish and chips I've ever had. That's saying alot living in the maritimes! The only negative thing to say doesn't have anything to do with the food, just sometimes there can be long lines to get said best fish and chips. Worth the wait! Very filling, portions are generous, fries are awesome and the tartar sauce I eat by itself! Highly recommend

Excellent! A bit of a wait, even in off season, but well worth it. Some of the best deep fried fish and scallops I've had, BC to NL.

Everyone said it was a must for seafood lunch when in PEI.yup fish and chips were divine with a Blueberry Gahan's on the side:)

C'est le dernier lobster que nous avons goûté. Il est placé dans le parc national ce qui est agréable pour aller manger sur la place par la suite ou sur leur terrasse en hauteur avec vue sur l'eau.

Le prix est 26$ soit 6 $ plus cher qu'un lobster au chic chack a Charlottetown. Compter 2$ en plus pour se stationner comme c'est un port.

Toutefois, cela vaut son prix. Le lobster à un très bon assaisonnement qui le rend meilleur que d'autre: citron, cive et mayonnaise je pense. Les morceaux que nous avons eu étaient vraiment frais et majoritairement des pinces.

Prévoir de venir avant l'ouverture car la file peut être longue.

Ils ont une petite boutique sympathique.

WARNING: they put bacon on the fish burgers. I haven't eaten pork in 20 years and the menu did not mention bacon. Extremely upset about this and it's just plain rude to not mention it on the menu.

Richard's is the best! So fresh and delicious. Big portions, priced right. A must if you are on the Island. They also serve local beer and cider. 10 stars for me!

Crazy good lobster rolls and there's no secret about it, so plan on a wait: It's worth it! Nice choices of draught beers kept good and cold. A FULL 5-stars.

I can’t give a 5 only because of the flies. The food and hospitality was amazing. Had the lobster roll and it was over flowing with Lobster. The tartar sauce for the fish and chips was unique and very good. We actually saved a side of tartar to take home.

You can also get oysters in the half shell.

Bring your bathing suit as the kids are jumping off the wharf while you wait to order. (Which took us 35 min. Going to Richards is a true East Coast experience that can’t be missed.
